Worst movers EVER. Listen to me when I say DO NOT hire AAA Movers. I dealt with a guy by the name of Scott. He was very pleasant and called me several times to make sure I got the quote, if I had questions and eventually he matched our lowest bid from Matt's Moving. In hindsight I wish I had gone with Matt's Moving. I had a couple of friends that recently paid less than 1k to move a 5 bedroom house. I was quotes $1100 from Matt's Moving and Scott from AAA told me they could do it for $1100-$1600. I asked why the $1600, and he said he didn't think it would take that long and that it would be closer to the $1100. All they had to do was pick up my stuff from an inside storage facility. My unit was 10'x25', but I only filled 10'x20'. I moved all of my stuff without breaking anything in 3hrs to this facility back in the summer. My 18 yr old son helped the 3 guys from AAA. He ended up carrying more than half our belongings to the truck while the 3 guys sat on their phones, drank Gatorade and took their sweet ole' time. The moved like sloths. The longer they take the more money they get because you pay by the hour. They wrap ever piece of furniture with plastic and/or furniture pads and tape them up like mummy's. So on the bright side your furniture is well protected, but it is totally overkill. So keep that in mind, they will wrap everything and take their sweet ole time doing it. So I would recommend getting your own furniture pads and wrapping it yourself. one hour of the movers labor would more than pay for your supplies and then some. 4.5 hours later they finally finished loading the truck, but they couldn't get everything, so my son had to pack his car. why...because they bring all of this crap in their truck including a 4'x4'x4' box filled with their supplies...so keep that in mind too. They even left even more of their supplies at storage facility of which I got a nasty call from telling me they were going to charge me for all the stuff they left behind. AAA didn't sweep out my unit, my son did that too while they sat on the truck. Clearly one of the guys never had done this before because he was totally lost. Then the came to my house...nope...they went for lunch. Even though I told them not too. When they finally arrived at my home I only had them bring a few items in the house...about 5 things total and decided to do the rest myself. But they unpacked all of the rest into my garage. But did they do it neatly...nope! They placed furniture and boxes all over, I had to move stuff just to get the furniture out, it was a mess. SO I called AAA and asked what they were going to do about these lazy, worthless movers and very unprofessional workers they sent. They told me they never got a call like this before but from reading the other reviews here it appears this is a common experience. They charged my almost $1600. Then the following day they charged me another $260...I was livid! Worst experience, and the absolutely worse movers. Just so you understand my stuff came from a 2 bedroom 1600sf townhome...so you can see it wasn't even even close to moving a 5 bedroom house...and I moved it out of my townhome and into the facility in 3 hrs. When they finally left they took almost 8hrs...and didn't move hardly anything into my new home. And yes they broke something, and did they clean it up...nope...my son did! They absolutely suck, stay away from AAA movers! Update: SO below is the owners response. Did he address his slow movers, or how long they took, which wasn't part of the initial quote, nor the conversations that I had with the booker, which is that he thought they could do it for $1100. Nor did he address how they broke my stuff and didn't reimburse me for it, or clean it up. Class act is all I can say. Clearly read reviews of this company on legitimate sites. Not their site or their Facebook page where I'm assuming the reviews are fake. But look here, Reddit, and several other review sites...which is other people with similar experiences. WARNING to Twin Cities residents looking to hire a moving company: DO NOT USE AAA Movers for your move!! They fail at all levels of efficiency, transparency, and, above all, integrity. Here's my experience: Day 1 (10/1/25): The move crew showed up on time and got to work right away. Things started out great. After about 1100, I started to see how slowly they were progressing with the move. The entire move was estimated to take about 8 hours. That included packing up our 2-bedroom condo (1491 sq ft) and moving it all over to our new condo (1,000 sq ft) about 20 minutes away. Instead, the crew was painstakingly slow. They took 13 hours to move our things to the new place, didn't leave until midnight, and the worst part is that they DIDN'T EVEN FINISH. The lead driver/mover, Jayvon OQuinn, tried to make up for it by discounting the entire day for us and assuring me they'd come back to finish it at no cost to me. Instead of charging me for the full 13-hour day, Jayvon dropped the price from $4,069.91 down to $2,591.96. After how terrible the experience was, I felt like that was very fair, especially knowing it was within the estimate they gave and that they'd finish the rest of it at no cost. Unfortunately, I took him at his word. He ran my card for the $2,591.96 and left at midnight. But he accidentally (or maybe intentionally?) ran my card for that amount twice. You can clearly see that on the bottom of the invoice. When I called AAA Movers to get it corrected, they refused to refund the extra charge of $2,591.96 and issued a partial refund instead of reversing the duplicate--net effect: I lost any and all "discount" and paid far above what was estimated!! Day 2 (10/3/25): I was told the completion day would be free. Instead, AAA billed an add'l $2,015.04 for the finish job--again contradicting what was promised. Why would I be stupid enough to hire a company that failed so badly just a couple days prior and agree to pay them again to come out and work for me?? Obviously, I took Jayvon's promises and was told by Bobbi Padilla (sales?) that they'd honor that agreement. Management response: After weeks of unanswered calls, I finally reached their sales manager, Evan Voxland, who repeatedly insisted "he didn't say that" about Jayvon saying the finishing move would be free and claimed Bobbi didn't promise to honor it either. Evan's reasoning? "They know they have to go through me to get it approved." My experience with Evan was incredibly dismissive and rude--talking over me, refusing to acknowledge their team's commitments and calling me a liar multiple times. He didn't have any way to explain why the discounted price of $2,591.96 was even on the invoice from the first day. Plus, before the move even began, I was promised a military discount by Bobbi. Do you see any sort of military discount on these invoices?? Jayvon and Evan both claimed we had way more items than what was estimated which is 100% false. I've attached the estimate here which goes over all the furniture items we had and included our small storage unit with about 20 boxes. They claimed we didn't tell them about the storage unit but it's clearly on their OWN estimate. Evan tried telling me that when it comes to counting items, they even want you to count the number of pillows you have when you go over the inventory with them prior to the move. Are you serious?! What kind of moving company has you count all your individual items? We listed all of our furniture items and were fully transparent. The customer shouldn't have to pay extra due to a company not taking proper inventory while providing a quote. Or perhaps they do this on purpose so we choose their lower quote over the other quotes we received from other companies. They'll use any excuse they can to justify how slow they are. My take: This was, in my experience an incredibly inefficient move followed by broken promises and billing that left me paying THOUSANDS over the original estimate. I would never recommend this company. Evan is a sorry excuse for a manager and this company has ZERO integrity. Things went well. The guys were patient with my lack of preparation due to my having to work. I had booked as a senior move and was a little disappointed that the discount was only 5%. The pricing was in line with most other movers. My belongings were treated well, nothing broken or damaged. I would recommend this company to others that are in need of their services. read more

