They tried to get me to repair a computer screen for $600 instead I picked my old computer up, traded it in at BestBuy and got a brand new computer for $600. This place will scam you of your money and I never got my $50 back because they said it was nonrefundable but didn't tell me that. If I could give a place zero stars, this is it. I had been struggling with downloading Office 365. For some reason Webroot was blocking Chrome making it difficult to just down load simple install. Nick figured it out in a few tries, explained the situation and helped with a few other issues. He didn't even charge me! Wow! I spilled coffee on my Mac and was told by apple that it would be $1200 to fix and I would have to send my computer in and not get it back for weeks. I went to computer doctors and they were able to fix everything for a fraction of that cost and I got it back super quick!!!! They were so friendly and helpful. My husband and I have had both our PCs and IMac fixed here and were very impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of all the staff. Today I had a different request, I called to ask a question about OS system that was very out of date for a friend of mine in Texas. She was near tears and I called David, to see if he could help a pair of mid 60 year olds in distress. I ended up calling my friend from a different phone and the 3 of us were connected. David not only talked us through each and every step, he was patient and kind when delivering them. So I went to the about a year ago to have a new SSD installed. Got it back and it had 1/2 the space of the purchased SSD. called and the kid on the phone said that it was because purchased space never equals advertised space. Which is true for a few MBs. Not 125GB. Told me to get it repaired would cost another hundred I gave up and now am having issues with disk space. They are shady here. Avoid. read more

Inaccurate product knowledge only surpassed by poorer customer service. If you have Mac products go somewhere else. They do not have the proper knowledge to help you and lack the basic customer service skills that can keep a very easy going customer happy. When I initially brought my 5 month old laptop in as it kept requesting a boot disk the Tech said it might be the motherboard and rather than referring me to check with the warranty did a virus repair. Six months later I finally got it to a good computer repair place which indeed confirmed it was the motherboard and it was serviced under warranty. My ongoing interactions with staff have been spotty at best. The first person I spoke to was very helpful and the last person I spoke with was arrogant, condescending, and stated that in his experience most people are just trying to rip off their company and he wasn't willing to address my concerns. I totally support small locally run businesses, but this is one small business that hasn't earned the communities business. read more

My experience with Computer Doctors has been very positive. I am an independent contractor and can't be with out a computer for a day, or my work can't get done. Computer doctors charged me $100 to fix my computer, except they didn't fix it. When I told the staff member days later my computer had the same problem, he said the real problem was probably an outlet in my home and that needed to test it with a voltmeter. It was like bringing my car to a mechanic, then being charged by the mechanic and told the problem was fixed only to have the car break down near the shop. Then bringing the car back and being told that you've been using the wrong kind of oil all along. Except that your car was running fine with that oil for several years. Honestly, you are better off buying a new computer if you need these hacks to repair your current computer. This place is the worst. read more

I took my laptop PC here because all of the USB ports randomly stopped working. They were extremely friendly and tried all kinds of solutions, none of which initially worked. They eventually took the USB ports apart and then put them back together, and they've worked fine since (more than a month later)! Since they couldn't exactly diagnose the issue, they only charged me the initial $25 drop-off fee- they didn't charge for labor at all! I gave them 4 stars just because they had my computer for over a week and I had to call them for updates instead of them calling me (even when they said they would). I went in today with my iPad because my headphones broke off leaving the jack stuck inside. They said they don't do work on iPads but took the time to help me anyways. So much better than a big box store. I needed something relatively simple (a new power adapter for my laptop) and had been quoted $80 by everyone else. These folks had one in stock that I could test right there for only $38. The gentleman I spoke to gave me some other sage advice about another computer I am having difficulty with as well. I will surely consult with these guys before my next laptop purchase as they really appear to know the pros and cons of each brand, particularly for those of us that are using our computers for business vs. personal applications. read more

I am a long time customer of Computer Doctors and a member of the IT community. When I have complex problems that I have never seen before Computer Doctors has always been able to give me the right advice and help me or my customers get back up and going quickly. Most recently there was a driver update that came through Windows Updates that messed up my Windows Time Clock. Couldn't find anything on the net, and I haven't heard of any reports of this issue. After speaking with Computer Doctors, they told me what was wrong and it ended up resolving my problem. The owner especially is the only person I know that is smarter than me when it comes to resolving computer problems. He is nearly a genius and his passion for the industry shines through in everything he does. His prices are also very reasonable, most of the time if a customer of mine wants to buy something I go through Computer Doctors. Mainly because of the customer service and prices, and I know if something went wrong I can ask them questions. If I went to Best Buy those idiots couldn't find their way out of a paper bag even if they had a map. I would give the same sentiment to other computer shops in town as well. I called today, March 9, 2015 asking for the owner to let him know that I was taking my laptop elsewhere & that I thought I should get my money back. I talked with William, the main Tech Support, who wanted to "make it right" if I'd let him. I let him know that I've not been one bit happy with everything, but I'd give them one more shot. I took it back, met with William & also met the owner, Tim Washburn. Turns out that Tom had never told them that my main issue is the "buzz/freeze" & that's why Nelson was surprised when I worked with him last Saturday. William tried & tried to resolve my buzz/freeze by going to the back and checking online for solutions. At the end both William & Tim said that they wanted to try other things keeping my laptop overnight. If resolution came quickly, I'd pick it up tomorrow afternoon. If not, they would then "RE-INSTALL" my Windows 7, which would eliminate my passwords and programs needing me to reinstall programs and reset all my passwords. After I got home I just couldn't deal with that. Called & told William that they were not to reinstall my Windows 7. He hesitated - I then said Tim told me that reinstalling my Windows 7 would be a "last resort," but...I then said, "Reinstalling Windows 7 is your only resort, isn't it???" William said, "Yes." I said I'll be right back to pick up my laptop & what about my $99? William said they would refund my money. I picked up my laptop & reminded William I needed my refund. They simply returned my check - that worked. It has been a journey I don't care to repeat; however, they did the honorable thing and gave me my money back. read more
