I love these place. The gentleman that repairs all the shoes is the sweetest and must talented person. I have taken three pairs of louboutins to him to get the protective red bottoms installed. He has does amazing job every time. He replaced the zipper on my Tom booties and kept the same color zipper. He even sewed on a tassel to match the new one. He is talented and caring. I took two pairs of shoes to them last week & was told to BE SURE to pick them up 6/1 because they're moving. He said he's be starting the move on 6/2. I went to get them 6/1 & they were already moved out! Their phone isn't working & I have no idea where they moved to. I HOPE they'll contact me via yelp since I've had no phone calls, or communication from them of any kind. It took me 3 months to find those shoes. I'm left with neither & needed one pair this week. So disappointed in this business, I brought my riding boots in over a month ago with a tear in the leather. I was not sure if they could even be fixed, but they assured me that they could " do something" So, I left both my boots. Excelled service! I will always go to them for any shoe restoration or repair needs. I went into their shop on Friday to ask if they had any suggestions for how I should clean my sons little leather moccasins. They said that they could shampoo them for me for an amazing price. I could turn it down. I just picked them up today and I am SO happy with the results! They look perfect and good as new. I met three different employees and all of them were so nice and friendly. **This place is under new ownership** I've been a customer of the previous owners and they did great work and have super customer service. Business has surely went south here. Went over to get a pair of dress shoe heels replaced. To be fair they fixed the heel, but the very next day the entire sole on the front end peeled wide open and I didn't even get a chance to wear them. I took them back and started explaining my situation to the young girl there probably about 13 years old, she then calls a younger kid over a young boy about 10 and I explain my case to him (this is getting redundant) , then he walks into the back and calls an older short looking guy and I explain my situation to him. He tells me he's not responsible and these kind of things happen to that kind of shoe (needles to say I've never had this happen to my other shoes EVER!). He proceeds to pull his order slip out and said it'll cost $9 to fix them. I said no, I'm not paying for something you created. So the guy turns his back on me and walks towards the back (spineless). ULTIMATELY - I would look for other options than this place. I will not be going back, this place is a freaken circus now. read more

This place is horrible! My husband had the worst customer service here. We dropped off 3 pairs of shoes for repair on a Monday & were told that they would be ready on Saturday. He showed up to get them that Saturday but they were not ready. They told him to come back the following Monday. So on Monday he stopped in and only one pair of shoes were ready and the others would be ready on Saturday. My husband was upset with this & told them that this was not acceptable and that he would not bring his shoes here again. The woman behind the counter said to him, "Good. We're the only shoe repair shop in Mesa. So go ahead." What kind of a store owner speaks to their customer's like that? These people are simply rude & clearly don't practice good customer service. They fixed a few pieces of luggage. Did a great job at a fair price in a timely manner. One of the pieces, they even had to hand-stitch. We weren't even sure if it was fixable, but they did a great job with it. They looked at another piece of luggage & talked us out of fixing - said it would be cheaper to replace. Also took care of yet another piece by lubing the wheels instead of replacing - for free. That's what I call customer service. Do NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!If I could give this place zero stars I would. I brought in my daughters soft cello case, and the man at the desk told me it would be no problem it was a simple zipper fixed. I came back a week and a half later and she told me it was not ready because I showed up at 4:30 instead of five and also the price they quoted me was incorrect and that it would also be seven dollars more. No big deal so I decided to wait after waiting for an additional half an hour the owner tells me that there is nothing they can do for the cello case because it is foreign-made and I am out of luck. read more

Absolute worst customer service! They simply do not care! They told me they would repair a zipper and stitch the inside of my bag and it would be finished the following week on Thursday. The person actually went in the back with my bag and described what needed to be done to the person that actually does the repairs, and he said he could do it. I go to pick it up a week later and first they can't find it, even with the claim ticket. Then they find it after I described what it looks like. Nothing has been repaired! He just tells me he can't do it and hands it back to me! No phone call, no sorry you wasted your time driving 45 minutes each direction, even though we said we could fix it! I am providing 2 stars and hesitant at that. I dropped my luggage bag off for a zipper repair. I was told it was going to be 30 days, I wasn't super impressed, but not in a hurry . My promised pick up date was for 3/16/2018, but I went to the store a day later 3/17/2018 and my bag was not done and it wasn't even at the store, the seamstress had taken it to her home. Long story short my bag was ready for pick up on 3/21/2018. The zipper was repaired and it looks good, but I am hesitant about using this company again. Oh, and I was asked to pay UP FRONT before the items was repaired, but I am glad to finally have my bag now. MAKE SURE YOU KEEP YOUR RECEIPT IN CASE THEY TRY AND CHARGE YOU AGAIN. read more

I dropped off two pairs of shoes a few months back. When I went to pick them up at the date they said they would be ready, only one pair was finished. Okay, I was fine with that. I kept my ticket in my wallet. Unfortunately, I did not have the chance to return to pick them up, and forgot about them. When I found the ticket in my wallet, I went back today to pick them up. Apparently my "purple ticket" was an old ticket and although the young gentleman was polite, the young lady said we probably got rid of them, as the ticket says they are not responsible after 30 days.. I asked them if they call people as a courtesy and reminder before they dispose of them. She said they do if they have the phone number (Yes, they had my phone number). I said never got a call. Then she said in a sarcastic tone" Then you should have called us". They had a book of old tickets, but did not have a record of my ticket. Okay, so you dispose of the shoes after 30 days but the attitude of the young lady-in effect blaming ME for not calling-was very unprofessional. read more

