Just so people are aware, there used to be another Waco area fencing company called A-Z Gate & Fence LLC. That one is no longer in operation. The number they list online, 254-855-9080 was assigned to some random person when the business closed. These guys, A-Z Fence Co., are alive and kicking. I spoke to someone who kept calling that other number and they were upset because they thought they were being blown off. Not so, the number just belongs to someone else now. 2014. Company located off Hwy 150 between Wimberley, Driftwood & Kyle, Texas. Never in a million did we expect such NON professional service. We were NEVER the customer, we were victims. What we asked for was re-written to what THEY wanted. They sent unsupervised workers that didn't come equipped with simple supplies, i.e. : had to use our ladder, not enough ties, etc. Workers don't know how to use the tools in the truck. They don't measure anything, just cut and nail; no screws. The gates we asked for were hand made with a few pieces of aluminum and a torch; leftovers from the fence, and spray painted silver just in the places they torched together. Any wood was "eyeballed" and cut with a saw you cut tree limbs!!!!!! Really? The "first" set of posts they cemented into the ground were only buried in 8" deep (8' posts) should have been 18" deep to hold a stretch wire fence. No supervisor. Blk iron fence was to be curved around a sidewalk-they threw the panel on the ground to bend it and then proceeded to jump on it to continue to bend it. Total nightmare for over 2 months! Gave excuse after excuse why they couldn't come to work on it. Did not clean up mess-I personally picked up approx 60 cigarette butts off the ground after completed, not to mention all the nails. At one point one of the workers asked for COLDwater and a "napkin" at lunch time. Never had skiddo can delivered... Please heed what is written here-it is for real. They have a racket here that should be stopped! Shut them down! Thousands of $$$$ are being charged for this kind of service and the results are sickening. I hired this Company to put up a fence for me. I thought I was hiring a professional company. From day one I had concerns. The workers were making mistakes that even untrained eyes could see. They took long to complete the tacky job. I called numerous times to get them to correct their wrongs, to no avail. When they were done I had extra holes in my freshly placed sods, broken woods and seemingly old wood placed to fence, and asymmetrical locks. It was just horrible. read more

This man is not ethical in how he pays his employees.. 5 days of jackhammering work of digging holes for fence posts.. The owner - Kenny refuses to let his employees "finish" any work and pulls them off of jobs right before they are complete so that he can have cheap labor "finish" the job and then tells the workers who worked for days that they did not "finish" the job and therefore would not be paid.. I should have wrote this review a year ago but I was so distraught after what they took from me (I am a widow) that I ended up fighting for my life for the next year with severe heart problems...the job I paid for is still undone and I am having to try to finish it with help from friends and neighbors who are disgusted that these guys did this to us. I can not handle the stress of dealing with these guys, (Kenny, Tom, Carrey), I pray that someone can take them down. By the way, the 5 star review from diane below...that is their cousin that helps in the office. Run don't walk...this place is criminal. Borrowed tools to do work and then took them, tried to tell me I had to pay more if I want them to finish the job, ...in fact showed up with another contract they wanted me to sign, they didn't honor the signed contract, work they eventually did had to be redone by another company more out of pocket expense, work was left undone and left unsafe. This company ripped my husband off for six weeks worth of money they owed him! He is a skilled professional welder of 30 years and needed an interim job. They paid him pennies on the dollar on what they should have. Futhermore their CHECK BOUNCED ha what a joke and a mess. Simply put, this company lacks integrity. From the day I signed the contract, I was told that the fence and gate would be installed at the start date and take about 1-2 weeks to complete. Although they did begin approximately around the start date, I am still waiting 6 weeks later with only a small portion of the project complete. This company was more expensive than their competitors, but I went with them because I was sold on their supposed higher quality. Deadlines, in my world, mean something. Reliability means something. I have been told (communication initiated by myself) for the last 3 weeks that the project would be completed "this week." Integrity has been compromised here, and I just want this project finished. I have additional fencing needs, but I will never use AZ fence company again. read more

I have real mixed feelings about the company. Synopsis: I had them install 162 feet of fence. They did a pretty good job. They used good materials. BUT, They installed a fence post on top of the sewer line running to the house. The business's communication was poor. They did not tell me when a fence would be stained. They just sent a worker when it was convenient for them. The quote was competitive, but they demanded 100% cash payment upfront. They would have worked with a credit card at a 5% up-charge. The fence was 162 feet long with 6 foot by 6 inch by 1 inch western red cedar pickets. Without going into a diatribe, the process was not all that consumer friendly. read more

