I had rented a heavy duty scooter through a third party website and was linked with Angelcare. I had emailed back and forth with Rhoda about a drop off time and she was quick to get back to me. She was super understanding of making sure I would be around during both and was understanding when I asked for a more narrowed down time for pickup because of work. The scooter was amazing and the gentleman who dropped it off explained how to break it down to fit into my small SUV. absolute shady business and definitely do NOT recommend renting from angelcare. our party was in need of a wheelchair so we called angelcare on a monday to rent for tuesday. the guy over the phone said there is a 2 day minimum so i would have to be charged for 2 days ($60) even though we only needed the wheelchair for 1 day. whatever. the wheelchair was dropped off the following day (tuesday) in the morning at approx 10 am with a $20 delivery fee. we decided we wanted to extend the rental until THURSDAY morning at 10 am, they said they were going to charge us for another day. how does that logic even make sense. i ALREADY paid for 2 days?? uh, no where did it say that their "day" is counted by dates, not from WHEN the wheelchair was dropped off. by 24 hour period definition, we already paid for 2 days, starting tuesday 10am until thursday 10am, makes sense, right? nope, not by angelcare's definition. i was also told i couldn't use the yelp deal over the phone either. they refused to accept the yelp deal. go elsewhere for your healthcare rentals. clearly all the inflated reviews are from family & friends. read more

In September we visited Chicago and my 89 year old husband could not walk fast and steady enough on the busy sidewalks of downtown Chicago. I contacted several places trying to find a wheelchair but received no help since it was in a weekend. I spoke with a CVS pharmacy and she said " try these guys". In less than two hours a wheelchair was delivered to our hotel , very clean, and perfect size.. The delivery guy was great and gave simple and clear explanations how to fold it up if needed to transport in auto. We kept the chair for over 48 hours. When we were ready to leave the hotel we were told to leave it with concierge and they would pick it up. They arrived right as we were leaving so we did not have to be concerned if it was returned properly. All of this great service for about $100.00. I was visiting Chicago and was meeting my elderly godmother for the weekend. I realized she would not be able to walk everywhere we wanted to go and asked the front desk for a wheelchair rental. The responsiveness and service at Angelcare went well beyond my expectations. We needed a folding, lightweight wheelchair for the visit of a disabled friend. Not only was the price affordable but the representative offered to deliver it on a Sunday - personally - so to better accommodate our needs. Unfortunately, on the day prior to delivery, our friend called to tell us she had fallen and broken her arm and would need to cancel her visit entirely. I emailed Angelcare and left a message. I rented an electric scooter from a national company(Scootaround),requesting a three wheeled one,they sent a four wheeled one,which I couldn't handle. They couldn't help me. I called Angel Care and they had the three wheel GoGo Traveler that I needed. I called at 2:00 on Saturday,by 4:00 my scooter arrived. I was very impressed with their prompt service and assistance.
