My bf got called back to work a few hours in, and we called the front desk lady to tell her and she was sympathetic. Sad we lost out on $75, but it was a great place to set our stuff down while we explored briefly. I joked with him that it seemed like I was the hourly lady of the night since we were only in the room for an hour once we got back.

Tom and Connie were great hosts and more than willing to have a conversation and fill us in about the area. Also nice enough to let you be on your own. Cottage appears to be a converted garage but once you walk inside you will be pleasantly surprised. Main part of cabin has a bathroom with shower and toilet, a very nice raised kitchen with all the appliances you might be used to and a small dining area that sits right next to the bed in this room. Gas fireplace, sofa, book shelf and small closet are here also. This part of the cottage is a little too crowded especially if there are more than two of you. Off of the dining area is a very large addition that has two beds, a couple of chairs and a flat screen TV with satellite. This room is done nicely in white pine panel but could use some comfy chairs. There is also a washer and dryer in this room hidden in a closet.All of this sits on 30 or 40 acres of woods and manicured lawn. Tom told us that there was a creek and a tree house about a quarter mile back in the woods but that some one was renting the tree house back there so we did not go back. We did see a deer right outside our back room on Wednesday morning. You have the option of getting breakfast here and Tom and Connie delivered it to our room at 9 am. Nice touch. For the $95 we paid this was a deal. Would definitely consider coming back.

We were definitely pleasantly surprised when we walked in to the "cottage house" a nice kitchen, large living area and a gas fireplace that was greatly appreciated since the second week of June the temp had dropped to 52. Tom made an amazing breakfast in the morning and him and Connie delivered right to our cottage. We will definitely be staying there again when we need to escape.

The service was excellent, and the staff there were attentive and welcoming. While the food was just average, the great service made for an enjoyable meal. Unfortunately, our experience at checkout was very different. Due to unexpected circumstances, we needed to leave one day early. Before speaking with the front desk, I reviewed the hotel's reservation policy and understood that an early departure fee could apply, which we were prepared to pay. However, the hotel manager did not take the time to listen to our request or review the reservation policy with us. Instead, she seemed focused on her phone and came across as unapproachable and uninterested in helping. We weren't expecting the fee to be waived--we simply hoped for a conversation and a willingness to look into our options. The front-line staff provided excellent customer service throughout our stay, but the interaction with the manager did not reflect that same level of professionalism or hospitality. With more attentive management, this would have been a much better overall experience.

There are lots of choices here. You can stay in an rv or trailer all amenities (hookups) There are places for tents/ if that's not for you- they have newer log cabins different sizes. Very reasonable rates. As for Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day it's always booked. You can bring your nice dogs and cats golf carts-wood for a cozy fire. It is right on Lake Huron- swimming, plus a couple of playgrounds. It always seems to be very respectful there, with the laid-back attitude. The owners and managers are not uptight about all the rules. There's a little general store in there that serves really good ice cream. There's a couple of great towns with wonderful food right I in the area-!!

I spent three nights in the hotel (which was very nice) in a room with a deck overlooking the golf course--so did enjoy the game vicariously. I ate at two of the three restaurants and attended a wedding and reception. Food was excellent at both restaurants and at the reception. At Emilio's Prime I enjoyed a wonderful beet/field green/goat cheese salad and a very tasty filet mignon Oscar. The crab appeared to have been sautéed instead of just boiled which added another dimension of flavor. The wine list was quite extensive and offered wines at a variety of price levels. They served the sorbet with champagne which I'd never experienced before. I took my yummy lemon meringue pie back to my room. I also ate twice at The Tin Cup where I had a chicken sandwich with a nice rosemary mayo and a Wagyu burger--both were excellent. The buffet at the reception was also very tasty as well as piping hot, nicely presented and never empty. Most impressive throughout my stay was the outstanding service--from the front desk staff to the organizers, servers and bartenders at the restaurants, wedding and reception. Staff were very friendly, accommodating and professional. The bartenders who served me lunch also served drinks at the reception and were delightful young women (their names escape me). Heather in The Tin Cup was very nice, friendly and provided more excellent service. Bonus--while having dinner at Emilio's, I met the man (Michael McMath) who painted the murals throughout the facility. I'm visiting from out of state but if I have the occasion to return to the area will plan to stay and/or eat here again.

Disappointed I can't afford to pay these astronomical prices for basically a decent public course that takes a long time to play and greens and tee boxes that are slightly above average. I'm sure they will keep getting the business because it's the only course in the area, but pricing out the regulars is a bummer.

The bathroom was stocked with communal toiletries, and the kitchen jad a variety of condiments and spices to use. She has some clear instructions on a printed sheet which were helpful, things were clearly marked for ease of navigation, there were a few books, magazines, and board games. Alice should update the photos because she also added a small table with chairs and an extendable leaf for dining. The decor was cute, and the bed and couch were so comfy. I honestly cant wait to stay again and I'm generally more of a hotel person instead of Airbnb.
