She was very accommodating which was great and a huge relief but our last-minute reservation came with additional fees. We were told to bring her food and bowls, bed etc as well as her medical records to prove she was up to date on her vaccinations. Her Facebook page states there is a discount for military families but when I asked about it my question was ignored. I arrived at 5pm to drop off my dog as we had arranged and was not greeted by anyone- I was standing in the front yard of a house trying to find a phone number to call. Sylvia promised to share pictures of my dog during the visit and she did post pictures of my dog once during the 4 days she was at her house and it looked like everything was going fine. Upon picking up my dog today, her bed was covered with urine and smelled terrible (it was 100% clean when I dropped it off). I contacted Sylvia who stated "Yes, one of the other fur babies may have marked his territory on it but unfortunately we do not have a big enough machine to wash it for you. Usually we do wash all bedding cause many families understand the marking of another pet and we never had an issue before cause of it. Since we are a no cage environment, that will happen from time to time. What I can do is offer you a special discount on a future stay if interested. " While I appreciate her response, I would have rather just not brought my dog's beloved bed to have it ruined. Overall I'm grateful that my dog was well-cared for at the last minute but I won't be booking with this service again. For the price that we paid I expected more.

I have a very special little dog who…read moreneeds a lot of training and attention to help overcome her behavioral challenges and they not only understood what to do immediately, we've been making steady progress since we first met everyone. The convenient Wheaton location of the facility is great for daycare and they also allow for half-day daycare too. Very flexible scheduling. When I pick my dog up, I can tell that she's received personalized attention from the staff and that she has been well cared for. Often she's been able to work one-on-one with a staff member for nearly all of her half-day session. We also attend the group classes which are incredibly unique and let my dog build up practice interacting with other dogs in a way that reinforce new, good behaviors. My neighbors are thrilled with the progress almost as much as I am - my dog no longer automatically barks at everyone outside now and is able to make new friends. The in home training we did originally was incredibly valuable to get us started on the right foot. We need to do that again very soon! Is it the least expensive daycare and/or training in the area? No. But it is ABSOLUTELY worth it. When I leave my dog in the care of The Canine's Voice I know that she's going to be safe, loved, and will learn a few things while she's there. We had never used a kennel before, and were a little apprehensive due to our lack of experience. However, my daughter was very familiar with Sundance and highly recommended it. So, we decided to give it a try. I reached out and got a quick response. After confirming the dates I was looking for, they were clear in their communication with rates, what was needed (up to date Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella vaccines) and what was available (food, walks, playtime and medical administering). Dogs have their own "runs" with indoor and outdoor spaces and comforts from home are welcome (your own food, treats and toys). Morning and late afternoon hours are available for drop offs, which is very convenient. We added 3 walks a day and 3 playtime sessions. The outdoor time really helped our tripod acclimate to her new surroundings, even though she was a bit timid at first. The staff was very understanding of our initial concerns, and very reassuring. They took good care of her, making sure to keep an eye out and give us up dates. If you've never used a kennel before, Sundance is a great place to start. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, well kept grounds and immaculate kennels. I'm happy we found a kennel we can trust!
