My son was hearing a "funky fan noise" in his gaming computer. Sure enough, a fan went out and crashed his entire system. It was going to be 7-10 days if I ordered one off the internet (drama for the week before school starts), and the Local Big Box store was a little "rich" for his budget. I Contacted Jim, shared my plight and he came up with a new power supply that had been "sitting in his truck for awhile, so the Box isn't pretty" and he named me a very fair price. Jim went so far as to offer to "take back" the power supply and return my son's money if it didn't solve the problem. Long story short, IT DID SOLVE THE PROBLEM and my son learned a valuable lesson in budgeting, working with a strong local business and trouble shooting his own technical dilemma's. When we moved to Fort Collins, I was most apprehensive about leaving my computer technician who had helped me with my computers from the first Apple. A Through Z Computing are AMAZING and absolutely saved my laptop! It crashed and burned due to a dog tripping on my cord and spilling my drink on my keyboard, which over time fried a Memory stick and part of the motherboard! They took me in, panicked, on a Sunday evening and I had my laptop back and working, after LOTS and LOTS of amazing work on their part and trying everything they could to NOT have to reinstall Windows, etc! It's now working with just the one memory stick and they gave me all the helpful info I needed on the problem and what may still go wrong because of the hardware frying. The response was much quicker than expected and they were able to restore my laptop to 100% without missing a beat or losing any data that was on the computer to start with.
