These guys are awesome!! I've come here three or four times now. It is usually because I destroy a tire. Every time they've fixed my car right up and fast too. It's always by the next day and sometimes even the same day. This last time I just needed my tire patched and they did it at no cost, put everything back together within one day. DISHONEST - Find another mechanic. I made a sharp left turn and my brakes went out. AAA said it was the master cylinder and charged me almost $700 to fix it. One week later, I make a sharp left turn and the brakes go out. The guys at AAA stammered and loosely blamed it on the replacement part, but it was clear they ripped me off and they knew it. They fixed the brake line for no charge (for obvious reasons) beyond the initial amount. So, I was overcharged ~$500 for a problem that didn't exist. read more

I tried to start my 2020 Hyundai Tucson, when everything flickered. The vehicle failed to start, so I called AAA's Battery Service. The Tech came out, tested the battery and said it was good. He stated this would most likely be the alternator. Because of this, I had it towed to Columbia Hyundai, where I purchased it, which was $59.00. Columbia Hyundai had to do a diagnostic before anything else, which was $128.00. After their diagnostic was finished, they found it was the battery. They replaced the battery for $259.45. All together, I was out $446.45, because of AAA's misinformation. My wife contacted AAA and was told she or I would receive an email of the reimbursement form page to submit. We never did. I called AAA to find out what was going on and was contacted by "Member Relations" Agent. During this time, I was in the middle of a project for my building and had a hard time concentrating on the call. Long story short: The Member Relations Agent asked me to tell her what happened and I did. She then proceeded to ignore everything I had said, refused to reimburse me for anything, and said she would credit my account to renew for next year. Again, I was working on a project while she fast talked her way through this. I didn't think about what she had done, until I got home and realized I had been taken advantage of. This is AAA, and if anything, they are well known for watching out for people...not taking advantage of them. The misinformation they provided me, cost me $446.45 and they refuse to take responsibility. I was without my vehicle for 3 days and money. This isn't the AAA I had known through all my times I, my family or parents had been members of. I cannot with good conscience recommend AAA to anyone after what happened to me. read more

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! It's cheaper to just call some no-name Acme Tow Company. Don't get me wrong...AAA still has the best drivers I've ever had. They're courteous, considerate of your distress, and eager to please the customer. But the people working AAA Roadside Assistance line are a joke. They left me sitting in a dangerous area for THREE HOURS, and when I called to ask where the driver was (because the app showing where the driver is appeared to be going in circles), I was informed that they LOST MY TOW. They had no record of my call. So even though I had the order number that they gave me so I could track the driver on the app, they somehow dropped my tow order. Therefore, the tow had to be re-issued and I had to wait AGAIN for them to find an available driver. Because they took so long, I couldn't get my car to the shop before they closed. So when I called again to get it to the shop, they charged me $107 dollars (with tax) because I didn't have it towed to the shop when they came to get me the first time. When I filed a complaint, they somehow managed to LOSE MY COMPLAINT TOO. Very convenient! They don't believe in accountability, so don't bother complaining. They've got your money, and they totally don't care. AAA used to be bulletproof! I've been a happy, satisfied member for many years. Then I let my membership lapse for awhile and joined again after the pandemic when my car broke down. Boy, have they changed! Now, they're just riding on a reputation they no longer have. They are completely dishonest, ripping people off for every nickel and dime they can get. And that's doubly sad because the drivers are still top notch. In all the years I've done business with AAA, I haven't gotten a bad driver yet. But the Roadside Assistance people, while polite, are worse than incompetent. However, I don't blame them. They're only doing what they've been told to do. The fault clearly starts at the top, at their corporate headquarters. Good service is a distant memory. It's all about the money now. Post-pandemic, Roadside Assistance has gone down so far that I wish I could give them less than one star. I could've pushed the car home in the time it took them to get to me. read more

