And when I questioned Them as to the additional info they wanted they accused me of being hostile and refused my pickup. I had a great experience with Sal and Stephanie. They were fair in their quote and offered a senior citizen's discount for 50 years and older. That is a highly appreciated perk. Sal had me send his boss pictures of everything that I needed to have hauled. Once I did so, Sal responded within an hour with a quote, and he specifically stated that what he quoted would not change once he was on site. He explained how some of his competitors come with small containers and can't accommodate the needs of their clients and some will change the quote once they are on site. He assured me that his company does not do that. He was early to the job, personable, friendly and fit everything into the truck and trailer even though I couldn't see how it would all fit. Only giving one star since you can't give zero. Set up an appointment on Tuesday, 2/21/17, in the morning. They got over scheduled and asked if it could be moved to Wednesday, 2/22/17, in the morning. I know things happen, so I said that was fine. Come Wednesday morning I get a call that the driver that I had spoken to was in the hospital so they wouldn't be able to make it. Again, I know emergencies come up, they they take first place. I text the driver wishing him well since I know hospitals can suck. Get a call at 7pm on Wednesday night to tell me that they will be there between 7am and 9am the next day, Thursday. Well, come 7:48am on Thursday, 2/23/17, I get a text from the driver that it'll be between 9am and 10am now. I expressed a little concern due to the fact that I places to be at 11:30 that morning, and then the fun starts. It rolls around to 9:58am, not a sole in site, and I get a text from the driver saying he needs me to send him pictures of the stuff to send to his boss so they can come get it. I try calling the driver and the lady that called to tell me they would be there to try and reschedule. Neither of them answer keep sending me to voicemail. Finally come 10:34am the driver answers, and I kindly ask where they were since it was pushing the time I had to leave; he responds telling me they are on their was and I tried to ask how far away they were and he started blabbering something and then hung up the phone. I left my house after that, texted him again at 11:43am to ask if he was calling me back. No response, so come 2:13pm I tried calling him again to see if it was being rescheduled again. His answer was, and I quote, "we decided to not to do the fucking work because you're being a fucking asshole," and hung up the phone. These people, Sal Gambino and Stephanie Farkas, are a joke and I have found that people are actively perusing remediation for what they have done as a company, and I am following suit. Do not use them! Look up their other profile on here that has nothing but negative reviews except fake profiles that they made to try to brag about themselves. I personally went with the North Houston location of Junk King. I texted them at 10:55pm yesterday 2/23/17, the Thursday that this poor company was supposed to come in the morning, and got a response. They scheduled a time frame of 1pm to 2pm today, 2/24/17, showed up in the earlier part of it, beat the AAA price, were extremely professional and courteous, and hauled all the stuff away right then within 30 minutes. Definitely look them up if you're on the north side of town like me. read more

Operations manager sal guided his staff efficiently and did the job at an affordable price they were in and out of here in less than an hour. I see there's multiple entries people have made with slightly different spelling but who knows how that happens, Yelp is evil. Anyhoo, when it comes time to get the heck out of somewhere and time is of the essence, it's hard to say who's going to be available at any of these services that aren't corporate looking. First call was a broken English speaker wanting high dollar for 1/2 a pickup bed of stuff hauled away. Next guy wanted half as much but wasn't for sure on the schedule. Sal responded immediately and followed thru perfectly, at a competitive price. Make sure you have pics or an accurate description ready so you can get a realistic estimate, or Sal can come by to do the estimate. Electronics need to be mentioned, as they can't be dumped just anywhere. The world is full of flakes on both sides, Sal didn't flake, nor did we, so everything went smoothly. If he sounds very to the point, it's required in my view. Very pleased with how it went, I called remotely to arrange a meetup for he and my mom at a storage unit, again a smooth experience, on time, allow a little flexibility if he's dealing with traffic. Called them to come pick up a ginormous pile of tree limbs and branches I had left from half of my tree suddenly falling. The pile took up a quarter of my driveway and since it was at the beginning of the month, I just couldn't wait all month for heavy trash day. Answered quickly and set up an appointment at 8 that evening. The gentleman who answered had me text him all my particulars, along with appointment time and date. That evening, I sat and waited on them, but THEY NEVER SHOWED! I called at 8:15 to find out what the hold up was and got their voice mail system. I left a voice mail. It's been a week and they still haven't returned my call. I called someone else to pick up the load. I cancelled an appointment with another Junk Removal company because I was so impressed with the person I talked to at this place. The other company had a special to haul away 6 cubic yards of junk for $140. When I mentioned this to the person I spoke to on the phone, they told me they could do that amount of junk for between $75 and $95. They guaranteed me they had the best practices and prices in the area. So I scheduled an appointment and I received a text message an hour and a half before my appointment from an unknown number saying that they wouldn't be able to make it because of "operational problems". They said they could come on Tuesday or Wednesday. After deciding to give them another chance after that inconvenience, I called to reschedule and they said they were booked up for the week at that point. When I didn't confirm a new appointment, I got a voicemail a few minutes later saying that they could swing by for a quick estimate that same day all of a sudden. When I returned the call, I spoke with a gentleman (not sure if it was the same one I spoke to originally) and he asked what all I had to pick up. When I told him the same things I'd listed on the first phone call, he quoted me $195! One hundred dollars more than the phone quote I had received a few days earlier. I told them that I was going to contact the company I had my original appointment with as they had the $140 special and they wished me luck with no apologies. Terrible service. Wow! DON'T call them! When I first called and spoke with Sal,he was very nice and quoted me a reasonable price. He told me to text him my info. I was late texting it, and so called him after I sent the text. He was then booked, so I re-scheduled . He texted me to confirm my appt. and then never showed! I called him and texted for 2 days. When we finally did speak, he never acknowledged not showing, and then told me that he wouldn't be able to re-schedule if I wasn't there. He never acknowledged not showing up for our appt! I literally just got off the phone with these guys for an estimate. They told me $275 to remove a few potted plants. I said "Oh really?" I had no idea how much services are, that's why I'm getting a quote. This was my second quote and it was more than double my first one, so I was shocked. Wow, I found these guys on a search engine and called the company before viewing the yelp reviews. I spoke with a gentleman at the company who sounded enthusiastic and personable at first. But as I spoke with him, more, he seemed to get upset that I was trying to get a ballpark or range of what the service would cost, instead telling me they had to see the items in person and the estimate was free. Then he told me they bring out a 30 yard dumpster. When I asked how much it would be if I filled the entire thing he said they can't price like that. He then told me I should call 1-800-get junk and hung up on me. SERIOUSLY??? THEN I checked out Yelp and saw the 1 star reviews. It all makes sense now. I would AVOID this company like the plague! They probably would have kept me waiting for hours and no showed. If they did show, I'm sure the cost would be exorbitant and I would have to call some one else. Had an appointment scheduled last week for this company to come out to our site and remove trash from the building. We told them explicitly several times that they would have to be out there while a representative was on site during a four hour window. They agreed. I was given a fairly high price considering the work that needed to be done, but was told if they saw the work it could be less and if they could not remove certain items it would definitely be less by a few hundred dollars. On the day of the event they not only tried to go out to the site when our representative was going to be leaving after our window, but also that morning they tried to tell an associate we had agreed to the maximum price discussed previously. This is a very unreputable company, and I would suggest using someone else for your trash hauling needs. The owner even hung up on me when I told him I was not happy that they had blown their window and were trying to quote the higher price. DO NOT USE. read more

You will have to be flexible about the time (which can change). They worked so hard and super fast to help me get my mom's house empty, so she could sell it. She was a bit of a hoarder.
