Anyone who has ever experienced a medical emergency knows time is of the essence, so when my once mobile mom came home from the hospital (and couldn't walk), we were scared and helpless. I called Elite Home Medical Supply on a Saturday morning (of Memorial Day weekend) to inquire about Hoyer Lifts. Mark answered and told me he could deliver one Tuesday. After telling him about our situation, he made some adjustments, and delivered the lift with his son, Jake, that same afternoon. To add to that, they both stayed to give us a tutorial while we practiced using the lift with my sister-in-law. After that, my sister-in-law went to the store to purchase a commode and bedside table. At the store she was accommodated by rockstar employee, Jasmine. I think the fact that Google revealed to me Elite Home Medical Supply, which is 35 minutes from my home, was divine intervention. When that car came to the end of its life recently, we needed to get a new car and install hand controls quickly so my son could get to and from work independently again. Jerry answered the call and stepped up. He gave instructions to the mechanic as to how to remove the hand controls from the old car, and even offered to make a house call if needed. We then delivered the car and hand controls, and Jerry got them installed same day. Good guy. Good heart. Highly recommended!

He had already tried that and it was worse than our couch recliner. She suggested that renting a powerlift chair might be helpful. It was on the pricier side, but the only other idea she had. Well, we thought about over lunch and just decided to just purchase a chair. Terri showed us the options and let us just try out the chairs on our own time. We never felt rushed. It was obviously more than we originally thought of doing, but we are sure we won't regret it in the future. The only thing that didn't make us happy, and why this isn't four stars, was the price tag. We picked the chair we liked best & thought the price was what was on the tag. There were options below the big price, like heat & massage, which were things that could be added to the base. Oh, but the material that the chair used was on that list (which we didn't realize because it was not a common name). It was not in the large number on the price tag and added $900 to the price. We didn't know this until we were checking out. We do not blame Terri for this, but the company that thought this was a good idea. The tag should have had the final price, before taxes & delivery not the base price if you could buy it off of the floor like we did.

Prices have gone up, selection has gotten worse, the store has been rearranged numerous times, and the number of employees available to help is much less. Today at least, lines at the registers weren't as absurdly long as usual. However, for no apparent reason my membership card has stopped working. I went to the gas pumps and waited in line (there are almost always lines 3+ cars long), only for the pump to wrongly claim that my membership is inactive. The attendant at the pumps ignored my attempts to get her attention, so I went inside to the customer service desk. They claimed there was nothing wrong with my membership, but I had them call the attendant outside and ask her to help me. Well, I went back outside and the attendant tried to ignore me again, but I was eventually able to get her attention after the pump once again claimed my membership was inactive. I was only able to pump gas by using a different credit card after the attendant activated the pump with her own card. Finally, I went inside and picked up my groceries. I prefer not to use the self-checkout, but they had only two registers with actual cashiers so it was that or wait another 20 minutes. I decided to use self-checkout, and... you guessed it, it claimed my membership was inactive (remember, I had spoken to the customer service desk and they confirmed that this was NOT the case). I had to call ANOTHER employee over, who got it to accept my membership somehow, and then I was able to finally make my purchases and leave. They really need to cut prices, replace their obviously nonfunctional computer systems, and get more employees out there and able to help people.