When we moved from Tennessee, we needed to transfer our auto club membership. The Tennessee office provided the Cinn. number and I was able to make the transition easily. As members, we now receive the Journeys magazine with info about local events and discount info as well as articles about major vacations. Haven't stopped in yet to get any travel books or info, but I think the downtown location would be closest to me if parking's not an issue. I ran over a piece of metal causing a blowout in my tire putting me on the very small shoulder on the exit ramp coming out of downtown where there are frequent accidents. I told the lady on the phone I didn't feel the safest and also had a second job I needed to get to. Continuing my quest for a map to do a crafting project, I stopped by AAA. Surely, they would have what I need. Downtown AAA looks dark and closed from the exterior, but inside it is a bright, modernly furnished space accented with decor from the history of Cincinnati. The lobby area has a giant map mural of the tri-state painted on the wall. There is also an old 1940's era truck and gas pump in the room. Enter the AAA store around the corner: a help desk is station with several employees who can assist you with your membership services, directions, dispatching tow trucks, and of course, finding maps. There are also racks of things to purchase, such as travel gadgets, USB chargers, tools for the car, and travel guide books. As a member, the clerk helped me select the style of map I was looking for from a large director of map styles. These feature everything from individual regions within a state to a map of the entire U.S. With speedy service, I was in and out in under 10 minutes. read more

I have been communicating with them about 3 months about scratching on a brand new wheel from the tow. I have also made a BBB complaint and their reply shows they did not even read through it, as they act like I haven't called their member relations staff repeatedly and been ignored. Out of town and locked the keys in the trunk of the rental car! The 1-800 number I called was for my state but they were quick to get me to the right dispatch city for AAA. I appreciated the timely return call letting me know the time they would be arriving. The gentleman that showed up, Paul, was very polite, professional, and calm in the situation. Such a great experience with AAA. Chris arrived, asked about me personally and told me to stay in the car for my safety. He went to work immediately, got the tire removed/replaced and asked me to drive up just a little to the nearest gas station, where he double checked the lug nuts with more light and gave me the go ahead to be on my way. On 1/24 I needed roadside assistance due to a serpentine belt failure. A storm that night caused a lot of problems so I waited until the next day to get it towed. After many hours, a tow service arrived. The driver asked me if my car would start. It did so he promptly urinated in the alley then took off....of course my car started but it wouldn't budge! I called his cell back immediately but he wouldn't return of course because he already checked his AAA box. He told me he was 10 miles away when I saw him on a nearby cross street! I've left messages but have heard nothing back from AAA. I'm sure if I called for a new service, I would speak with a human being - as it is, I'm resigned to leave messages that will not be returned. I have to Yelp about AAA and the Roadside assistance we received yesterday from Steve! It was a life saver.... My 80 year old mom had an appointment with an oral surgeon and while the 10 degree temps should have deterred us - she was miserable and my kids actually had school so I didn't want to cancel the appointment. After she had her tooth pulled she reminded me that her freezer was bare. So I ran into Kroger's for her and when I returned - our car wouldn't start! The dispatchers were very busy and while the brand new membership number I gave the girl over the phone didn't pull up my name, she took my information and assured me someone was on their way. She encouraged us to take shelter somewhere in the area to stay warm and told us they'd call before they arrive so we didn't have to worry we'd miss them. I had bought ice cream and while the car didn't feel that cold - it didn't melt! Mom wouldn't leave the vehicle. Maybe she was still numb from the dentist but she walks with a cane and I wasn't going to leave her in the car again. And with sunshine streaming through our windshield, blocking the sub-zero wind chill I figured we'd be fine. We waited for an hour and a half but the conversation was easy since we had a great parking spot at Hyde Park Kroger's. People were bustling about going in and out around us. On any other day, we would have enjoyed ourselves but our feet were starting to get numb and after getting the, "be there in 20 minutes " text from AAA - we attempted to reserve the parking spot directly in front of us for the toe truck. That will be a story for another day but once Travis directed our driver to us and once Steve tested the battery - everything went so smoothly! I will never travel without AAA! They were professional and competent. We needed a new battery and I gladly moved the car to buy it from them. Steve quickly installed it, tested it and showed me the comparison from the old battery to the new. It was easy to see why it had died on us and I paid the extra money to have it done on the spot! With a three year warranty and a bunch of coupons for Bob Summeral I felt happy to have such great road-service. Thank you AAA. Now that I can feel my toes - I will never let my membership expire again. An angel must have told me to invest in a new card and I am putting cards in my kids wallets .... They need the same great service mom and I received yesterday. read more