What a nightmare!!! A2Z Boot Shoe & Luggage should be shut down. Totally unprofessional. Workmanship is horrible. Costumer Service is non-existent. My experience was totally aggravating. Brought them one pair of boots and a purse. When I went to pick them up, after a week, boots were ruined and purse still wasn't ready. After two trips there, finally got the purse. Workmanship left much to be desired. After three trips, picked up boots because they couldn't fix what they ruined. No communication. Signs posted to protect them from responsibility, obviously because they've had so many complaints. I'm so sorry I didn't read the reviews before I went. This place is a nightmare. If I could, I would give many negative stars. These guys work depending on their mood. In addition if any of the family feels, picks up money from the cash register and no one cares! At the end of the day customers will pay twice. Besides, for the family they cover up everything even if they have to lie (like Mafia or gang members). They distroyed my boots and denied their own work. After making me pay for it in advance. Not only distroyed my Texas hand made boots, but didn't refund my money nor offered to try to fix it (maybe because it cannot be fixed any more)!!! It was supposed to be a simple sole repair. Worst experience ever! Took in my Doc Martens to be repaired back in August. Took them a month to fix them. Fine. I am patient. When I got them back the sole was totally destroyed and the original problem wasn't even fixed. Spent the next 5 months trying to get my money back. It wasn't a lot - $50, but it was the point. I went to the store 5 different times (30 minutes from my house) and everytime the person that could issue a refund was not there. Finally just today I got my money back, but not without repeatedly being told it was only $35, cussed at and my shoes being thrown across the counter at me. All for $50 (which they just gave me cash out of the drawer - why they couldn't do that 5 months ago I have no idea). And my shoes are now beyond repair. Owner is a total jerk. Terrible customer service. I live in Chandler and drove all the way to their shop in the Superstition Mall to drop off a boot on a Monday. They told me it would be ready the following Saturday after 5:00pm. I stopped by on the next Monday (two days after it was supposed to be ready) and was told they need an item for the boot repair that had not come in yet. There was NO PHONE CALL TELLING ME MY BOOT WASNT READY. They now claimed it would be ready the following Thursday. I drove all the way to the Mall again on that Thursday and was again told the need item had not come in....AGAIN NO PHONE CALL!!!!!. When I asked why they didn't have the courtesy to call me they said "they were too busy"! I demanded money back and left. I'll NEVER go to that crappy business again! read more

The granddaughter of the owner must have a tree trunk much less a stick you know where. The most rude person I have met. Apparently they don't care about treating people with respect. I bought a brand new pair of boots and took it to them to have a piece of elastic put at the tops of the boots to allow for my calves. They said it would take a week. 1-1/2 weeks later they called and said they are ready. Not only were they not ready, they had put three cuts on each boot from top to ankle. When I told them that they had ruined my new boots, they said that this is the way they had always done it, and to them the boots looked fine. They destroyed my new boots and they couldn't even apologize. I am heartbroken over my boots and I will never use these butchers again. Be very aware, they are crooks. read more

I had a dressy pair of heels that the little tips on the heels were completely worn off. I called around and every place told me 2 to 3 days to fix. I needed them for work. Then I found A2Z and they told me half an hour. I dropped them off, walked around the mall for a little while and when I returned, they were finished and looked great! He even polished and buffed them so they looked new. Only $10 for the pair. I will definitely use them again. read more

I have been here several times with shoes and boots. It appears to be a family owned business, and is VERY POORLY run. They NEVER have the shoes ready when they say they will have them. You waste lots of time going back and forth, and getting them to redo their work, which is sloppy in my experience and doesn't last very long. Do not show up early, because they won't have them done. For example, I called asking if I could pick mine up, and they said no, but showed up after 5 PM, and they had not even started them. I keep going back thinking things will improve or change. They have no people or customer service skills except maybe the elderly lady, who is rarely there, but the old man and the young man can be very rude. They do not collect money upfront so that if they don't have your shoes ready at the day and time promised and you complain, they just give you your shoes back. This is my frank opinion, if you have a cheap pair of shoes, you can take a chance, but if you have a valuable pair of shoes or boots, do NOT take them here. My wife had a simple pair of Birkenstocks and just needed the buckle fabric stitched. I had to take them back twice because the repair failed both time. On the 3rd time it seems they got it right. They do not match colors very well either and do a repair with different color materials. They are located at a major entrance to a huge mall, otherwise they would have been out of business months ago, so there are lots of new people coming to the mall. Both times I have been there recently, I was the only person there. read more

I dropped off a pair of $250.00 double-stitched welt Justin Boots to be resoled. When they were picked up I immediately noticed they had not removed the original stitching, but added a third stitch across the top. Essentially they had eliminated the chance for any future repairs to be done to this pair of boots. The sole was haphazardly removed and looked terrible. They also had put two different styles of soles on the boots. I called and told him i was dissatisfied and wanted my money back. He told me he would not give me my money back and hung up on me. I called back and explained that i would prefer a different company to repair my shoes, and i would have to pay them to redo what he had incorrectly done. I explained that i thought it would be more beneficial for his business to "make right" what he had done, rather than attempt to keep the profit on his shoddy craftsmanship. He told me he didn't care what i said to anyone about his business and that he would do nothing for me. He then hung up again. Being a cowboy, i spend lots of money on good boots and then have them repaired for many years afterwards. These boots have been ruined by this man. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. I know its out of the way, but Mitchells Boot and Shoe in Holbrook AZ will take great care of you. Mr. Mitchell has been in the business for many years and would rather take a loss of profit than send a unhappy customer out of the shop. read more
