I made an appointment for 4:30. Since I hadn't been seen before, I was 5 minutes early. The office seemed a single business suite and, not wanting to interrupt anyone, I waited until a 1-2 minutes before my appointment to call. When I called, I was asked to wait in a janky suite with a sofa down the hall while they finished their current appointment. Fair enough. I waited there until 4:45. When I called back, I was told there was now a new customer that had materialized and was asked if I would like to make an appointment. I was very excited to find a massage place nearby. However, there is no reason to believe appointments will be honored. I'd like to think this is unusual, but I don't really have a good reason to gamble my time here again.

I started with a 60 min massage, and then changed it to 90 mins so that she could get rid of the tightness in my shoulders/upper back and also have extra time to work on the rest of my body. I will say Ashley can do a relaxing light massage, but she's really good at giving a practical knot-and-tightness-removing one. I went in with discomfort and came out feeling so much better and lighter. A hot stone massage also came with it! I highly recommend giving this place a try and especially having Ashley as your therapist. She's very mindful of the body and knows what she's doing. Anyways, the massage was actually good, my friend and I opted for the 90 minute full body massages which were pretty affordable for the length of time ($110). I actually fell asleep twice which is a good sign lol. The main issues I had were with the noise levels. Instead of it being soothing and quiet, the masseuses kept stopping to answer the phone during the massages (in the room) and were having constant conversations with each other (occasionally laughing). I don't think with all of the interruptions that it was actually a 90 minute massage, probably closer to 75 minutes. I think Zen could benefit from hiring a receptionist. While they apologized for all of the noise when we were leaving, it sounds like from other reviews this is pretty normal. Again, they gave a great massage, but it was a little chaotic in there!

The Quiet room had lemon cucumber infused water, packaged nuts, Milano cookies, and mints. Upon request they give a lavender infused neck wrap. The room was beautiful and had blankets spread around. The room is co-ed. We had a Himalayan stone massage and the Black Sand scrub with Vichy shower. The massage was very relaxing, and the stones felt smooth like hot liquid. The Vichy shower was new to me, it alternates between hot and cold water. It's supposed to help with circulation and detox. If the cold is too much they can switch it to all warm. It was fun.
