We were told that the adjuster would contact us in 24 hours. Didn't happen. I asked for help from my agent and was told they could only send a request to have the adjuster contact us. Still no response. Finally after 5 days I finally heard from the adjuster. He said he was scheduled to do an inspection on a certain day. He didn't show up. Another week went by because he said the roof was too steep for him to climb and he would have to contract an independent company to do the inspection. Finally, the inspection was done on April 17th. Now we were waiting for the adjuster to submit an estimate. Another phone call/vm from me to adjuster on April 21st. He did return my call on April 22nd with estimate. I can see why reports say State Farm is loosing business. The whole process has been extremely stressful. I am looking at other insurance companies and careful reading reviews. I'm done with State Farm.

After I purchased a brand-new car, she entered my information incorrectly three separate times. On top of that, she got into a shouting match with my mother simply because my mother asked where my insurance card was. Instead of calmly explaining that the insurance card would be issued and mailed, she repeatedly yelled, "You don't need an insurance card." As a New York driver, we absolutely do need an insurance card in our vehicle. Despite waiting over three months, my insurance card it never arrived. At that point, I decided to switch agents. I called her as a courtesy to let her know I was transferring. She hung up on me. When I called back to give her the benefit of the doubt, my call went straight to voicemail. I left a detailed message explaining what went wrong and offering feedback on how she could improve. She later called me back, yelling again, claiming that my new agent's information was incorrect and that she was unable to transfer clients. However, I had already spoken with State Farm corporate, who confirmed that transferring a client requires one simple step. That tells me this was either laziness or incompetence. Her lack of communication skills, poor handling of paperwork, and unprofessional behavior makes it clear that "40 years of experience" means nothing if you can't properly do your job or treat clients with respect. I strongly recommend choosing one of the other State Farm agents in Burbank, California.
