He also had good ideas like adding shiplap to a room and making the hallway upstairs narrower so the a closet had room for a washer and dryer. I did most of the priming and painting. The drywall guys were messy, I had to spend time cleaning out the new HVAC ducts and other stuff. All and all it was a great job, the house looks amazing.

Matt and Kevin were so knowledgeable with Calvert County codes and regulations and offered a wonderful rendering to address the codes and safety! The price was fair and we plan on making them our go-to for our quoted project and many more projects! We love that they gave us a fair price upfront and didn't bargain with us once we said we could not do the project at that time. We asked several friends who each have successful landscape companies in different states and they confirmed the quote we received from Lawn Artist was very fair. We gave Kevin and Matt several inspiration pictures and the rendering we received more than met our expectations so much so that we are putting off saving for a needed kitchen renovation to save for this project instead. A month later, I still haven't heard from the other company. The estimation process was relatively painless, and the estimate was received about a week after the site visit. I was told it could be up to 6 weeks before I heard from the scheduler, due to their current workload. However, I was contacted on a Friday about 2 weeks later and was told that Monday had opened up for them and that a truck with the materials was already on its way to my property. Since they didn't need anyone home when the work was performed, I agreed. When I got home from work on Monday, the job was done. There was still some debris in the yard, but they did a really good job of cleaning up. I haven't found a single nail on the ground, yet. There were 30 MPH wind gusts the day of the job, so I'm surprised there wasn't more trash scattered around my 7 acres. (I'm also surprised I didn't find roofers scattered around my place!) Medlin "patched" it, leading us to believe that the "fix" would work but it only grew worse. More cracks began appearing after less than a year. (Medlin brought in materials to build a foundation before pouring concrete). The supposed "high quality" concrete is now chipping and developing holes. Other damage was done to the property. We called James and requested visits to address the problems, but he never came although he said he would (or would "try"). Project was done in October 2021. Last request for follow up was September 2022. Quality is heartbreaking and disappointing.

He brought and excavator when he really needed a bobcat to prep the site. He left the crew working in the dark with no lights at the completion. The crew left concrete splattered all over my door and house, the pad has severe low spots so the garage leaks as the water runs under it, he cut relief joints several feet into what was supposed to be the smooth garage floor, the pad holds water in multiple places, destroyed my driveway with the trucks and when it was all done he left probably 10 tons of dirt piled up in the yard. I should have looked better, they have been sued multiple times for the same thing. I gave him an opportunity to fix the issues, but he just had excuses and even went so far as to claim I have a "hidden stream" in that specific spot and that I was being cheap because I only gave him $1500 OVER the price he originally quoted when he came to look this first time.