Second part of my review: AAA movers packed us and marked boxes (not clearly) with a black Sharpie. The packers marked my white bedspread with Sharpie and it won't come clean. Ruined it. They moved us into 2 levels. They put furniture on level one that belonged on level 2. We told the movers what pieces needed to go upstairs and they ignored us. DON'T USE THEM! read more

We had a seven mile move and as it was during COVID-19, the estimate was online. Sales rep (Justin Candy) 0 stars. Helpful during the sale but once he got the deposit was nowhere to be found and non responsive when I had to change the move date. Eventually spoke to someone else and got the date changed. Estimated four hours and ended up to be 6... they charge by the hour so it costed 50% more than the estimate Movers (6 movers, 2 trucks) 4 stars- very helpful, all went smooth but they broke a table. No big deal, they will fix and return the next day. That was one week ago. Customer service 0 stars - you just get the runaround. After numerous calls they tell us the mover will call us back in a couple hours. That was a couple days ago. Extremely disappointed. Definitely go somewhere else. I hired AAA movers to move last winter. Two out of three of the movers were stoned, and one of them was HIGH AS A KITE. We're talking bloodshot red eyes and all. All told, they damaged 3 pieces of my furniture, including a piano. I hired AAA movers, because I was looking for a top-rated company to handle my move with professionalism and care. When I raised the issue with their customer service rep, Mariah, my concerns were dismissed. It was only after repeated emails that I got any sort of compensation, as paltry as it was (pennies on the dollar). To add insult to injury, there was no acknowledgement or apology of the fact that their movers were stoned, which more than likely contributed to my furniture being damaged. The worst. Don't use these people!! Recommended to us by the realtors and the song is the same. Sales person was great at singing the tune but was nowhere to be found when it was all over and I wanted to voice my opinion. The story is the same: Bill WAY above what was quoted. We moved 2 miles from a 2 bedroom , 2 bath apartment.They slowed waaaaaay down when they got here. Ruined my area rug , were fighting in the hall of our condo building. The list goes on. There is no reason why what we had should have cost 2600.00 when we moved most of it by ourselves before they even showed up. This is criminal. This industry should be policed. My estimate was $600-$1000 it ended up being $2000 and I moved across the street. I also had my sound bar and stereo stolen. I sent documentation for the items but nothing happened. I thought they would reimburse me, but I guess not. The movers were good but slow. They get paid by the hour. If you have to move and hire this company make sure you are there the whole time. I had to go to the office to get the keys and open up new apartment. Never leave unattended for missing property and to make sure they keep packing and moving at a reasonable pace. read more

