Glad we stopped in here! Had an hour to kill before the Wabash Men's Basketball game. Menu had a nice variety of sandwiches, wraps and salads. I highly recommend the Avocado Melt! I went with a half sandwich and garden salad. Now that I've had the A-melt I would just order the whole sandwich next time. It was delicious! Our server recommended the White Bean Chicken Chili to my husband. She was a huge fan and did a fantastic job describing it! He said it was great! Stumbled on this lovely cafe when the restaurant in Marshall, IN showed zero signs of life 15 minutes after it was supposed to open. Easy to find, nicely decorated, free parking nearby, friendly and efficient service. I got the veggie wrap. I'm always hesitant to order wraps because they are often so dressing heavy but this was light and delicious and chock full of fresh yummy veggies including avocado! I ordered chips but wished I ordered the salad as my side when I saw my friend's amazing side salad. Prices were good for amount of food. Would definitely go back! Delicious looking donut shop across the street but it sadly closed for the day while we were enjoying our lunch. read more

I have stopped by A Secondcity Cafe a few times since it has opened. My favorite order so far has been their soup options. Each soup special is made in-house and uses fresh ingredients. I suggested some friends driving through Crawfordsville stop at A Secondcity Cafe for lunch. They all texted me as soon as they left to rave about their sandwiches. I have not ordered anything there that I have not enjoyed. The food is fresh and the price is right! I'll continue to stop in for lunch whenever I can! read more

My husband and I stopped in for a quick Sunday lunch and truly enjoyed our time here! I had the Baby Spinach & Bacon salad with avocado ranch and he had the Chipotle Chicken Salad wrap. The food was excellent and the portions were perfect. I'm giving this four stars because I think they need to work on their appearance. We would have come in here much sooner if we had realized it was a restaurant. Don't let the art gallery walls fool you! Also I think they have too many daily specials - what makes the special so special if there are 6 specials? That being said, I loved our lunch and plan on coming back and bringing my family when they come to visit. read more

This place was amazing! We were traveling from Wisconsin to West Virginia in one day and needed to stop for lunch....didn't want a chain or fast food. The menu was varied....couldn't decide what to get. Chose a half sandwich (Cubano) with soup of the day "Loaded Squash with Potato"....both SO good! My husband had the Turkey Avocado Melt with a beautiful Spinach Salad with hard -boiled eggs as a SIDE! The bill for both was under $15. Will stop here again on our next trip east to Virginia Beach!! read more

In town for a meeting at the library, we found this place on Yelp. Excellent food and atmosphere, we highly recommend! We had the sweet BBQ pulled pork and the Jamaican Jerk pulled pork. Both were excellent and my southwest side salad we delicious with the avocado ranch. Big thumbs up!! read more

I use to eat here twice a week. It was pretty good food and close to where I work. I'm never one to complain about food being perfect, in fact I hate dining with people like that.But today was different. I ordered a turkey and cheese melt and i ate half of it (it was cut in two) the second half had a piece of what looked like gauze in it. I called them and they told me to bring it in and they would make me a new one. So I brought it to them and showed them and she said "is that all of it" with an attitude and I said "yes". And she went to the back and I could hear her and another girl say "seriously?!!" And she came back and said that It was just piece of rag but to not worry about it cus it was clean rag. And I said "are you kidding me?!" And she said since I had already ate half of the sandwich they wouldn't give me money back or a new sandwich. I said "are you joking, I ate half of it and then bit into the second half and found this piece of whatever it is, it's not edible and shouldn't have been in my food!" To which she said "sorry" with an attitude. I told her to keep it, cus I don't want it now. We would NEVER do that where I work at. And I can't believe how rude they were when I'm a regular customer that never complains. My coworker couldn't believe it either, because just the day before they gave us the wrong cheese on both of our sandwiches. They never give us silverware for TO GO ORDERS unless we ask!!! They gave her ranch today instead of mayo. And my coworker found a hair in her food a couple of weeks ago. And she has blonde hair and the hair was black. But we never complained before. Because like I said we just don't do that. But the "clean rag" which sure looked like gauze to me. Was the last straw! Don't go to this place, the girls there have attitudes and are more concerned about how they look then how they run their business. Will not be back ever and neither will my coworkers! I'm pleased to say that this nice space has been reinvented as a great lunch spot in downtown Crawfordsville. The seating is expansive, and the service is friendly and prompt. The meals we've had there were very good too. I had the chicken chipotle wrap with a side salad and I was impressed by how good it was, not to mention huge! My dining companion had the Reuben with a side of chili and both were excellent, especially on a chilly spring day. This is a great place within walking distance of work, and I look forward to making it a regular lunch stop. read more

We have been in Second City many times since opening. The food is always exceptional and the staff is super friendly. We have tried most of the sandwiches and everyone has been great! There are always new specials on sandwiches and soups. I would highly recommend this establishment and if you need a recommendation try the Monte sandwich. read more

Wait time is reasonable. Staff was awesome. Prices are fantastic. Food is good. When they have what you want. They run out of supplies weekly, but that's a problem that I'm sure will be fixed soon. Also, the menu lists a bunch of items you can't get certain parts of the year and that's just kind of weird.. But all in all, it's really pretty good. The food is just mind blowing. They take things that are so simple and so easy and give them explosive flavors that just leave you wanting to keep coming back for more. read more
