In the process of moving and needed to shred months of paper build up. When I found this place on Yelp I was stoked. It was close by, reasonably priced, and I could watch them shred my documents (you never know these days). While the hours of operation are a little difficult to work around (10am - 4pm & no weekends) I decided to give it a try. Better than trying to shred all that junk mail with my dinky at home shredder. I showed up at the facility yesterday about 10-15 minutes before closing thinking, based on prior Yelp reviews, that it wouldn't be a problem. WRONG! The gentleman there told me that they shut off the machines around 3:45pm in order to clean them and that I could either leave my stuff with him to shred the next day or I could return the next morning at 10am when they opened. The whole purpose of me choosing this shredding facility over others was so that I could watch my items being shredded so leaving them there wasn't even an option in my mind. I decided to come back the following day as early as I could get there and I left feeling mislead by previous Yelp reviews. Went back to the shop this afternoon. When I got there the same gentleman from the previous day was inside already working on a waiting customer's order and he had a second customer waiting in the wings. He came out and told me that I could either wait for him to finish or come back in 20-30 minutes. I opted to wait. Due to some confusion/miscommunication he took my order prior to another waiting customer's order and this other customer was just not having that. This customer suddenly got a little saucy with him and I immediately felt bad for the poor guy. He took my bags of papers, got me shredded and out of there in about 10 minutes. All in all, not bad, and for the record someone did come by while I was there to drop off papers to shred so my not wanting to leave my stuff there is purely my own paranoia. I had the pleasure of meeting a very nice gentleman named Bill, who was very helpful in helping me dispose some files that had been lingering in my closet for far too long. The guy working at this shop was super nice, my four boxes were shredded in minutes, and the place was fairly easy to find. I never tried calling, but I did send an email to get a quote and they responded the same day. If you need something shredded, go there, and they will shred it. Perfect. read more

Highly recommend - super accommodating and friendly. I was confused by the operating hours because depending on where you look online, they are either 6:30-2:30 or 9:00-5:00 (it's really 6:30-2:30). So when I showed up at 3:00 (after thinking they were closed when I drove by at 6:30), the guy who was there still took time to take my papers and photos since I was fine with leaving them and not needing to watch them be shredded. He didn't have to do that - and saved me another trip on another day. I will be back! read more

This place is amazing!! I had about 5 boxes of years of papers that needed to be shredded and she finished in less than 10 minutes!! A huge weight is off my shoulders! And it only cost me $30!!! Easy! So easy and for me, $10 a banker's box was totally worth it to be free of the junk that was weighing me down physically and emotionally! Nice guy, too. He has carts to make moving the boxes easier and he gave me a few nicer used boxes to bring home, too. Terrific! Don't buy a shredder. This is so much easier and faster. Just save a 1 ft x 1 ft box, fill it and drop it off for $5. No mess, no noise and they are nice. They do businesses all around plus take care of the little people like you and me. Also they do computers, hard drives etc. read more

This was, without a doubt, the best experience I've ever had doing anything that I've put off. After missing it the first time--it's at the end of a driveway and not well-marked--I arrived at A-1 with three boxes full of documents and discs, some of which had been in storage for over a decade. $15 and 15 minutes later I was out of there; it was very easy. These guys are the best. I literally rolled up during business hours with a trunk full of personal/business boxes to shred and a pocket full of cash. Need that. They charged me $5.00 a box and shredded everything fast and efficiently while I watched from a video screen. They returned my boxes (they asked first), then gave me a receipt and I was out of there pronto. HIGHLY recommend.
