I called Anthony after reading all his reviews and found him to be the most straight forward person I have ever contacted about firewood in all my years of purchasing wood. He told me exactly what his prices were and they matched his add on Craigslist. He explained to me what exactly he would deliver and he followed up after my order for 2 face cords of oak was placed. I received an email with an invoice. He did not tell me about the tax? I contacted him regarding the additional tax and he had stated the tax is something we all pay when purchasing from a vendor that legally runs a business and pays taxes. He sent me a copy of his lisencing to deliver firewood and haul mulch. He also sent a copy of his liability insurance, work comp coverage for his staff and a copy of his DBA. He delivered on time and has been a pleasure to deal with. I received about a wheelbarrow of more wood than he promised. He had a very nice truck and trailer. His helper was a non English speaking man wearing a company shirt for the business. I asked Anthony about his bad review from Jesus C. and he didn't say much except that the review has hurt his business and the man was not honest. I believe Anthony and decided to write my first review ever, in fifty years. I believe Anthony is a man that bases his values on right and wrong and he is a very nice man. I would recommend him for firewood. 2 face cords is what I ordered. It was a row of wood stacked 4 feet high and just over 16 feet long. I got more than I purchased and he said it is never less but could be more! Thank you Anthony for the delivery and my husband and myself believe you are a very hard working man. I haven't worked for a better boss than Anthony. He gave me a chance and helped me get where I am today. Both Anthony and his other business associates were always providing me instruction about safety, communication and efficiency. I still work for A Zankich Services on jobs that require a strong crew. The pay is better than most companies. But to give back is more rewarding than anything. I would help Anthony at any scale of pay, just to be a part of his family business, customers and every day life. It is exciting and I learn how to be a better landscaper every time I show up. I just purchased a brand new truck for the first time. I give a lot of credit to A. Zankich Services for my learning and work ethic. They do things for the workers and clients all the time. My wife and I had extremely (!) overgrown bushes, trees, shrubs, & plants in the front of the house, on the sides and in the back. Couldn't use the deck because everything back there was so overgrown. I called Anthony & he came over (at the time he said he would) looked it all over, gave us some advice on how certain plants should be cut and emailed us a quote that evening. Included was his certification and proof of insurance. In a day or two we called him back & set a date & time. He and his crew showed up (on time!) & got to work right away. He estimated 4hrs & they were completely done - including every leaf & branch cleaned up & in his trailer to haul away - in 3.5hrs. This is hilarious as I am not the owner or do I even work there anymore. I was never in charge of payment my HUSBAND and I were volunteering for the rescue. The owner is the one who hired you and talked to you about payments and I left the rescue because she refused to pay for working 24/7 for 3 yrs and I had 4 adults working full time and she refused to pay us more than $200 a month so get your facts straight.
