I was blown away as soon as I walked in... so much to take in. This is a gift shop on crack! I was going back and forth between 2 and 3 stars, so I would give it 2 1/2. I've never heard of Swoozies before until recently. We just so happen to drive pass it while at the Town Center. They had a tent set up with Christmas items marked 50% off. Even on sale, I thought the prices were high, but I decided to go inside and look around for a bit. They had a bunch of unique party supplies and gift items, but I was not impressed with the outrageous mark-ups. Of the three items I checked the pricings on, all three were marked up drastically higher then other places. The exact same FL bamboo cutting board is available at Bed, Bath, and Beyond for $19.99 ($15 with a $5 coupon), at Swoozies it's $29.95. If you've never had Funky Chunky popcorn, it's yummy. The small canister is $15 at Swoozies. I can buy the large canister for that price or less at TJ Maxx. Lastly, a gold disco tumbler for $24.95 is just insane! Groupon is selling a three pack for $22, and Rue 21 has something similar for $5 in silver color. Brittney G hit the nail on the head with what she wrote regarding the customer service. Swoozies a fun store to browse around, but as far as actually buying something, I'm sure I can find the exact same thing elsewhere for much less so I doubt I'll be back. read more

I loveeeeeeee this place! I want to throw a party everytime I come in here. Everything is cute and funny and they sell things that you don't see other places. So this store caught my eye as I was on my way to another store nearby. When I first walked in I liked all the color I saw. Pricey but that is with any specialty store. Anyone who loves pinterest or getting married or looking for a small gift for a special event they had a baby section, wedding, and lots of items you could put your name and initials on. I ended up ordering a custom weekly planner and I can't wait for it to arrive. This is definitely a place any sorority girl would love. I would give it 5 stars but it was a little awkward when I first walked in and wasn't greeted and it took a while for someone to speak as I was browsing. When you are spending money on items that are more premium pricing you just expect that exceptional level of customer service. But none the less everyone I did speak with was friendly. read more

Everybody needs to know about this place. What at least every man does that doesn't know how to wrap a gift. They offer gift wrapping if you're around which is great for birthdays anniversaries as well as Christmas time. Only caveat is that you have to buy wrapping paper from them, but you can bring in a gift that you bought an any other store and they will wrap it for you. Catherine Walker and her staff (Cami and Andrea in particular) are absolutely amazing at taking someone's vision and making it a reality. Catherine has her finger on the pulse of what's new, classic or fun and funky. They worked tirelessly to help me and my DIL plan every little detail for a shower and wedding. Their high-end stationary selections and other accessories were exactly what I wanted. Their design and personalization options are excellent. I've lived here for over three years, and discovered Swoozie's a little over two years ago. I loved this store! I loved buying the cups (and other cute items) for people and having them personalized. For trips, or a souvenir when people would come visit, or just recently for a bachelorette party. Unfortunately today I had a horrible experience and I will not shop there again. Let me preface this by saying, I had worked in retail management for over 13 years. And while in that position I understood the value of customer service, and how with the climate of retail you need to value every customer who comes into your brick and mortar establishment, for all the obvious reasons, but also due to the fact that online shopping is so easy and can be done from the comfort of, well absolutely anywhere. I had a great experience this last time (Saturday, 10-12-19) picking out the cups, the font, and the colors. The associate that helped me was fantastic. She made a bunch of helpful suggestions. It wasn't until I went to pick them up today that I experienced an issue. First I didn't receive a call that they were ready. I wasn't concerned about the call b/c the associate on Saturday told me they would be ready way before today (Thursday 10-17-19). She said they would call but she also told me not to worry and they would be ready. The associate I worked with today went to the back to get them. She came out shortly after and said, "did someone call you and tell you they were ready?" I say no and told her what the other associate told me. She smiled in a way that indicated "you didn't receive a call, why are you here?" She told me she would look again. She came back with the cups all completed, so I thought no harm, no foul. But the brides cup was not correct. I explained to her that it was wrong and how. She said they could remove the incorrect part. I told her that the correct part was on the wrong side. I called that side the back of the cup. (I had chosen which side of the cup l wanted the names and which side I wanted the saying.) She then told me there's no back and no front. That's not how I see it when both sides are not identical. One side has the cup makers brand in a bright color. That doesn't really matter when you are the customer though... I wanted it how I had envisioned the end product. But I decided to leave the cup as is. I left the store and regretted my decision and went back to have it corrected. Which they charged me for... and on top of being charged for it, I again was getting attitude from the associate who originally brought out my cups that morning. Again being in the customer service industry in the past I tried to let it go. Obviously it seems the store and a few employees were having an off day. I figured I would speak to the manager when I picked my item up later. They told me they would call me when it was ready. This was at around 12:45. At 5pm I decided to call them. I was getting concerned b/c I was leaving for this trip the following day and would not be able to make it back to the store on Friday before I left. They said it was ready and that the note on the cup said they had called but there was a busy signal on my phone. I cannot tell you the last time or if ever I heard a busy signal on cell phone. On top of that I hadn't been anywhere out of range or on my phone. So I went to pick up my cup. The girl behind the counter was fairly nice, a bit hesitant to wrap my cup for me like they had done with the others. And the other associate I can only assume was the manager just walked straight past me, I was looking at her and she looked past me, without a greeting or even any eye contact. Like I said I was going to talk to a manager about my experience, but after that cold reception I decided to just leave and write a review instead. I'm disappointed in Swoozie's, and the way this situation was handled. I was nothing but kind and (unfortunately, b/c it's my nature) I was apologetic that they were going to have to redo the cup. I felt bad that they were going to have rework the same cup again. But I was not apologizing for a mistake I made. And I completely understand mistakes happen. But I would never expect a customer to pay for the mistake. Unfortunately in retail sometimes the business needs to eat the cost so the customer is happy. I really hope the $10 was worth the loss of a customer. read more

I stopped in to see about some decorations for my wedding while my 9 and 10 year old daughters walked around swooning over unicorns and mermaids. As usual, when we were done, I told my girls to put back anything they may have had in their hands and began to leave. My 9 year didn't have anything, but my 10 year old had a headband on that she returned to the display table that it came from. We had parked right outside the store and she hopped in the car just after me. As we drove off, she proceeded to tell me about the "annoying lady" that was following her while I shopped. Now, anyone that has ever shopped there knows that the store is not very big, but it is quite cluttered so I didn't stay very long and since I was busy had not noticed what if anything was going on. My daughter continued to tell me about how the woman followed her around and made her feel uncomfortable and how, even after she was headed to put the headband back stopped in her tracks to tell her to put it back and stood there to observe my daughter putting the headband away. My daughter goes on to tell me how she doesn't understand why that woman did that but that she felt "really bad." I returned to the store to let her know how she made my daughter feel and she fumbled over her words and attempted to turn the story around. Her name was Ellie. read more
