Over this period of time they have installed our 1st residential CCTV system all of our smart TV'S, HiFi systems, entire home security system which gives us and local authorities notifications of intruders, smoke, Fire, and Carbon Monoxide detection. They have done some electrical work of different types and they have a magnificent reputation for whole house generator installations. One of the best things about patronizing this company is their honesty and trustworthiness! I have on more than one occasion had to leave while they are working with no reservations of anything improper taking place at our home. I feel as comfortable with them being at my home as I do any member of our family. We just upgraded our CCTV system with a new NVR and 19 brand new cameras and license plate readers. Marshall worked long hours engineering exactly what we needed and just finished installation of the system. We could not be happier with Marshall, Steve, and Jacob's work product. The team works together like family. They are also Christian people and you won't hear any profanities or unjustified talk from them. The photos I just took and posted from one of our monitors are taken at 9:30 PM. It's pitch dark outside and this is what we see on the monitors. Outstanding Equipment. You can't believe how well they look in the daylight. A request this winter for routine furnace check up couldn't be scheduled until four weeks later. At that time also asked for an estimate for furnace replacement for which a tech was available the same day. Tech promised to send us a quote that night - the quote never arrived despite multiple requests. The tech who came out for the routine check up verified our observation that the control panel of the humidifier was not working and promised to send us a quote for replacement. Guess what - quote never arrived. We paid $205 + credit card fees for the visit but never received a statement of work or even a receipt. On the plus side the techs come out at the scheduled time, seem knowledgeable, and behave professionally. Too bad they don't have time to send out promised quotes!

Instead, they recognized that the issues were probably on the supply side and suggested I contact my power provider. My power provider realized that the issue was theirs. It has been temporarily fixed as a second crew will need to come out to fix it properly. I had up to 8 people working on this issue for about 8 hours. Since this is a power company issue, it is going to cost me nothing. This says a lot about Valley Electric. They could have easily made a few bucks off of me but decided to do the right thing instead and provided excellent customer service.

Got my light fixture/ceiling fan fixed today, which was totally unresponsive to the light switch,…read moreby David at Valley Electric of Harrisonburg, who was thorough, prompt, personable, extremely knowledgeable and professional. He took apart both it and the light switch in his quest to find out what was wrong, tested every wire, the neutral, and the sockets to see if they had power, and replaced some small plastic items that needed replacing. When the fan and lights were working again, he was still not satisfied, because there was a small rattling noise, so he unscrewed the top of it to feel around, removed a piece of paper and did something else, tightened the screws, and I'm hearing just the slight hum of the fan blades as they whirl around. He will be the one I call the next time I need an electrician.

Seemed like it was going to cost $125 either way). Three no-shows, no courtesy call. I texted to ask if he was coming and got a "Oh yeah, can't make it" response, no apology. Of course he didn't show up or call the next day either. So I'm done with these guys. Don't waste your time with them.