They showed up on time, took great care in moving all of our things, and every one of them (a seven man crew) were very polite- and worked EXTREMELY hard all day. As for others who have left reviews, they ended up charging more than double the estimate, all for excess labor charges. * They estimated 2hrs for a 1br apartment move but ended up taking almost SIX HOURS. (There were no extenuating circumstances and the movers at my destination only needed 2hrs 15 mins.) * The 6 hours includes me doing their job for them, running items down myself. * They did such a bad job of packing the truck that I was forced to leave multiple pieces of furniture behind. At hour 4, I had to partially unpack the truck myself so that remaining items could be packed. * They threw heavy weights on top of fragile items and failed to use the furniture pads I provided. I was in such a hurry to move that I didn't even look at reviews. Stupid and careless on my part. I'm lucky it didn't hurt me more than it did. The moving crew--James and Troy--did a really good job getting my stuff safely from place to place. I would give them a five as a moving crew. I would give the company and management a 1. They sent me a confirmation on Friday that my crew would arrive between 12 and 6 on Saturday. Crew arrived at 9 am. We made it work, but I wasn't ready, and it was a hassle for me, and I've received no response at all from the company to my emails, texts and calls about this problem. I had my carpet replaced and needed help moving my belongings and heavy furniture around my townhouse. On a Thursday, two young men from AAA moved most of my furniture into different rooms but had some difficulties with two large pieces of furniture. On the following Monday after my carpet had been replaced, two different men from AAA, Derrick and Joe, were at my house moving all the furniture and belongings into place. Derrick skillfully handled the two large pieces of furniture that were troublesome on Thursday. It was because of his keen perception and attention to detail that made the day a success! He even went above and beyond expectation when I noticed he had fixed a handle on my desk. It's this type of service that makes a good company even better. Thank you so much. read more

The moving crew was really nice, but it took them MUCH longer than it should have, and cost us $2,000 over the estimate (which the sales rep said was a high estimate, and we would likely pay less than the quoted amount). Also, some items were damaged during the move - more than would be expected if using any level of care - and the "Care Team" provided no compensation at all, and even insinuated that the items were damaged before the move. Beware--The Bid Won't Match the Actual Charge --They'll Cost You A Lot of Money! AAA Movers ripped me off by over $500 on their original moving bid. A 5-hour furniture-only move from an 11th floor condo turned into 8.5 hours. An $1,100 bid turned into a $1,600 charge. And, I only moved a 1/2 block away! They showed up at 9:15am instead of their promised 8am, losing 1.25hours of reserved elevator time. As a result, three movers stood still from 12-1:15 pm waiting to get the elevator back from another mover. They wouldn't refund the $250 for this lost time, after several requests. And, they sent a new, untrained employee who needed constant direction and guidance. His lack of productivity cost me an additional $250. Again no refund! Plus, they broke a ceiling fixture, gouged a bed frame, lost a lawn swing bolt, and dented drywall. Incompetent staff. Again, no refund! To top it off, the owner called me and verbally abused me for submitting a negative online review of their service. Unbelievable! Was told I would have 2 trucks and their "A" team of 4 crew to move out by noon. Received 1 truck and 3 crew until 11:40am when their "leader" Nick showed up with another truck. They left a number of items at the old house which my realtor had to drive an hour to retrieve and bring to the new house. Wasn't out of old house till around 3pm. Nick tried charging me twice what I was quoted. Horrible stressful experience. read more

