Absolutely unprofessional. Ruined my red bottoms by punching a few extra holes for sizing unaligned and ripped through the leather. I would never recommend this place to anyone I liked. it is horrible. the lady that works there and I think she also does the sewing is extremely rude. one skirt I took in to have shorten is now so short I will not be able to wear it. the sales tag was still on it showing I paid $80 for the skirt. she didn't do as I asked for the second skirt I brought in and didn't care what I wanted. the third skirt I brought in I ended up bringing back home because she didn't know how to hem it because it was tiered. she yelled at me when I dropped the garments off because I asked her to repeat something to me because she was talking tru a plastic screen and was hard to understand. too many places that do alterations to put up with poor business practices. when I picked up the two skirts today she put them on the counter and left the area until I walked out the door. unbelievably rude. read more

I was a little concerned about this shop when I read some of the previous reviews. However, my experience was a good one so I wanted to pass that along to anyone who might be unsure. The front counter person was friendly and efficient. I was requesting a simple shoe repair. She said that it would be completed later in the week which I felt was reasonable. I was in town for a wedding and was hoping to have my "in good condition" shoes shined just to make sure my outfit was tiptop. They quoted $14 cash only for the service and I had to pay upfront and leave my shoes for 24 hours. When I picked them up they looked the exact same except had some black smudge marks on parts. Would not recommend this business to anyone. Poor customer service and arogant. Business name "Best Shoe Repair & Alterations" surely incorrect based on my experience. Dropped my work boots off last week for resole and repairs to seaming/stitches of my work boots which I went over with the person/lady at that time. They did perform the resole however, didn't do any of the repairs to seaming/stitches I had pointed and didn't change the lacing which needed replacing. Charge was $88.00, which seemed reasonalbe at the the time but, she wanted full payment which I questioned and she said half is acceptable and I paid...never ever had to do that before for services not rendered. Customer service was truly apparent when boot laces weren't replaced enlight of the charge of $88.00. I will never utilize this business again and I did have another pair of work boots that I was also put in for resole/repairs...not now, OH WELL! read more

Went in today to have a pair of boots resoled And the lady behind the counter tried to tell me that my leather bottom, cowboy boots were made of rubber. When I showed her the areas where the existing leather could still be seen, these boots are heavily worn, she continued to try to tell me that the bottoms were rubber. Apparently they can't help me with that. Came to the shop because the place I usually go had a small fire and is closed temporarily. Was hoping to have these boots to take with me on my trip back to Iowa.definitely won't use this place in the future. I'll just wait until my regular shoe repair opens back up. read more

Found this shoe repair store to add additional holes to my leather belt. The lady upfront was able to punch in 3 holes to my belt right away for $8. The store offers alterations at a great price too. Will be back. read more

This place is truly a hidden gem. My super picky husband has been so happy with the alteration work for his clothes and wouldn't take them anywhere else. They also did a great job repairing my favorite shoes. Even though the place is not close from my place, it is totally worth the driving for quality alteration and shoe repair. My husband dropped off two pairs of boots. Cowboy boots to have new soles put on and his work boots to be cleaned. Reinforced toe is completely caved in on the work boots. The cowboy boot soles are great, but he polished them...they're not meant to be polished. $290 boots are now brown instead of the original white with blue stitching!! I brought 3 pairs of shoes here on the recommendation of a co-worker. I am so glad I did. All 3 pairs were heels that needed to be re-tabbed. I dropped them off and a week later they were ready for pickup. Not only were they were re-tabbed but polished up and looking almost new. One pair are 8 years old that you would never know were that old! Shoes that would have been relegated to the trash heap including my favorite black Guess strappy sandals now have a new lease on life. Cost is only $10 a pair and worth every penny! Took 2 pairs of my husbands shoes in for soles and heels. They look like new. Will definitely be back.

The tip of the rubber soles of my shoes needed to be glued down since it was separating from bottom. I was quoted $35 to do this for two pairs of shoes. SUCH A RIP OFF considering it was the tiniest dab of glue for two pairs of shoes. I went to another shoe repair store. It cost $5 and the guy did it right there on the spot for me. Ridiculous. Horrible service! I took my husbands shoes in to repair and I was horrified by the service. First, they wanted me to pay for the entire bill before they provided the service which I find to be ridiculous! I asked why and she kept saying "Store Policy". I'm not a cheap person and have no problem spending money but when I'm asked to pay for a service that hasn't been provided yet coupled with her being rude then I have a problem with that.
