This place really is a one stop shop for everything related to travel. I was curious to get an insurance quote because the "other guy" had AAA and his insurance company was much easier to deal with and did a much better job going to bat for him. I found out it wasn't only better insurance but it was actually cheaper than what I had been paying. This alone probably would have been enough, but Sheri proceeded to explain all the other benefits. Everyone there seemed courteous and professional, and Sheri truly went above and beyond. I knew that AAA had discounts for hotels etc., but I had no idea just how far it goes. Discounts on just about everything under the sun AND-- they have DMV services! When I went back to State Farm to show them my new declarations and cancel my old policies, I was reminded just how different the two companies were. It really is night and day. Sheri treated me better, she knew more, and she was able to find discounts not only my insurance, but AAA discounts that have saved me money on my regular travel. f I could give this AAA office in Dublin NO STARS I would!!!!!!!!!!!!! Their motto should be: "What can we NOT LIFT A FINGER TO DO DO FOR YOU TODAY". They are lazy, rude and just plain don't give a damn. I called AAA over the phone and the phone rep told me there was no excuse, no excuse for the lack of service we got in this office. We have been members for over 30 years and have used services maybe 3 times. We paid $127. this year alone for AAA and they sit behind the counter and can't even enter your name in their computer to get your member number (verified by the address on your drivers license)!!!! The AAA guy on the phone did this for me!!!!!!!!!! I bought my son a membership a month ago but he hasn't gotten his card yet and just had a temporary card that they would not honor - even though the offer he got in the mail said the temp card would be good for all service until his real one came in the mail. He needed to sell his car and change registration and all they had to do was put his name and address in their computer to bring up his new member number but they wouldn't. But the guy on the phone did it 1-2-3. So many good people are looking for jobs these days - they need to replace the manager here and the representatives and replace them with people who give a damn and aren't lazy butts. read more

Absolute nightmare experience dealing with the extreme callousness and robot like logic of AAA dispatcher. I have had nothing but good experiences with AAA until recently. I have paid for insurance for about 7 years now without a car needing to be towed so they have made alot of money off of me. I have been a plus member for around 15 years. Recently I had to have my van towed out of the mountains and they wouldn't come out until I could be towed privately to a county maintained road even though the roads were paved all the way. This cost me $450 out of pocket. Once I was on the two lane road they came out and got my car. No problems with that leg of the journey except that their 100 mile limit was 18 miles less than my home town mechanic. The tow truck driver wasn't able to go any further than the 100 miles so he dropped us off at a huge empty overflow parking lot at the Dublin Bart station at about 1 am he assured us that if we called AAA they would send a truck out to take us the next 18 miles. The woman on the phone adamantly refused that they don't do that and that you were only allowed one tow per incident. I begged her to help and mentioned I have had paid for AAA for years without incident and that I had no money for a hotel or to pay another tow truck and that we were two women and a teenage girl in an empty parking lot in the middle of the night. She called her manager and they still refused to help. We ended up staying up all night calling everyone we knew for help while gang members cased the parking lot for cars to break into and even drove around us a few times checking us out. Our cell phones were running out of power and no one was around if we needed to call 911. Luckily we didn't get robbed or worse. Eventually a friend came and we had to tow the car with rope on backroads at 4am. I had already spent so much money on getting the car that far and had an OBD reader and knew that it was an easy fix. Having the stress of losing all our possessions and my van that I use for work because it would be towed from the lot was extremely stressful. AAA left us in an extremely dangerous situation, their driver gave us false information and I also know that this wasn't a policy in the past. Peoples lives and safety should come first. Even if it is a policy their manager should have made an exception and I hope they both get fired for lack of judgement. The reason I pay them is so that they are there as a safety net when I have no other options. I don't use them unless I absolutely have to. I have had wonderful experiences with them in the past but either this employee, manager or policy needs to go. Or that policy should be overlooked in dangerous situations. Until that changes my 1 star review stands strong. Go to a different office for your policy and hope like hell you don't have to deal with the lady I got when your'e relying on them to keep you safe. read more

