The person I dealt with was rude and unprofessional. STRONGLY ADVISE that you DO NOT shop here. I purchased a dress for an event at their store, which required tailoring. I didn't have any trouble when I bought the dress, with the exception of the employee almost losing my credit card and telling me I didn't give her my card when it was in full sight on the cash register. When I returned later for tailoring, the person that was "helping me" (the same person that almost lost my credit card) did not listen to my request; she had her own agenda regarding what she would do to alter my dress and then proceeded to tell me that I was "confused, didn't know what I was talking about, taking up too much of her time and in her store too long"; I said "I can't believe this is how you treat your customers"; her response was: "I just sold someone a $1000 dress today". I was originally quoted a price for tailoring that she said the employee who quoted me that "gave me the wrong information"; she was asking 1 1/2 times that price. Obviously, I left without leaving the dress there. After reading the other reviews, it looks like I dodged a bullet. Who knows how they would have butchered my dress and I doubt I would have received it back in time for the event. You are able to find the same type of dresses that are better quality at "Stacees" online. Stacees not only will get you the same dress, but it is half the price of what Chic Boutique charges and fitted to your specific measurements, therefore no need for additional money spent on tailoring... plus, the customer service at Stacees is stellar and accommodating. I ended up finding Stacees afterwards, to purchase a dress for my daughter, and they made sure the dress was perfectly sized and arrived with time to spare. I had the dress I bought at Chic Boutique, altered at "Tailorland" (who I would give 5 stars to!) in Newburgh, NY and they did amazing work! I told them exactly what I wanted and they pinned the dress all in a matter of 5 minutes. They did exactly what I requested with no questions asked for even less than the original (lowest) price. Moral of the story.. run from Chic Boutique.

If you don't get to the end of this review and only read one thing: Hiring Sandra was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. She is beyond dedicated to giving you the wedding of your dreams, and her ability to execute and make it ALL happen is nothing short of extraordinary. Every wedding needs a Sandra! We had the pleasure of working with Sandra from the beginning of our wedding planning journey all the way through our 3 day wedding weekend. When we were stumped looking for venues that could accommodate our large guest list AND a weekend-long celebration. Sandra approached us with a "think outside the box" venue: Timber Lake Camp, a beautifully serene summer camp nestled in the Catskills. We were unsure about the idea of a summer camp wedding but trusted her instinct - and thankfully we did. The day we visited the camp we knew it was PERFECT. 500 gorgeous acres with plenty of room to accommodate ALL of our guests, that we could have all to ourselves for an entire weekend - camp cabins, facilities, staff, and all! It truly felt like she had pulled a rabbit out of a hat and that was only the start of Sandra's magic! Throughout the entire year and a half long planning process, Sandra lent us her ear and expertise: she listened to our wishes, concerns, thoughts; guided us through a million different decisions; provided alternative options/ideas to meet our budget; and found the perfect vendors to bring our vision to life. She sat in on our calls with the coordinator at the camp, and even made visits to the camp with us - including one visit during a snowstorm! She also managed our multitude of vendors (including 3 separate caterers!) from the initial inquiries all the way through to the end of packing up after the wedding. When the wedding weekend came around, Sandra stayed on site all 3 days and made every event run smoothly - we felt like she was somehow everywhere all at once! We had multiple events, including our rehearsal, a Welcome BBQ, Karaoke Night, late night bonfire, and activities throughout the camp. If there were any hiccups, we didn't know about them! The day of the wedding, between everything she was coordinating and the multiple vendors on-site, she somehow still found time to check in with us to make sure we were okay. But honestly we truly felt at ease with Sandra running the show. Her professionalism, calmness, and get-it-done attitude made every part of the weeknd run seamlessly! And on top of it all, she made our marriage official by signing our marriage license. :) A total bonus that she is ordained and a special memory to share with her as she was such a big part of our special day! Our guests are still talking about how magical the weekend was. Many specifically commented that even with so many events and activities going on, it was one the most well-coordinated and organized weddings they'd attended. It was definitely a huge effort to pull off a 3 day wedding weekend on a 500 acre camp, but teamwork truly made this dream work! We could not be more grateful to Sandra, her team, and all of our amazing vendors for giving us a wedding better than we could have ever imagined! We can't recommend Sandra and HVC enough.