I first used AAA in 2015 and my experience was wonderful and seamless. So it was a no-brainer to call them again when I moved in 2019. My experience in booking the service was great, but everything fell apart on moving day: - One of the three guys just kind of wandered around and I could tell he was frustrating the other guys. Even my 13-year-old was like, "What's up with that guy?" It ended up taking the crew almost 12 hours to complete my move - a straightforward 3-bedroom job, with not a lot of belongings. That meant my invoice was WAY more than the quote. - My TV stand was gouged on the top. - Two back corners of my kid's dresser busted off. - My bedroom bookshelf has two deep gouges on the top. - The back of my kid's bookshelf was pulled out, and torn nearly in two. - My kid's bunk bed ladder was put together incorrectly, which I fixed myself following day. - My bed was put together shoddily; the brackets on the bottom clattered to the floor when I got in it that evening. - My full-length bedroom mirror, which has a wide wooden frame, was gouged on the side. - A 4-section storage shelf was broken (one of the shelves was somehow torn out). - A large ceramic outdoor planter was placed in the bottom of a box and then they put unwrapped picture frames on top. The planter broke, dirt went everywhere, three frames were broken, and dirt ended up in some of the frames. - One of the beds that was supposed to be assembled didn't get done because everything else took so long and we just called it a night. So now I have parts of a disassembled bed in my basement, and parts of it in my garage. - Lastly, (I think because of the one guy not working as hard as the other two), the majority of my boxes didn't make it to the rooms they were labeled to go to. By 9pm, I told the guys to just get everything inside the garage and call it a night. So I spent the next week hauling boxes upstairs one-by-one and wondering why this work is falling on me! The only thing the guys pointed out to me proactively was the broken planter - because they had to get it out of their box. Everything else I discovered on my own. The morning after the move, I called customer service and was connected with Mariah. I let her know that several of my belongings were broken during my move and was really disappointed in how she treated me. She didn't once say she was sorry that I had items broken, and instead proceeded to speak to me like a) I was a dummy and b) the broken items were my fault because I hadn't hired AAA for packing services. She may have had a point, particularly as it relates to some of my picture frames. Should I have wrapped the frames? Yes. And I *had* wrapped the majority of them -- but hadn't gotten to a few of the larger ones. On my last move, the guys wrapped things like that in blankets for me. This time, these guys apparently threw them in a box unprotected? They could have just said to me, "Would you like to put these in your car instead of the truck?" and I would have! When your motto is, "You may not move every day, but we do," I expect the people helping me to advise me on what would be the best decision. Otherwise I trust that they are making the best decisions on my behalf. Regardless, this interaction was a poor way to treat a repeat customer who had just spent $2400. Worse, Mariah told me she would send me an email with instructions on how to file a claim, but never followed up. The next day I got an email survey asking me to rate my experience from 0-10. I gave a 0 and got a follow-up from Pam asking me why. I sent her an email with all the above info, and said, "Nothing that was broken or damaged was particularly precious or expensive or meaningful -- things are things and life is about more than that. And everyone has a bad day at work, or makes mistakes. I get it. But I spent what is, for me, not an insignificant amount of money and entrusted all my belongings to you and it feels awful to have so much of it damaged. And then felt extra crappy when customer service seemed to be insinuating that it was my fault." As a follow-up from that, they sent over a repair guy who did his best and got most of my damaged stuff looking better. (Sounded like he was a pretty busy guy and from reading the other reviews here, now I know why.) I didn't get any kind of follow-up from Pam about any of my broken items that are not repairable. Even if I want to claim the measly coverage - I have no idea how. The final insult was receiving an invoice from the company that included several items that were not used in my move (a TV box, and 2 extra mattress bags) and two months after telling me they would "look into it" I still haven't heard a word. We used AAA movers for a move June 9-10, 2022. Our first contact was with an estimator coming to our house to check out the items to be moved. I thought that was great because none of the other companies we talked to were doing that. We scheduled the move out of our house for June 9th and into our new house June 10th. The bottom line on AAA is: 1) It's great that they had 6 total guys for the move but if you aren't out there interacting and watching, they guys stand around. Considering you are paying by the hour - this made our move more expensive 2) It doesn't matter that they provide movers insurance. It is 60 cents on the pound. We had MULTIPLE things ruined with no recourse. They damaged the wood work of the doorframe of our old house so significantly that we had to pay to have it repaired. They damaged multiple items but the biggest one was our Restoration Hardware concrete top table - which they dropped. Literally dropped. Although you would think since it is heavy and they pay 60 cents on the dollar that they would pay to have the table fixed - nope. 3) After sending MULTIPLE emails and calling several times - they finally responded with a resolution to the damaged items as follows: they paid us $50 to fix the doorframe in the old house and paid $6 to fix a ripped up bike seat. As for the RH table - to our claim they responded: "Liability waived - signed" - which makes no sense - we never signed off on anything. In fact, I was standing there when they took the covering off the table and saw the smashed corner. So, now we have a $5000 dining room table with the corner of the top smashed off and no recourse. In fact - we have messaged them multiple times to get some sort of settlement on the table and they ignore our emails. Bottom line - don't use this moving company unless you plan to move everything that is of value yourself. They have zero customer service. This is too bad because the guy who originally came to do the estimate said that this company was a family run company and it made me feel great knowing that they had been in business for so long. read more

