Needed my generator worked on - wouldn't start. Spoke to Matt at the Pace/Milton shop. Even with the shop incredibly busy, he listened, offered to help, and - because I am older and it is very heavy - helped me get it to the shop on his own time. The work is done, the generator is like new, the cost was amazingly reasonable, and I am a very happy customer. A1, and Matt have all the business I can send their way forever! Did I also say that the business is also very clean, neat, and also is a Stihl Dealer? (I also have a Stihl chainsaw that I dearly love). Been coming to this place for almost 10 years but wont spend another cent with them. Spend your money elsewhere. They broke a bolt off in my machine while trying to fix an issue a few years back. Machine is completely functional but i dont have a punch and didnt want to invest in a repair that their store caused. I decided to bring it with me today due to some errands I had to run on the north side of town and the Mechanic came from the back room to come out in a condescending tone about having them fix the issue they created. After a back and forth pissing match another employee intervened and started yelling at me about how i was wrong. The length of time shouldnt matter when they simply took my machine back to the back, broke a bolt, handed it back to me as if nothing happened and then when finally confronted after saying theyd take care of it, they treated me as if I was trying to get over on them. There's video of it so I hope they post it so you can see for yourselves. Theyre slimy over there so find you a good ol mom n pops shop instead of these clowns. read more

Had I been informed that the cost of repair was just $25 less than that of a brand new one, I would have opted out of the repair. The chainsaw works fine. It is old however. my rating is -0. there are no words to describe how unhappy I am with A1 Small engine repair. Dropped off my riding mower, they said it would be 3 to 4 weeks, 6 weeks later it had not even been looked at . I picked it up, got home realized the battery was dead, it was a new battery and I still had the receipt. carried the battery with receipt back to the store I bought it from and they informed me it's not their battery. My only conclusion is someone took my new battery out and put an old battery in my mower. Called to speak to a manager, he was out and hadn't returned our call. Will never go back there! read more

Skip this place , very rude worker older guy grey hair with low intelligence caused me to leave and not buy a $800 chainsaw. I had no questions at all but then to only have to listen to the criticism of my choice of a Stihl saw and other ignorant babble while his over weight body was playing on the computer behind the counter. I have many years in rebuilding Stihl saws and professional climbing and rigging tree removal expertise. These people should not assume everyone is a helpless idiot and this salesman had such low knowledge of tree work and chainsaws they should keep him away from customers. A1 should change its name to counter clown commandos. read more

Just bought a new Scag Tiger Cat 2 with a Kawasaki engine at their grand opening a couple of weeks ago from the new store in Pace, Fl. I am very happy with Scott's recommendation and the mower I purchased. They sale several different brands in various prices and service all those items in their shop unlike the larger chain stores that send them out. I have been buying lawn equipment, generators, and chain saws from their Cantonment, Fl. store for 30 years. Every time I drop something off for maintenance, it runs like new when I pick it up. Don't bring your equipment here. They won't bother giving you an estimate, even when they say they will, instead they just fix it and charge you whatever. Might as well drop off a blank check with your equipment. I was debating between fixing my stihl trimmer or replacing it, but they made that decision for me. Apparently, the guy that "helped" me was the boss's kid. read more
