I try to…read moreuse people in the area to help them out because they are small business and I understand that it takes time to get a good base, but I trusted him with a pool table and I should have known better when he said it was only $300 to move it and he came with a pickup truck and a guy that couldn't speak English.. they ripped the top of the pool table and we had to get it replaced. I took out $250 of his pay to cover part of it and have been waiting over 2 weeks for him to get the other $250 us because it cost $500 to get the felt replaced.. he does moves in the area on Thumbtack.. I gave him a good review because he promised to help us pay for the new top and you cannot take back the reviews back on Thumbtack unfortunately.. he's got a good scam going.. I worked in the moving industry for 25 years and I should have known better. Shame on me. Beware of this guy..

Continuation from last review~…read more As my moving journey continues, my husband surprisingly enough, actually opened up his check book and decided it would be wise to hire a couple of guys from a moving company to help us. ( Trust me, it would have been impossible without them ) The movers did show up a little late, but I am going to assume it was due to GPS systems not registering for my particular address. Once they did arrive, I showed them around, and pointed out what needed moving, which was basically everything and they all dug in right away. Those four men were right on the ball, being careful, yet using the time as productively as possible. They definitely have their system down with who does what. The truck that we rented ( see previous review below ) was packed carefully while trying to use ever single space effectively. My husband hired four men from 8 AM to 1 PM and at around 12:30, it was realized there was no possible human way, the truck that was rented would be large enough for everything that was needed. of course, I panicked for a few reasons. 1. I knew the movers were hired until 1:00 2. My husband was on a business trip with no way to talk to him about this very unexpected ' surprise ' 3. I was well aware that I would now be driving a moving truck from Minnesota to Washington. ( Fun, Fun, Fun ) So, after my initial panic, I asked the guys if they could stay longer and their attitudes were so great and they all promised me they would not just leave me in this mess. The supervisor said I would just need a 17 foot truck and 2 dozen more moving blankets. I called Endurance Automotive to let them know I would need another truck, but unfortunately they had none and wished me the best of luck in finding one that size during moving season. I finally did find one in Burnsville and the supervisor from Robinson drove with me to pick it up, and drove the rental truck back to my place. When we arrived the other guys had my garage all packed up and ready to move the rest of the things in the new rented truck I do not have a clue what I would have done without these guys willingness to help me past their hired time when our house was closing the next morning, and I still had a ton of things to be packed and out of the house. The night before the move, I ran to the new house and discovered it wasn't ready. The whole downstairs still needed to have the carpet installed and the whole house still needed to be cleaned. It's after 11 pm on the eve of the move! Robinson Moving Systems was coming at 9 am! I called them at around 11:30 and left them a message. A few minutes later they called me. I explained the problem and they were able to reschedule me for Saturday 9 am. Saturday morning arrived, Robinson Moving showed up almost 30 min early. I contracted for 2 movers for 4 hours, 3 of them were there. I walked them through the house and they got started immediately. They put padded covers over the doors and railings to protect them from damage. The U-Haul I rented was the largest, 26 feet. Watching these guys (and gal) move and pack up the truck was amazing, they know what they are doing and they worked fast and efficiently. Every square inch of that truck was used. I drove the U-Haul to the new house with Robinson Moving following. When we arrived I gave them the walk-thru and again, they got right to work. Unloading was faster. They even took the time to put my 7-piece wall unit/desk together for me! Start to finish everything took about 4-1/2 hours. The only break they took was when they were sitting in their truck for the 6 mile ride to the new house. They didn't charge for the extra 30 minutes and they didn't charge for the 3rd person, so there were no surprises at the end. They were also some of the nicest folks I have ever met. Most importantly, there was absolutely NO damage to anything!!! NO belongings were damaged, NO walls, doorways, doors were damaged, everything was perfect! They earned my business! I HIGHLY recommend Robinson Moving Systems for anyone that needs this type of service!

We hired 3 movers for 2 hrs to load a 26 foot truck for our move from St. Paul, MN to TX. 2 men…read moreshowed up 10 minutes late and the other one showed up 10 minutes later. We attempted to communicate with them about the fragile totes, the really heavy items, and how my husband wanted it in the truck. It is important to note that our house was on a hill with a sheepish driveway. They smiled, nodded, then did what they wanted to. One man was on his phone most of the time. My husband was furious. They rolled my antique buffett down the driveway, my mcm small tables are all scratched up, and thre totes are busted. I realized after the first 35 minutes that this was not going to happen in a timely fashion so my husband and I started helping unload the house and the garage ourselves. We are in our late 50s and moved with more purpose than these 3 young men. It was the most stressful move of my life​. They were uncommicative, oviously took no care with literaĺly everything we owned, and did not bring plastic wrap for the furniture, did not bring drop clothes, and only one small dolly. I called the owner when they were there about the lack of supplies. He said they have a dolly. Wtf. This was the most horrible experience we have ever had with movers. I know that movers are expensive up there but please pay the extra money and look elsewhere. I am not trying to hurt the company but others need to be informed and aware. I wanted to leave a Google review but none available so this was the only venue I could find to review.

They kept us informed of their arrival time and had mats to keep outside feet away from the floors during both the pickup and drop off. The quote was wrong, the movers were slow and one was exceptionally unprofessional (by any standard) cost me over 3x my estimate and there was damaged property involved and issues with fixing the problems. Don't use them. A pick up truck and 2 guys from the nursing home could be faster. I was so disappointed. 11.5 hrs instead of 3 and a half. I extensively itemized all my property as instructed as well. Should have been no issues. I wont post pictures of the day because I dont think it's fair to show them not being efficient.

When I called back to reserve the day/time they added boxes to the quote which upped my price saying just to be sure they have enough. They said they would credit back boxes that aren't used. I called a couple days before the move and they said I could have 25 free boxes to start packing if I wanted to and I could pick up the boxes so i did. I packed all my china and stemware the day before. So the day of the move everything was going well and I was helping to pack with the 3 movers who were really chatting and taking their time. I was paying for boxes and time which was quoted 3-5 hours. So around 11am I asked were they almost ready as i had to get my apartment keys, etc. They said I could go ahead and they would meet me there by 11:30-12:00. Well they didn't show until 1:30. The movers told the apartment it would take 45 min to unload and it took 3 hours! The price doubled so I was paying way more than I agreed to but they make you pay on the spot. i was exhausted and they don't take any wrapping paper or boxes which they used tons of...feels like they work slow and use lots if boxes to mske money. Did not quote well. The movers said I could leave things in my dressers, but my jewelry was all jumbled up and falling out of the dresser when it arrived. On top of it all the movers didn't lock up and left a door open with the garage door open after they told me to go ahead and I explained a couple of times how to lock the door, etc. They never told me my house was unlocked with doors open when they arrived so I went back to my house the next day and found it wide open all day and night. So unprofessional.

They were friendly, not a single scratch on the furniture or walls at either location. I highly recommend them for all your moving needs. We had a piano in our move and it went so smoothly. All in all my expectations were exceeded and I recommend them without any reservations. (Our neighbors used a different company and the workers stood around until the owners started to move things themselves!) We didn't have to lift a finger and these guys were efficient and saved us money and time.
