Well, I can only speak to the insurance portion of this place... But I like it. The insurances rates here are really good, and at least one of their underwriters does year-long policies, which is rather convenient. However, they are slow as hell. Do not keep your AAA membership in NC. It's worthless. Yesterday, I called for a tow. My vehicle is in my garage, dead, it's not the battery, it doesn't need a jump, it won't do anything, and it's close to the wall in the garage. Idiot sends a flat bed truck. My driveway is side load. No way can they get this out. However, I had explained that and yet.. Yeah. So, second truck, same type of issue, third guy has a dolly. Okay, here we go. No, he can't either. Please note - no one would listen when I repeatedly explained that THE CAR IS DEAD. I had it on the road, got an error, brought it home, it barely rolled into garage and died. Everything is dead, no lights, no locks, nothing. Guy keeps trying to jump it, blah blah, an hour wasted, finally says he cannot do it and his "dispatcher" will call back. That never happened and it's like my request just "disappeared from the queue". Last night at @9p I scheduled a tow for between 830-1030a. It is now 1035a. I called to make sure they got the right info, etc etc. And here we are. No one cares, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. read more

HORRIBLE experience with this place. I have a 2016 jeep renegade and went in for a coolant tank replacement and I wound up needing my head gasket replaced fine. But they wanted to charge me 3 thousand just to check if there was a leak then 9 thousand to replace it!!!! That is insanity. It's supposed to be between 1200 and 1500. That is absolute theft. I took my car and brought it to jeep and now their replacing it for free. Do not trust these people this isn't the first time they've done this and they will do it again. read more

I am extremely disappointed with their service. I called the toll free number for tow services at 10:19 pm on 7/15/18. After waiting for about 10 mins I chose the callback option and they will keep my place in line. Currently at 8:00am on 7/16/18 I still don't have a callback from AAA. Fortunately where I needed a tow was in a safe location. I am also thankful I had roadside assistance through AT&T and used their service to assist. As a previous reviewer mentioned, don't waste your money if you are using this for roadside assistance. read more

Don't waste your money with AAA Carolinas. They DO NOT have a service network that covers the greater Durham/Morrisville/Raleigh area. I waited on I40 for 1.5 hours without assistance. I was later told my dispatch call hadn't even been sent and received by a driver until 30 minutes after I had made my original call. I have been a customer since 2001 and plan to cancel my service. read more

I have the AAA roadside assistance, and my car would not start when I was leaving work Thursday. I called AAA, and was told they would bring me to the closest service center, since I have the basic membership (only 3 miles of free towing). I verified that this place could handle my car, since it is a Hyundai, and I thought this place only handled GMC, Chevy, and Buick. I was assured they could take my car. After waiting almost two hours, I was taken to this service center. Surprise! They don't take Hyundai, and told me that this was an ongoing problem (AAA bringing cars they couldn't work on). So I call back. They apologized, and I asked for the CLOSEST mechanic that could handle a Hyundai. I told them it did not need to be a dealership, my car is old, I don't need to go to a fancy place. I was told the ONLY place that could take my car was in Goldsboro, a little over 20 miles away. I verified that, and feeling like I had no choice, I bit the bullet, paid the almost hundred dollars, and had my car towed. Well, when I finally got home that night, it turns out, there was a place that could take my car that was on the same street as the place they wrongly sent me to the first time! It would have cost me zero! So, feeling lied to and like I was scammed out of a good chunk of money, I called AAA to complain and see if they could remedy the situation. I was polite. I did not yell, and I reassured the different people I spoke with that I knew it was not their fault specifically, but this was absolutely AAA's mistake. I should never have had to pay this money. I should have been told of this other place. Well, after speaking with three people, the first one told me that she thought they should be able to refund the towing amount since they were at fault. The other two told me that since I had the option to get the car sent somewhere different (the option I was not told about, in fact, I was told I had no option), they could not help me. In fact, the last person I spoke to kept reiterating that I went over my three miles of towing, so I had to pay for that. She was not listening at all. I told her I wouldn't have gone over the three miles if I was told of this closer place. I told her I had been misinformed and made to feel that I had no options. She did not care. So all in all, I was lied to, manipulated into spending almost $100 that was unnecessary, and then told they basically did not care and would not help me. They got their money, right? Why should they try and fix and customer relations? AAA has lost my business and I'm telling everyone I know to stay away from this dishonest company. read more

Tried to book packaged travel with these guys. Friendly and nice but they ended up booking the wrong dates, the correct ones were documented. They apologized but left me hanging with no call, email or anything for 4 days until I had to chase them down. Finally got my 5k credited back but did not use them for the travel due to the issues. read more