Rudest movers I've ever met. Not sure where they find these people. They moved an apartment in the north loop today and were extremely abrasive and disrespectful. Refused to wear masks and did not follow Bldg protocol. Left front doors open after several requests to keep them closed for security reasons. Held up the only elevator in the Bldg for hours by jamming it open (despite multiple requests not to do this). This moving co is unsophisticated and unprofessional. Run!! read more

I was reminded the other day when I saw Two Men and a Truck movers that I should have gone with them again. I scheduled AAA thru an Apt bldg in St. Louis Park that recommended them and this was a move in April of 2021. I scheduled everything for my brothers move and wouldn't have been surprised if they found these 3 guys on the street and asked them if they could work. I asked why they weren't wrapping the furniture as they hauled things out of the apt. They said they'd wrap it in the truck and I thought that was odd of course as they could and did damage things on the way to the elevator and out to the truck. They of course didn't wrap the furniture and honestly I doubted their integrity and imagined them rifling thru drawers. Poor service, poor execution and I would NEVER say a positive thing about this company. I see others have had a lousy experience as well. UGH!! read more

Beware!!! Tripple AAA has hidden fees. We were quoted between $1,500-$1,700 and will arrive at the destination around late afternoon. Lady personnel said that there's an additional $600 within the original quote, because of the interstate issue. Movers started packing around 10:45AM. Called and quoted us $1,100 plus $600 interstate charge; which we agreed. Told us that they'll be late with delivery and will deliver it the next day around 10:30AM. To our surprise, they said that we have to pay double the ~$1,100 as it's for 2 days delivery. Since this is not in the original agreement, we refused to pay $2,800. They called the cops, but cops said that it's a civil matter. It's not our fault that they can't deliver it yesterday and we were only quoted $1,500-$1,700 nothing more than that. Packers were awful. 3 of the 5 did little work, stood around and talked or used my bathroom. Went through 1 1/2 rolls of my toilet paper! Did not wrap items sufficiently which resulted in severely damaged items on delivery. Top of my china hutch was cracked open 12 inches. My white porcelain bed frames (antique) were marred badly. Took off the porcelain to the bare metal - it is ruined. Packers took apart my stuff and lost some of the bolts, so guys delivering couldn't put furniture together. Sales person was unresponsive to my calls of inquiry and help when needed. read more

Do not use this company if you are moving your items to storage. I was told they were experienced at this and my specific concerns were all addressed by their sales associate. What I experienced was a lack of follow up on a forgotten mattress bag, no wrapping of large framed items. I did not see this until arriving at storage unit to see they had stacked all framed items in a box with no padding or wrapping between them. They were unwilling to wrap these and fix the issue at the storage facility. I had to take over the framed items and resolve on my own and then get friends to help me move items to get to the mattress to properly store it in a bag. One of the movers told me he was new and had been given no training. This move of only large items, lamps and framed items on walls to a small storage unit cost $1,000. read more