My wife and I just purchased a home in Lakeway and were in need of a fence to contain our dogs. Our consideration criteria was predicated upon the following: * We needed ornamental iron (per the city code) * We required quality materials * Proper installation was critical * Bid accuracy was crucial * Competitive pricing was a factor * Timeline was tight We accepted bids from five companies and narrowed our focus to a couple. One of those companies (and the subject of this review) was A-Z Fence. John Molinari was our sales representative from A-Z and was very on the ball and responsive throughout the entire process. As a final condition (and to make the decision) we asked both companies to include removal of an existing marble picnic table and some large rocks. We also asked that any damage to sprinklers, etc. would be repaired at the expense of A-Z and got that included in the contract as well. We chose A-Z, paid the deposit and scheduled the work, and hoped for the best. That is exactly what we got, "the best." The crew of two arrived and consulted with me briefly (Jose and another gentleman) regarding gate placement, fence line, etc. John (the salesman) was in constant contact with both the crew and me as the job progressed. The company went above and beyond to complete the job with minimal landscape disruption, etc. Jose and his partner set the posts in a day, returned the next day to hang the panels and came back an additional time to remove some debris and move some rocks. The fence looks fantastic, was installed on time (finished early--quite an accomplishment due to recent wet weather) AND there were no surprises regarding the invoice at the end. It's too soon to comment on the durability--but should there ever be an issue I am certain A-Z will make it right (and I will update the review accordingly). To summarize--we had a great experience with A-Z and couldn't be happier. The price was competitive, the bid accurate, the crew professional and the result fantastic. I was reluctant to choose this company because there were few reviews--I am glad I did. If you are looking for fencing, give John a shot and request Jose and his crew for installation. read more

After contacting several fence companies, I accepted the lowest bid--A - Z Fence--because I was impressed with John Molinari, the sales agent. He struck me as reasonable and responsive. His crew showed up when he said they would, were very polite, and did the work, finishing three days later as promised in the contract. John quoted the finished price upfront--no "extra cost if we run into rock" nonsense (Hey, this is Central Texas: Of course there will be rock!)--and that is what I paid. 02/02/2014 Updated review I would NOT recommend A-Z Fencing in Kyle, Texas to my worst enemy! It took them 4 months to finish our fence if you can call it finished NOT! We had to call them many many times with problems. When we explained to them that the fence was not closing all the way and it lost power to even close Kenny was very quick to put the blame on my husband and I for pressing the wrong button! Unbelievable!! They would come out 2-3 days after our calls and sometimes a week would go by and no call, no sign of them at all. We would leave messages and our call was not returned. we would call again and once again they said that we must have dialed the wrong number!! For Pete's sake we left messages on their cell phones, good grief. When they first installed the solar panel they installed it facing EAST. When my husband told Kenny it was installed wrong and needed to face SOUTH...Kenny said oh sorry I wasn't there when they installed it!!! KENNY LIED TO MY HUSBAND..because I was home when they installed that solar panel and KENNY WAS HERE THE WHOLE DAY! You wanna know how they fixed the panel so it would point south?? They took the solar panel and BENT it and twisted the heck out of the steel bar to face South!!! Unbelievable!!! The fence still was not closing so My husband would call Kenny. my husband tried to tell them that the problem was that the batteries they put in were too small. Again Kenny would say , they use that size of batteries in all the fences they build. To this day they have not come out to install bigger batteries!! We have the fence plugged into an extension cord! Then they slopped cement on the ground under the gate! It's a mess out there, broken cement and the fence is rusting where they bent the solar panel. I would not recommend going with this company. They over-promise and under-deliver. We had a fence come down in a storm and, as dog owners, had an urgent need to get that fence up asap. We communicated that to the sales rep, Kerry, who gave us a start date of eight days out. That, and the price, is why we went with them, and paid for half the job upfront. But after not hearing from them for two weeks, we started calling. Finally, after several calls and 2 1/2 weeks, they sent someone out who planted some posts in the ground--then left! Several more days went by and after another phone call, they sent a crew out who finally replaced the downed fence. They did a reasonably good job. But the work order had four more items on it that that were left undone. So again, we had to chase after them with phone calls. Someone came out and completed three out of the four remaining items three weeks later. But they never came through with the staining of the fence, and we had to go find someone else to do that part. They did deduct it off of the bill, but this is just not a way to do business! Too frustrating. read more

Too bad there are no negative stars!! The salesman Frank is the only positive in this company. I called and was told a salesperson would get right back to me. Frank called immediately, and set an appointment for the same day. I was sold on the estimate and proposal. Called Frank back to sign up. He came back immediately, and was very professional. He explained the 7-10 day start date for my fence and I was pleased with that. Skip forward 20 days, no one had shown up and I called frank. He apologized and said he would look into it. Then the owner Kenny called. What a p.o.s. this guy was. He had every excuse in the book of why they hadn't been out yet but said he would get me started by the next day. A week after that and many dodged phone calls later from Kenny, I finally had enough. I called Frank who had been very apologetic to ths point and told him I did nit want to proceed with their company. I left a huge deposit and was pissed that I was not treated fairly and lied to. I strongly urge you look into other options as this mom and pop - good ole boy store is a humungous JOKE!! I got my money back after lots of phone calls and drove up myself to avoid any run around.
