The employee raised his voice to my father in front of other customers and staff and continued to berate him even after he had apologized multiple times. What could have been resolved with a simple explanation instead became a public confrontation. My father is a 76-year-old disabled veteran, and the continued hostility was upsetting enough that he began experiencing symptoms related to PTSD and felt he needed to leave the store. We left immediately and will not return. My father made an honest mistake, acknowledged it immediately, and apologized. He did not deserve to be treated with disrespect.
