Felipe's written bid included cutting down several quite large trees & 2 tall-ish but not large in diameter gumball trees on our property. We paid him exactly what we had agreed to as stated on his invoice. It was dark when his crew left our property on Dec. 28, 2022. We didn't know til the next day that: 1) He had not cut down the 2 gumball trees. 2) WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION, he had cut down to the ground several 8-foot tall ornate bushes that we had been growing for 10 years. 3) WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION, he had pulled up our 20-year old rose bush by the roots & tossed it off to the side. This rose bush had sentimental value to our family. I didn't find it til several days after Felipe left our property & it was too late to save it. When Felipe 1st came to our home to give us a quote, I told him that I am an avid gardener & care about every plant on our property. I told him he needed to tell his crew to be careful & respect our gardens. He agreed to do that. Since Dec. 28, I have phoned & texted Felipe many times. I emailed him 18 times detailing all of the above issues. On Jan. 5, he replied to 1 text saying he would come back & cut down the 2 gumball trees. Today is Feb. 23 & he hasn't been back. He hasn't responded at all to my complaints about the damage he did to our plants. No apology or offer to replace them. So, if you don't mind paying big bucks for a tree service company to cut down your favorite plants without your permission & not bother to tell you, never reply to your many attempts to contact them, & only do part of the job they promised to do, Armstrong Tree Service will gladly do that for you. WOW! Excellent work!!! The guys came out this morning to take down 2 trees. They arrived on time, and ready to work. They were so careful to make sure nothing hit the house, and removed all of the debris for us. It was so impressive to watch them work. This company is absolutely wonderful! We scheduled an initial consult, and they were right on time for the meeting (which is greatly appreciated since my husband and I both work outside of the home). The consult was clear on pricing, very professional, and thorough. We consulted on Friday, and they were at our home on Monday morning to take care of a HUGE 100 year old dead Oak. The tree was 2 feet from the house, and structurally unsound. They had to go through our front yard with a bobcat and trucks, and we did not lose one blade of grass! They were extremely respectful of our strict HOA. I recommend this company to anyone that needs any tree removed from their property. This company removed 4 large trees (3 oaks and a pine) from our property in August , 2020 and did them all in one day, including cleanup. I don't think I've ever seen people work so hard. Most of the problems were minor - holes in the yard where pieces of the trees fell, 25+ year old azaleas crushed, security signs broken, gutters knocked loose. The worst thing that happened was a limb from the pine fell against the back porch and tore a section of screen. The woman that was there with them that day , I believe her name was Melissa, told me they would take care of the repair. There are 6 sections of screen on that side of the porch each approximately 4'x6'. One new section of screen would make the rest look bad so my husband decided he would do the work if they paid for the screen. Since you can't buy that small a piece of screen he had to buy a roll which cost approximately $50. I was told to send them the receipt when we purchased it which I did. As of today, 1/25/21, I have received no money. They sent me a Christmas card but I would rather have had a check. read more

When the workers came to do the work we had a miscommunication but issue was resolved and the work began. The guys did a good job taken down the two trees and a stump all in one day and a good price. Nothing but a headache... Appeared the day after storm, apparently was in my neighborhood. Knocked on door and said they would handle everything with insurance so I didn't have too. Their rep - Dusty claimed they work with my insurance company ALL the time. This didn't happen as they claimed. I ended up stuck in the middle of a 3 month dispute. Insurance company unhappy with overall service, the $10,000 charge for one tree removed and specifically their charging for specialty equipment not even used. Insurance Inspector reviewed video of the removal and seen no specialty equipment, when questioned they refused to adjust cost and remove the equipment expense. Insurance Inspector called it dishonest price gouging. Rep Dusty also represented Storm Solutions, a construction contractor very pushy to get the contract to repair the damage caused by the tree. Insurance paid the tree claim since the work was done and refused to accept a bid for the construction repair. I'm told they have been apparently flagged by the insurance company pending further investigation and I'm told reported to the BBB and insurance commission. If you use them, good luck! read more
