When you're investing in a 90-minute treatment plus tip, you expect a sanctuary. Instead, I left feeling more stressed than when I arrived. While I understand that many businesses have cancellation policies, this was never disclosed to me at the time of booking. There was no clear mention--verbally or otherwise--that I would be charged the full cost of the visit if I did not show up. Only after the charge was processed was I informed that this is part of their policy. Transparency is critical in any service-based business, especially when it involves significant fees. Failing to communicate such an important policy upfront is unacceptable and misleading. In addition, the way the situation was handled reflected poorly on the business. The staff came across as inexperienced and lacking professionalism. Instead of addressing the concern in a clear and customer-focused manner, the interaction felt dismissive and unstructured. Overall, this experience left a negative impression. Clear communication, accountability, and professional conduct are essential, and unfortunately, those standards were not met here. The staff were professional and the background sounds were relaxing. We both enjoyed our visit. My only suggestions would be to offer robes for couples massages and find a larger space to do them in. We were in a small room and the staff had a cramped space to moved around us. I would also suggest offering larger waters. We received two Dixie cups worth of water over the span of almost three hours. It was pricey, but again, the service was awesome.

Its philosophy and approach seemed similar to where I go when in Asheville. So I booked my appointment and typed in the day I could go and was assigned to Lukas. I was emailed directions and a code to enter the building a few days prior then also texted the same information that morning. I was also given parking suggestions. When I entered the building there was a note the elevator was out of service but also a number to call to ride the manual elevator. I really enjoyed the elevator ride in the historic building. I learned it is usually for staff and nicknamed Lulu. Shine On is easy to find when getting off the elevator and check in. I was then led to a massage room around the corner that was larger than I expected. The massage included hot stones; hot towels; aromatherapy and cupping. I declined the cupping but took the rest. The massage focused on my injuries and provided much needed relief. It was very relaxing and it seemed that Lukas knew just what spots needed that extra attention. I will be stopping here or at the other location the next time I am in town for another appointment with Lukas.
