I have been very Happy with the A to Z Fire-Pinellas Location. I have several Rental properties and had two fire extinguishers installed 2 years ago at my duplex. The first year, I received a "friendly reminder" email that my fire extinguishers were due for their annual inspection. A to Z went out at my request and inspected them both. This year when I received the "friendly reminder", I decided to bring the fire extinguishers to them. They were very professional, trained me on the use of the extinguishers, and even suggested I attach the Extinguisher Instruction Manual to my leases. I was so impressed I purchased extinguishers for the rest of my rentals!!! I would recommend A to Z Fire for all your fire equipment needs. Give them a call for a free estimate. I have never given a bad review, but this one is warranted. I run a small business and A to Z had previously serviced the fire extinguisher that was already in the building. It hadn't been serviced since 2015 so obviously it was time. I called and left messages THREE TIMES with different people and left both my cell phone and the store's phone numbers. I never got a call back or any sort of indication that they would come service it. In fact they asked me to just bring it all the way up to them since it would be easier for them. I called a few more times besides that with no answer. Because of their negligence and lack of response, we received a $150 fine from the city. DO NOT GO TO THEM FOR ANYTHING!!!!!!! Piper Fire Protection is who we will be using from now on. They have already been more responsive and helpful than A to Z and their lazy employees. read more

I can't give this company any stars due to their underhanded tactics. They came out without being called, coerced our tenant to have their 2 fire extinguishers charged - all without receiving the landlord's approval. Apparently there is a data base of fire extinguishers and these 2 had not been inspected in 2017 with all the rest in the building and A to Z took it upon themselves to try to connive to get business. Based on the 2 other bad reviews I can see why. I have never done business with them in the past and would never do business with them in the future. read more

We never give bad reviews about companies but this one has pushed our threshold. Mr Freitag the "president" came out and gave us a quote for new extinguishers and signs which was faxed to us as an official estimate and sounded acceptable to us. 2 days later, before we agreed to get the fire extinguishers, another rep came out and gave us a hand written estimate on a piece of paper which was over double the original official estimate that was faxed to us. They told us they had no record of the original estimate and it did not exist in their database and it would not be honored. I called Mr. Freitag to discuss the confusion and he said he would take care of it and honor his original estimate. When it was time to order the work, they added 20% more to the cost of the fire extinguishers AND tried to add $72 in trip charges that was not in the original estimate. We got a second vendor quote and they were $40 less than the original estimate we received. We've used them for 5 years between 2 locations to "re-certify" our old extinguishers and they lost our business by trying to be greedy. Don't use a company that won't honor their word. A to Z Fire is one of these companies. read more

Worst company ever. Takes too long to do the work. They do not show up when they say they are going to. They give you a quote with a low price then send you invoices for work that was not done or was not agreed on. You send an email to one person and anyone in the company can respond. Very unprofessional and the employees STEAL. The service guys took an extension cord & a flashlight. A real company would have workers with the right equipment. We started our work in Feb and it is now July. There is a huge lack of communication in this company. The guys who come do work leave.without telling you what has been done or what needs to be done. WE WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. If I could I would Give them a 0 star rating !!!! read more
