Talk about being exposed to broader horizons! In 20 years of driving I've never had to smog my car and I was like a deer in headlights, but thankfully after watching the experience my wife had with AAA Smog Center I knew exactly where to go and they don't disappoint. The old saying goes "do it right and do it well". It's so fitting here because from beginning to end the customer experience here is just top notch in so many ways. I'd gladly double my 5 star rating if I could. It's located in a very tiny strip mall off the ever bustling 15 freeway and it's tucked in the back so it's a bit hard to spot if you didn't know where you were going. At least that is the only worry you'll have and then smooth sailing the remainder of the trip. From start to finish my experience was around 15 minutes tops. I arrived bright and early on a Saturday morning and it looked like business was already booming so I figured at least I could test the testimonials of reviews past to see if they are truly that darn good. Well we'll just say I barely had time to check in Yelp and putz around slightly on my phone before I was already back in my car driving home. Time is of the essence and they certainly cater to that famous phrase. Beyond that what I loved was the staff. They are courteous and professional which is a reassuring feeling in a world that has become the opposite. The awards and accolades they have won are well deserved. It's genuine care that keeps the crowds coming and certainly there is no fake in their dedication to customer service! I can honestly say that the $45 price tag was worth every penny. There are coupons online which it seems I didn't really even need and a $10 discount off the smog check from Yelp so value as you can see is a strong point on top of everything else mentioned above. AAA Smog makes me wish smogging one's car was annual, but then again let's not get too crazy. Haha. read more

This place closes at 5pm. I went in at 4:15pm and there were no cars waiting or being serviced. A young man came out from the rear office and said that the wait would be about 30 minutes. I said it was almost closing time and that there were no cars being serviced. He told me that the person who does the smog checks was eating lunch. I heard a female voice from the rear office say, "I'm eating my lunch. Tell them 30 minutes." He said he could get me in after their tech was done with lunch. I said, NO and left. The place is almost closed. I can see if it was 1pm and you were taking lunch but taking lunch at 4:15pm and then closing at 5:00pm makes no sense. I will go else where. read more

How to get a smog test came to AA smog center fast friendly it was done before I knew it

HORRIBLE experience with them. STAY AWAY!!! Tech placed my 8 month old son in danger! Brought truck in for a test. Told the tech, Oscar, I would stay in the truck with the A/C on as I have my 8 month old son sleeping in the truck and it was 95° outside. Tech was fine with that. Tech performed the inspection, then parked the truck and shut it off. I asked him to leave it running to keep the A/C on. He refused and said I needed to pay first. I went in the office and he stayed in the bay. I went back to the bay and told him I wanted the keys to run the truck if he wasn't going to process payment asap. He refused. I got upset with him and demanded my keys back, at which point he locked himself in the office and called the police, with my son still in the truck. No threats were made to him. There was no reason to go that route. Had to wait for an officer to show up so I could pay and leave. Have been going to this location for years, I probably have more than a dozen inspections with them and never had a problem until this tech. Will NEVER go back or recommend them. Several months ago, I had spent a good part of a year trying to get my older car certified. I had been to a couple other shops that jerked me around for months, even to the point of getting the referee involved, which just set them off to jerk me around some more, so I told them to give me back my paperwork as I would be taking my business elsewhere. I found this shop and even though I was concerned about getting another runaround, I took it there and he was fast and efficient and got it done. Sometimes there are people waiting so during those times it can take a while, but when there are only a couple waiting it's pretty fast. There are some real disturbed business owners and incompetents out there running smog shops, but AA is professional and efficient. I will be taking the rest of my vehicles there from now on. read more

Called AAA Smog Center because I needed o get our Honda Pilot smog check done. Micaela was very professional over the phone, so I cruised on over. It took less than 15 mins from walk in to completion. Very fast, professional, clean, and friendly. Micaela even let us bring our dogs inside to get out of the sun.
