A1 Hauling & Rolloffs has been great to work with. I have made 3 changes to my original request and the folks at A1 have accommodated each request. The delivery driver placed the rolloff right where I need it and protected my asphalt with heavy duty boards under the dumpster. The dumpster was clean and the rear door makes loading easy. My only issue has been a rude dog walker tossing in poop bags! The cost is higher than a Bagster, but the rolloff holds more and is more convenient for my need. read more

I have now been waiting six days for this business to come and pick up a residential dumpster that was ready over a week ago. Repeated calls to A1 gives me the same excuse "we'll pick up the next time a driver is in the area." Translation: we'll pick it up when we get around to it. Meanwhile I'm still having to maneuver around in to get in and out of my garage. I'm preparing a bill for daily storage of their dumpster. $50 a day sounds about right. We are so disappointed in the service we received and we can't recommend this company. Our bill started at $736.96 and went up to $1678.07, which was blamed on the dump. They charged my card while we were discussing the bill and they had ME call the dump for an explanation - not smart on their part, it's when I found out they up-charged me $60 per item. Called to inquire, Meghan stated the dumpster was overweight and incorrectly charged me so they went back in to charge me more. I was told multiple times over the phone that the 15 yard dumpster I was renting was quoted with 4 tons. Which is why I went with A1 over competitors. I was then charged (without prior warning) an over-weight charge of almost $200. My dumpster was 3.8 tons. I emailed the representative and he informed me that 15 yard dumpsters only come with 2 tons. Which is almost double the price of their competition (I called 5-6 other local companies before going with A1). I asked why I would book them for more money if I wasn't told I'd be getting 4 tons. I was ignored. I then emailed them back again wanting any sort of response, and was ignored again. I inquired about the cost of a 30 yard dumpster and what we were going to put in it. After calling around we went with A-1. We received a 40 yard dumpster and were charged for it when we ordered a 30 yard. After they picked it up I received a phone call that we were going to be charged an additional $25 for each mattress that we threw in the dumpster. I was never told about the additional charge upfront when we talked about what I was using it for. Total rip off!! This is my first dumpster rental but I would not recommend them. This company is horrible and will never ever use them again. I initially called on a Wednesday and said I would like a Dumpster for Friday the lady stated Friday is full but I can have one dropped off Thursday and picked up on Friday. I stated that would be great since we have other projects going on did not want a Dumpster sitting all weekend. Well that was the end of my good service they didn't pick up Friday that following Monday 05/11/2020 I called and asked will it picked up she stated they were busy and that it could be sitting until Wednesday. I ordered the dumpster for a Monday and when it did not arrive (without any notice) I had to call and it was delivered on Tuesday, Not great but ok. I then filled it sent a message through their web site the following Monday morning that it was ready to be picked up and asked that they email me or call me that they got the message. No reply. I call Monday afternoon and get OK, your on the pick up list. Wednesday and large dumpster still in my driveway. I call and they yep, will be picking it up. Thursday, still a dumpster. I leave a message. Friday I call again and am asked if I want to speak to a driver. No, I want you to take the dumpster. It has now been a week since the rental was supposed to be over and I still have a dumpster blocking my driveway and because of this I have had to work around it. So we are now beyond a few days window for pickup mentioned on their FAQ. I am not sure they are ever going to pick it up. So I give them 1 star for this. Would rate lower if I could. We needed a roll off for our roofing project and ended up with A1 because they were the only company who could get me the dumpster delivered on the needed day. I'm giving 2 stars because they did deliver on time. However I was a nervous wreck because the driver only had a couple of tiny boards instead of long ones and I was afraid of my concrete driveway getting wrecked. He was careful tho with he dumpster and at one point when it rolled off the board he fixed it. However, they lose the rest of the stars because of lousy customer service. Every time I called, their guy answered with the most disinterested tone of voice and never returned my calls or bothered finding out information to give me. But they ran my card Friday right after I ordered it. It is now 7 weeks later, and they still have not reimbursed my $315.00 to me. I will NOT be working with this company again. If I could, I would give them negative stars. I called over the weekend, and scheduled a dumpster delivery for yard waste. They said one would arrive either Monday or Tuesday, but despite MULTIPLE phone calls to the company, they never called me back and never told me when the dumpster would arrive. After calling again this afternoon (Tuesday), someone finally told me that they had mistakenly gotten the wrong credit card number and that my dumpster would not be arriving today. I have NO idea why they weren't able to tell me until today that they had the wrong credit card, but it's obviously delayed my project that I specifically scheduled for these days off. We were very clear when we ordered that we wanted the dumpster dropped off one day and picked up the next. They dropped off the dumpster with no issues. However, the dumpster was not picked up the next day. We called and asked and they said they'd move it to their priority list. Still not picked up the next day. STILL NOT PICKED UP. We are still waiting for the dumpster to be picked up and the project can't move forward until they pick up. When we call to talk with them they first stated that their contract states that there needs to be flexibility with their pick up. We were never shown a contract and no one mentioned that when we said we needed it picked up the next day. We were told we were moved to the priority list, but there seriously must not be a priority list because it's still sitting there. read more

When I called to inquire about the over charge I was yelled at and told I should know about the additional charge. Then I was threatened when I said I was going to dispute the charge with my credit card company. He said he would report me to the state for refusing to pay tax. Delivered and picked up as scheduled. However, apparently there are weight limits that you can't exceed or else you are charged extra. My dumpster was barely 3/4 full and did not contain anything that was of unusual weight: a few boards, a few old windows, and a lot of light household waste. I was charged over $17 extra for being overweight. The customer service person noted that the cost was "only" $17 more (so it shouldn't be a big deal). I don't care how much more it cost me; I feel that I did not receive the dumpster service for the price that was agreed upon and will likely not be using this company in the future. Also worth mentioning are their tight restrictions on exactly what is allowed in the dumpster (otherwise there is a charge for each violation). I wish there was an option for zero stars. Driver backed into my house and drove away... The owner did nothing to fix the situation. If you want your dumpster picked up by a certain day make sure to call 2-3 weeks ahead of time. You're going to have to call everyday until someone finally will show up randomly and take it. The OWNER told me to get my lawyer involved for his mistakes. Monkeys could run a better business ! One time they randomly showed up and I had a vehicle parked behind the dumpster (7-8 days after my initial call). The driver was a huge dick head and threatened to charge me more for his "wait". Prior to renting the roll-off, I made numerous emails to customer service. They were always very quick to respond and courteous. The roll-off was delivered on the day I was told and picked up within the companies window of 1-3 days. They had the best price for the roll-off and it was really easy to order! A-1 was fantastic. The whole experience was completely opposite from what previous reviewers described. I called their phone number and was greeted by a super customer service person. She helped be arrange a Rolloff and even gave me a discount. The next day a 15 cu ft dumpster was delivered. The driver was extremely professional. He even put boards down to protect my driveway. The pick up date arrived and they showed up like clockwork and picked up my dumpster. Leaving my driveway un-scared and my house Ohhh Sooo much cleaner.