08/06/2021 i paid $184 to aaa for roadside asistance premier. i was told that there's a 7 day waiting period to use service and if i needed to use the service today an additional $50 would be needed. i then paid the additional $50 only to not be able to use the service that i paid for! the driver told me that it would cost me $40 dollars more to have my vehicle towed to my mechanic shop. i asked for the $50 be refunded and the representative told me that it is non-refundable. non of this was explained to me until after the driver arrived. i feel deceived! no...i feel like aaa stole money from me! the number i dialed was (866) 636-2377 read more

Stay away from Triple A. It's safer to not have roadside assistance than having that with them. Two weeks ago we had a flat tire in WV. We became members and paid for same day service. Total $97. Well, they told us that a car with a mechanic was on the way and it would reach us in 30 minutes. After one hour without the promised service we called them and no one knew nothing about our case. They even failed to find us in their system! We spent 4 hours talking to different representatives and we never got any help from them. They would just hang up the phone. In view of their inefficiency to handle our problem, we just decided to look for help in that little town. Days later I called them to report this situation and to let them know that we wanted to cancel our policy and get a full refund. The gentleman on the phone assured me that the $97 refund was on the way to my bank account. To my surprise, I got a phone call from the Cincinnati Triple A office few days later to let me know that they can only refund $47 because the other $50 are not refundable. Sorry???? We never got any service yet we have to pay? That kind of business is called piracy or theft. In summary, stay away from these liars and pirates. Your life will be easier and safer read more

My son recently totaled his 1999 Jetta. He was purchasing another car and I called to see how much the insurance would be. I was told 1 price that seemed a little high but reasonable, since my son is 23. Well, I add the car, get the cards, and yesterday I got the declaration for adding the car. The bill was $35 a month more than I was quoted! I called an my "agent" is gone until Jan. 7, 2013. This angered me even more because I had asked for a different agent than Ebony Jackson. I didn't like the vague answers she gave me and I felt like her knowledge of the products was not thorough and she didn't have a good customer service rapport nor did she seem to care. So a year ago, I requested a change of agent and was told I wouldn't have to deal with Ms. Jackson ever that anyone could help me. Well, when I called yesterday to find out more about why I was going to be billed $35 more than I was told I would be, everyone kept telling me I have to speak with my agent- Ms. Ebony Jackson- who is not only the world's worst customer service agent, but she's on extended leave until January! We continue to receive notices from AAA that our membership has expired. We do not intend to renew our AAA membership which was purchased as a Christmas gift for me in December 2013 from the Dayton, OH office. We neglected to voice a loud complaint at the time but the membership expiration notices have served to remind us of the poor service we received from AAA. On a cold winter day in February 2014 we traveled in early afternoon to ACE Hardware located on Route 725 in Miamisburg, OH. Upon leaving the place of business we found that our Ford Ranger truck would not start. We called AAA for help since we were approximately 20 miles from home and believed AAA would come to our aid since we had purchased a membership. To make a long story short, the AAA representative who responded to our call said he would be unable to start our truck. This representative left us stranded without so much as an offer to call a cab or offer to arrange a way for us to get home or even to use his mobile phone. To say the least, we are extremely disappointed in the lack of service provided to us. This was the first call we had ever made to AAA for help and we expected more in the way of service from this organization. I am 84 years old and I consider a membership in AAA a waste of our resources when I have to call on family members in time of need. Take heed; Do not waste your money on an AAA membership. I'm not sure which branch came to my rescue yesterday at Mt. Storm park, but they were everything I could have asked for. Showed up within minutes, determined the problem (starter gone bad), and summoned a tow truck, which also showed up quickly. I'm thinking about 20 minutes each. I had read some bad reviews and was expecting the worst, and I remembered many years ago waiting for hours with a friend whose car had broken down and was depressed thinking that would be my fate, too, so I was very happy.
