If you are looking to step back in time, when entering a shop meant being received with interest and warmth, you have come to the right place. Roam from room to room, wooden floor creaking underfoot, and discover something new in the baskets and shelves that line the walls of this lovely cottage. I ran in to grab a ball of yarn and needles. Three hours later, and filled with enthusiasm and contentment, I left with my yarn and needles and a few other needlepoint projects. I cannot wait to go back and enjoy the conversation and knowledge of this small family and owners of a stitch in time. read more

The classes were successful, bringing customers into the store and creating a fun community event. I was excited to support another woman-owned business. I received one payment in February 2026 for approximately four weeks of lessons. After that, I continued teaching throughout March, April, and May. Despite repeated requests for payment, I was given various reasons for the delay and assured that payment was coming. I even offered to accept installment payments if that would help. Unfortunately, payment never arrived. For months, I attempted to resolve this matter privately through texts, phone calls, in-person conversations, and follow-up requests. I ultimately sent a certified demand letter, which was received, yet I am still awaiting payment for services that were provided months ago. I take responsibility for not having a more detailed written agreement in place. However, I firmly believe that when work is completed as agreed, payment should be made in a timely manner. I do not write this out of anger. I simply want to be paid for the work I performed. My hope is that Coastal Elements will honor its commitment and resolve this matter without further action.

In particular, I was thrilled that Donna has open stock on a wide variety of Tim Holtz Distress inks (ink pads, refills!!!!!!, and markers). I was able to fill in nearly every missing item in my set. I did not find myself going back and forth between different shelves/ areas making comparisons and looking for matching items. No need, because they were all in exactly the right spot. As I was visiting this shop during a business trip, I asked Donna to ship to me (20 ink bottles will not fit into carry-on luggage!). When it arrived promptly at my house, I was completely surprised by how meticulously she had packaged my purchases. There was not a single chip on any of the glass bottles, nor any leakage.