It's all such a whirlwind of activity. And the logistics at our farm were challenging, to say the least. I also greatly appreciated how, during the actual wedding and party afterward, Sandra and her assistant were there, in the background, keeping the caterer happy, moving tables, shuttling slightly inebriated guests to their cars, (thank you, especially for that. I think I would still find people walking the horse pasture fence, looking for their cars.) And for doing the behind-the-scenes things that rarely are noticed, unless they're not done. (For example, one of the porta potties malfunctioning). Sandra handled that with quiet speed. And mostly I appreciated how she took care of Amanda's mother's doilies, the family mementoes, tucking things away in the pool house for safe keeping. And for a good, general tidying up at the end of the night.

Ok, so from my very first visit, everyone here was fake and had an attitude. Every dress I tried on they would say looked amazing!!!!!! Just be honest, it's not helpful to tell me they all look good. I was a bride's maid, not the bride, but it was still annoying. They gave such a freaked out look when we told them that we were all wearing different colors and styles of dresses. Judgement was written all over there faces. This is not that bad you might be thinking, but here's where the fun begins... At my first fitting I looked at the dress and thought, "wow, that looks huge." I am a typical size 6...in almost everything. Granted, I have a large chest, so sometimes a bigger size is necessary...they had ordered me a size 12! It was ridiculously huge on me. They ordered a size 14 for one of the other bride's maids and she is typically a size 8. They then asked me what bra I planned on wearing and I told them that I was thinking about not wearing one if it looked ok...they rolled their eyes and told me that I should definitely rethink wearing a bra and proceeded to write on my order slip "refuses to wear a bra". They told me that the dress wouldn't be fitted properly because I refused to wear a bra and I said, I WILL wear a bra if it looks better! They were really just trying to blame me because the dress was not fitting correctly (BECAUSE THEY ORDERED A SIZE 12!) That was not the worst of it, because I could care less if someone judges me for not wearing a bra, but then they were rude to the bride. At her first fitting the dress was too small. They had measured her exactly last time she was in and she was working out in the meantime, so she had not gained weight. They had an attitude and said to her "Oh, you were SUPPOSED to have lost weight"!!!! What a rude comment to make! They had quite the attitude with her and ordered her a new size after telling her she should have lost weight. There were so many awful experiences, I feel like I'm forgetting a few of them. The day before the wedding, one bride's maid was supposed to pick up her dress. She had a screaming baby at home and was running late. When she called the dress shop (crying, mind you), they told her "Well, if you don't get here before we close, I guess you just won't have a dress tomorrow" That's lovely customer service. The women at this place need to retire. They are all miserable and make everyone around them miserable. Please, do yourself a favor and DO NOT go here!

The communication from A Perfect Blend in the year leading up to our wedding was wonderful--any question we had, they answered right away. Their online planning portal was also so incredibly helpful for figuring out exactly what we wanted for music and how the flow of the day would go! And when we finally got to the day, DJ Mario was amazing! He did a perfect job of blending me and my husband's music tastes and playing crowd pleasers that got everyone hyped and on the dance floor. He dropped so many bangers during our first dance set that our Best Man turned to us and said "this playlist is TOO good! I can't sit down!" Mario kept the reception flowing perfectly, and I was THRILLED when he handed me the mic for a little karaoke session. It was truly the most fun I've ever had! I'd fully recommend this service if you're looking for a wedding or event DJ - they asked questions we wouldn't have thought of (age group of our guests - suggested where to do the cake cutting to make sure the dance floor didn't empty out, etc), which made our lives easier during this hectic time. 10/10 for sure!!!
