Did you know? if you want close to factory finished white cabinets, you can get the same look without having to replace. We recently completed an overhaul of the kitchen cabinets changing them from cherry brown to benjamin moore dove white. We also added trim to the top to elevate the look and feel. We love the outcome of them and they feel like brand new cabinets. Although the brown wasn't bad, the white really lightens the space and is an easy way to update the kitchen without having to replace all of the cabinets. The UV finish is great, making them really nice to touch. I've had quotes from painters for half the price, but the quality appeared very poor (e.g., rough to touch, chip easily) The project took 5 days total and Tom and team were great to work with. I previously gave a negative review because my parents put a down payment on cabinet refinishing in November and would call to figure out what was going on with their cabinet doors, but would take a while to get a hold of them. Was told the cabinet doors had to go back because they were damaged and didn't hear from them again so we all figured that they had been ripped off. After some months again and finally contacting them, they were told that the cabinets had been put on hold because there was a different finish or something like that and eventually the cabinet doors came in and in July they were installed. they actually did an excellent job and my parents are very pleased. I only wish there had been a little bit more communication and follow up on their doors so it probably wouldn't have taken quite so long and my parents wouldn't have worried that they were being scammed. read more

Very bad experience. Its more than 2weeks not able to finish my kitchen job. They started new job without complete my one first. They asked me to cabinet with hidden hinge but they messed up totally. some cabinet door are cracked. Huge gaps between doors, damaged inside drawers. I asked for white color, they put water based without gloss color. In general cabinet should Oil based colored. Overall , it seems they don't have experience to handle this type of job. Not professional without completing my job , start working on another job. Still waiting. NOT RECOMMENDED. You can hire any local person for cabinet color, nothing special color or prime from Nhance. I hired Nhance about 8 months ago to refinish my kitchen cabinets. I waited this long to write a review because I wanted to see how the paint would hold up over time. First, I want to say that, the crew did an excellent job when on site. They were neat, efficient, and cleaned up after themselves. The final product was excellent. The cabinets still look as good as the day they were finished. Any spills clean up quickly and without damage to the finish. I have had other painters finish other cabinets before, but never with the smooth excellent finished product as Nhance's were. I had 20+ year old IKEA birch cabinets/drawers which I loved but some were pretty weathered. The entire IKEA system was discontinued so no replacements. Cabinets and drawers themselves were fine and it seemed silly to landfill them. We stumbled upon N-Hance and they told us they could refinish the cabinets and restore their luster. We took a chance and are pleased with the results. They came in and took the drawer fronts and doors to their factory in Des Plaines where they were washed and refinished. We also elected to have the wood that was attached done. This involved taking everything out of drawers and cabinets so an opportunity for a good clean. Wed/Thurs was spent taping up the kitchen to protect it while the factory process was brought to our house. (That was fine, didn't smell or create any mess.) Friday the attached wood was done and the doors and drawer fronts re-installed. The cabinets look clean and the color is richer. I am really glad I didn't have to replace everything or even have to paint them. If you have wood you love but it needs an update is a recommended option. Much cheaper than new cabinetry. My only suggestion is, make sure the crew has you look at the work when it's completed before they leave. N-Hance was very good about sending a carpenter to reset a couple of the doors and drawers that were a bit off after I had noticed them later that day. The carpenter also went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. read more

I looked at my island for several years and commented often that I wanted the cabinets to be darker. Since the cabinets were not that old and in excellent condition I decided to have them painted. N-Hanse did a great job from start to finish. Ryan did a quick virtual estimate and got back to me with a quote within a day. I was able to quickly schedule the job and Jake, the technician, got to my place exactly when he said he would. The first day he removed drawer fronts and cabinet doors and put down paper to protect the surrounding areas from paint. He was back with the finished doors and ready to paint the cabinet boxes in 2 days. They look great. I will definitely recommend them to anyone who asks. So, why only 4 stars? I had to call the office several times to set up the estimate. I felt like maybe they didn't need my business. Also there was residue left from the tape that held down the paper protecting my floor. Incredibly disappointing. Was initially quoted roughly 4500.00 over the phone but told I needed an "in home" estimate regardless. So we booked an appointment. First available was weeks away. So after waiting over half a month for an "in home" estimate & being called the day prior to the estimate that someone would call to verify when they were an hour away... all is well so far. Next day (day of estimate) we get a call from one of the owners who says: she can't come because of an injury that happened a while back. That nobody can come, but she can easily give us a quote via cellphone because she does so many. Then without seeing any photos yet, she says because it's Maple the "stain" will look like "paint" not stain & will run us a minimum of 5500.00 Last but not least & an irritated but rational potential customer (myself) is told "fine, Il take 3 Advil & come give you an estimate in person".
