If you are looking for old fashioned customer service look no further. I bought a new Go Go scooter from the Wheelchair shop in September. The owner Joe is such a nice guy. Right from the start we knew we came to right place. Joe is very knowledgeable and prides himself on customer service. We wanted an upgrade on a battery...he delivered it personally to our house..we wanted a backup charger...he delivered it again in person. The steering component came loose..out he came the next day to tighten it. Then on Thangsgiving day he once again came to the house to investigate a noise the motor was making! Solved the problem on the spot. He's easy to get in contact with, always pleasant and friendly. It's reassuring to know he's going to be there if something comes up. I wish they had more stars. I came to the Wheelchair Shop to rent a mobility scooter for my father. The owner, Joe, was incredible. He showed me different scooters, explained the differences, and helped me choose a scooter that was perfect for my dad. He is a very honest, caring man. He takes his time to explain everything thoroughly. I can't say enough good things about him! There are other places in the neighborhood where you can rent/buy scooters and they are fine. I had recently gotten a new wheelchair in the last few months from this company. They have been great service to me since I bought the wheelchair. This was the only place close to me that was very helpful and willing to research on the type of wheelchair that I needed because its been a very long time since I have had a new wheelchair. I was in the market for a mobility scooter for over a year. I did a lot of research and decided on the Pride Mibility product. I found a locale dealer, Wheelchair Shop, in LaGrange, IL. I spoke with the owner, Joe, who couldn't have been more accommodating. He was on a service call but said to meet him at his shop at a certain time. We were there and so was he. He is so dedicated to his work. I pick out the scooter I was interested but he didn't have the color I wanted. He went to his other store and delivered my new red scooter to my house. Joe came by and was very helpful and took the time to show my mom how to use her new Pride wheelchair. He also fixed her old used electric wheelchair free of charge. Unfortunately the shop we bought the old unit from continued to rip her off by coming out and saying they didn't know what was wrong with the unit. Of course they charged us over $400.00 to come out and accomplished nothing. Joe was able to diagnose the problem within seconds and fixed it for free. I was given a wheelchair and Joe came to my house to put new batteries in it. He even comes in on Sunday so people can get in to see him. Absolutely recommend. The only establishment of the four I called for battery replacement on an old scooter, who advised the batteries should be replaced by someone who knows what they are doing. He made a house call to install however, did one better. He returned again to fix and replace a joystick part at no charge. This gesture is rare in these times. Honest and caring business owner. Fantastic experience. I was in town for a business event and I am one the event planners. We needed to rent a mobility scooter for the week duration for one of our attendees. Found out that next day (Sunday) that we needed two more scooters. Had to leave a message for the owner,Joe, on Sunday evening and by 7am the next day I received a phone call from him letting me know the two scooters had already been dropped off at our event location. We called Joe at the Wheelchair Shop because the seat on my scooter broke. Joe said to come right in so my husband took my scooter in to be fixed. I thought he would have to leave it at Joes shop to be fixed which could be a week or so depending on how much work he has. But that didn't happen because he checked out my scooter right away and fixed the problem immediately.
