I am honestly so over this place…read more I set up my policy with them last year and was paying over $480 for one car. I was told that adding everyone in my household would lower my rate. Later, I found out I had actually been paying an extra $100 per month to have my younger brother added to my policy. He does not drive my car. The only reason I agreed to add him was because I was explicitly told it would reduce my payment. When I asked for an explanation as to why I was told this, they had no answer. When I asked how much extra I had been paying because of him, they said they would "look into it" and I never heard back. Canceling my policy was an absolute nightmare. Even after requesting that all policies be canceled, I continued to receive letters. I later found out my life policy hadn't been canceled because it's supposedly "separate," which was never clearly explained. I canceled that as well a week or two ago, yet I am now receiving emails saying I missed a payment on a policy that should already be canceled. They pulled the exact same stunt on my mom, telling her it would be cheaper to add my brother to her policy which was also completely false. This feels incredibly misleading and dishonest. If you currently have a policy with them, I strongly suggest you double or triple check exactly what you're being charged for and why. Ask questions and don't take their word for it. Coming here was one of the worst mistakes I've made. I switched because I was told it would be cheaper and as time went on it would lower only for it to go up when the policy renewed and I couldn't have been more wrong.

My time with them was not good. I filed a claim for my roof. They sent an adjuster, feedback, there…read moreWAS hail damage to the metal vent covers but not to the shingles. Interesting. My contractor and me reached out multiple times to speak to Tim or have him contact us. He never did. I was told in an email that if I want to talk to Tim, I had to email him. Tim and State Farm have no problem taking your money, but you will get no support, and the claims people will fight you tooth and nail to prevent providing you coverage. It is my opinion Tim's cowardice prevented him from having difficult conversations or supporting his clientele, let alone returning a phone call. Don't waste your money or time with State Farm or this agent. The only redeeming experience was the ladies that work in the office.
