His company is competent, appliances were fixed the first time His company got to my problem quickly , usually the first day His pricing structure was fair and cost effective. A TEX Appliance I was shocked when i heard A TEX appliance guy was charging me for $129 for a 15 minutes check up fee, before I called him, a friegeaire certified repair company told me upfront about $89 service fee, and another one charge less, i was in a rush, so Will from A Tex appliance showed up with his wife, without telling me about fee charge, basically told me they couldnt repair, but they were charging 50% more than any other companies for service call, they yelled when i questioned about the price, said if i post any bad reviews, i would get into big trouble by getting sued for defamation. seriously i got scared, i was by myself, when i was paying, i was asking for invoice, he said that i need to pay to get invoice, but after that, NO, no invoice. Basically his price $129 was for his knowledge for not repairable. So, 1, this company charged 50% more than any other companies for service call without any quote upfront, not over the phone, not in person, only saying lets see; 2, the price for the part he claimed for a $549 brand new refridge was over $300; 3, No invoice!!!! 4, Super super rude!!! I had a washer that was leaking like a sieve, and a wife that was sick of it. I was referred to A Tex Appliance Repair by a friend. Will picked up right away, and after explaining the issue over the phone, he looked up the parts needed to repair our washer. He called back promptly to let me know, that because of the pandemic, the parts required would be back-ordered for several weeks, up to 4 months even. This made my decision super easy - TIME TO BUY A NEW WASHER. I like that. No hemming and hawing, no back and forth, Will was direct and straightforward, and I appreciate his honesty. A Tex was super professional and prompt in taking care of our refrigerator repair. It was making noise and we called them to take a look. They were quick to diagnose the problem, explain it to us and they showed us the part which was needed to be ordered and it's price. They ordered the part and came back next day to fix it. They were running late than scheduled time and they were courteous enough to notify us of the delay. They also took care of clean up after the work was done. I called Will again to work on our ancient Jenn Air cooktop. It was rusting out and on the fritz. It was obvious we needed a brand new cooktop. But, Christmas is coming and we have a dinner party so we needed a miracle since we couldn't get a new one installed in time. Will came out and got the old thing firing on all cylinders. Will was pretty much the best appliance repair person I could have asked for. After nearly calling 3-4 different repairment in the area, they referred me eventually towards Will who offered me great advice on things to check and troubleshoot on the phone. He did this only because I asked him technical info and because I felt comfortable doing this myself. He also came as quick as he possibly could and didn't make us wait a day or two while all of our food would go to waste. When what I checked didn't work, he made the best guess that he could over the phone as to what the problem was and when he arrived he was sure enough right on the spot. Helped save our fridge and save us a lot of money. His prices are rather inexpensive too. Will is very polite, knowledgable, and friendly. Some of the other reviews mention "Rudeness", and I'm guessing if that's a legit review then it was a tech that Will has sense let go. I called Will Stalley, the owner, around 11:15 AM on a Saturday. He was out front of my house at 1:30 PM. The first thing that stood out was his professionalism. Every sentence ended in sir or ma'am, and he was very personable. He spent over one hour running diagnostics and explaining what was wrong with my unit. After about ten minutes conversing, I came to the conclusion this man has a doctorate in appliances. He is extremely knowledgable in what he does, informing me he has over 20 years experience. I have been plagued with bad vendors since home ownership, but this man is a keeper and I will be referring him to anyone who needs appliance repair (dishwasher, microwave, stove, refrigerators, etc.). read more

Reliable. Professional. Honest. Prompt. The week of Thanksgiving my oven decided to break and I was hosting a Thanksgiving feast for 18 people. In a panic I searched yelp for help! Will from A TEX Appliance Repair returned my call almost immediately and I described the issue. He did some troubleshooting over the phone and was able to diagnose the problem. He was very honest and gave options, making sure I had all the information to make an informed decision. Will made sure I was a priority so my Thanksgiving dinner would not be affected. I called on a Sunday. He ordered the part I needed that night. The part was delivered to him on Monday and he was at my house Tuesday morning to complete the repair. He spent plenty of time ensuring that the problem was fixed before he left my house. Will was extremely polite, using sir and ma'am...a true Southern gentleman. After explaining to the gentleman what troubleshooting was done I said that it was just out of warranty and he suggested contacting Samsung to see if they would still cover it. Loved this company! Will is friendly, honest and affordable. Very knowledgable about various models and parts availability. Note: Will fixes a few appliances (dishwashers, microwaves, etc.), but is part of a syndicate of repair folks that repair everything. I got his name from the washer/dryer repair people, and then got the name of a plumber from Will. They screen each other for knowledge, skills, customer care and fair pricing, and have agreed on things like a standard trip charge, etc. Dishonesty or greed is quickly addressed and forced out of the fraternity. I'll never have to research or gamble on another repair person again - I'll just give one of these guys a call and get hooked up! read more

Rude - absolutely vial individuals with no customer service sense whatsoever. They were assigned to me by my home warranty office and didn't bother to call to set up an appointment. When I finally reached a live person on the phone he was so incredibly rude that he yelled at me saying he did not want my business and to call the warranty office to have the order reassigned. read more

Called these guys to fix my Maytag microwave, the kind that mounts above the stove. They were friendly, professional, communicative. The repair required two separate visits when the part, the magnetron, had to be picked up from a supplier the next morning. Then the repairman had to run to Home Depot to pick up a new capacitor. They have a $75 minimum charge, but the microwave repair cost me $200, almost as much as a new one. read more

Mr Stalley has me very confused. He came out at the end of October and looked at my dishwasher and refrigerator. The next at he promptly came out with the part for the dishwasher he said the parts for the refrig were on back order should have in 2 weeks. I was very satisfies and thought I had found the man for all of our appliance repairs. Having not hearing from him I called just before Thankdgiving ) approx. 3 wks ). He called back and said he would be out the next day, the next day he called and said his truck broke down on 35 and would not be able to make our appt.. From then on he hasn't returned any phone calls or emails or text messages. I called another repair company on Friday 1/5 and they just came back with the parts today 1/10 to fix my refrig. I initially agreed with all of the other positive reviews, but he has proved them wrong. read more