Called AAA today because my car battery died and my car wouldn't start. I have been waiting exactly 2 hours now and I just received a notification that someone should be here soon. I'm not happy that I've been waiting in my car this long and missing hours at work. Really not dissatisfied with this company. They need to get their act together. read more

Went to do my reg for my vehicle. DMV was $105 they charged me $195 and could not account for the extra $90. Could not back it out, could not give a detail of the money they took, could not give any valid reasoning for the extra fee. Made accusations, were very rude, continued a personal phone call while I waiting in line. Just myself. Was very rude, non helpful, no sense of humor, very argumentative and ripped us off of $90. Have filed a complaint with the BBB. Do not go to this location, they are very rude, not helpful and will not tell you what they are charging you for, then they will tell you they cannot fixe the problem they created. Can not make any changes for 3 days, then don't make any changes, come up with different excuses, call you a liar and can't explain how it is the DMV renews the vehicle for $105 and AAA charged $195 with no explaination and tons of excuses. I stopped in here today to use AAA's DMV services and was very pleased. Just walking in the door I was greeted by a friendly receptionist who directed me right to a person that could help me. When I saw that attendant, she was extremely kind and helpful, even explaining each step and helping me to understand the process. The whole visit took me less than fifteen minutes (including waiting in line), but it looked like it was getting busy as I was leaving and could have taken longer. read more

We visited the Dublin AAA office this morning to transfer title to my son's car into his name. Julie Jones was beyond fantastic in facilitating this transfer for us. She helped walk my son through the paperwork as he was a tad nervous about getting something wrong. I have been a AAA customer for more than 30 years. I personally have not had an accident in 50 years of driving. I went to change coverage because I traded in my car. I went in at 8:30 because that's what is says online. That's not what really ticked me off [that they really open at 9:00]. It was the way a 30+ year customer was treated. I understand that buying a newer car will make your premium rise, but I had other changes that made it go down. After all was said and done my premium went up 9 dollars. I asked if we could do better since I was a long term customer with a good driving record. The answer was I'm sorry; there is nothing I can do. I suggested that we drop the 9 dollars and the answer was the same. I think that AAA should utilize that extra 30 mins. between 8:30 and 9:00, training their employees on customer service. They certainly have none. The reason I did not know the hours of operation should be obvious. I don't do a lot of business in the office. I think the 9 dollars a year could have been a great tool for her to use to say to a good customer "since you have been such a good customer, I'm going to drop that charge". I had a dead battery, and AAA sent out Byron from SaveTow to help. He tested the battery, let it charge off the truck for 5 minutes, and tested it again to make sure it was actually dead. He replaced, and I was ready to go in 20 minutes. He was knowledgeable, professional, and courteous (and his boots were shined to perfection!). I HAD AAA Auto insurance for many years. Over the years I filed one minor claim around 1980. This Xmas my car was damaged and I filed a claim to get it repaired. The Claims service was horrendous. The Claims administrator made no attempt to communicate with me and then tried to say that the damage required two claims, one for crash damage and one for vandalism. They tried to double my deductible from $500 to $1000. When I said I would complain to her manager she told me to "knock myself out". after dealing with the claims department I just paid for the damages myself and have dropped AAA insurance. I will never deal with these people again and I hope you will never have to either. read more

So extremely frustrated!! My husband just had hip replacement surgery.. He had the paperwork to get his handicap placard. Dr. told him that the AAA offices handle this and would be easier than DMV.. I went to to San Ramon office and front desk lady was nice and said they do not handle that there. She told me that Dublin and Hayward take care of those.. ok great.. I get the address for Dublin office. Today we came from Walnut Creek to get this taken care of. I walked in a lady approaches me and say can I help you. I told her what I needed to do and she said oh we don't do that!!! No I am one that normally keeps calm but this really set me off. I told the lady that I was referred to her office and she said well we don't do it. I asked why no when I am told that she did and she said they were not trained by DMV. WTH? I had the papers signed all I needed was the placard for heavens sake. 4 days into his surgery I can't take him to DMV Needless to say I wonder why we have AAA other than tow ( which takes 4 hours) read more
