I had a terrible experience with a plumber who claimed to know how to reglaze a tub. Turns out he didn't. Called Omar and asked if he'd be willing to work behind a botched job. He said he is usually doesn't but he'd see what he could do. He showed up with Paris and I immediately knew things would be perfect. They had the right equipment and they were equally appalled at the work before. They spent over an hour stripping the paint off and smoothing things out. Please note, I don't know if this applies to all tub glazing or just this company. My tubs looked good at first (maybe like many of these reviews). There was a brown ring around each, I think where the new glaze meets the old tub, but I learned to ignore that. However, the tubs need consistent care, with a very specific type of cleaning supplies, to stay basically white. If you don't use your tub for bathing, if it's a guest or vacation bath, or if you don't care, this service may be a good value. If you use your tub for regular bathing & want a white tub with little effort, this isn't for you. Yes, Omar is a nice guy. I think of him every day when I'm trying to clean my tub. read more

We have been living with a very 1970s yellow bathtub in our otherwise modern-looking guest bathroom for far too long. When we originally did our bathroom renovation we were advised against replacing the cast iron tub and told to just get a white tub liner instead. However, the price for a tub liner is CRAZY. Like, $5000 crazy. I guess they are priced that way because it is very costly for the installer if/when the tub liner fails and needs to be redone under warranty. So, after kicking the can down the road for a while, we finally decided to go for a tub glazing instead. I inquired with a few different companies and, pricewise, most were the same, or close enough. However, I appreciated Omar's quick communication and his courteous response to my questions, so we picked him for the job. About two weeks later he came to our house and quickly got to work. We removed miscellaneous items from the bathroom (like towels and such) and he covered up everything that remained. He also brought all of the appropriate work and safety equipment for the job, including a hurricane fan to safely vent fumes out a nearby window. Tub glazing is a serious and potentially dangerous undertaking, so it's definitely worth hiring a professional to do it right! The whole job took about 3 hours. Omar was pleasant and friendly to work with throughout the process, and furthermore did a commendable job keeping my home and bathroom clean and tidy. It took nearly 48 hours for the "new paint" smell to dissipate, but we now have a nice, white tub that fits in much better with our bathroom aesthetic. Of course, longevity is the question on everyone's mind, but since we rarely if ever use that tub (we use our master bathroom instead) I expect it to last for a long time. For now the tub looks pristine and it is no longer the sore yellow thumb in our home. read more

The whole reason I chose A Touch Glazing was because of the positive reviews on Yelp--Omar did NOT disappoint! He was as good as the many other positive reviews said and maybe more so...if that's possible. I highly recommend him. In my case Omar re-glazed a tub which I'd had done 6-7 yrs ago by a business that has since folded. (A year or so ago a plumber dropped some tools on the floor of the tub and it gashed the finish, which is why I called Omar). When Omar first came over to check out the job he praised the earlier job and said he would make the tub look as good as new. He did exactly that. In addition we had another bathroom that had "dated" green wall and shower tiles and he glazed those bathroom tiles to white as well--also a great job. What took Omar to an even higher level is that the green bathroom also had green 4" square floor tiles which Omar said would not hold up to re-glazing due to foot traffic. So, he recommended someone to install new tile. Then, he worked with the other worker in a totally professional manner to coordinate everything so that they both could get their work done and finish the job on schedule and on budget.
