We went shopping this morning in South County and my husband's car battery died. We called AAA and the dispatcher said it was going to take 30-45 min for the mobile assistance to arrive. We were giving a link to track the progress of the arrival, but it kept giving some erroneous information. We called the dispatcher a few times and even though the lady was nice, she kept giving us information that did not agree with what the AAA guy knew and/or said upon arrival. There seemed to be a disconnect between the dispatcher and the person coming to help us. We also were given the contact information of the guy, but even though we tried to chat and phone call the number, it did not go through. When Don, the guy arrived, he said, nothing comes through via his cellphone... Anyway, he checked the battery and it was dead....so we ended up buying a new battery on the spot...about $200. I have had nothing but problems at this location. Driving lessons impossible to schedule. Purchased a pass to Disney, never received the pass with no explanation as to why. Made 2 visits to get a real ID and the woman in charge told me my birth certificate was not valid? After 2 unsuccessful visits went to.DMV and was in and out in 10 minutes with all of the same paperwork. Lady is on a power trip there, don't waste your tine. read more

AAA HO insurance is fine as long as you NEVER have a claim. Had storm damage to our roof which caused water damage to interior. AAA adjuster looked at roof, stated it was def storm damage, but then put in his report there was no storm damage and they rejected the roof part of the claim. Total cost to repair interior was over 7,ooo (they covered 5,ooo). The roof was another 12,000 which we had to pay for. AAA is in the business to take your money and then deny, deny, deny. Doesn't matter that the adjuster's report on the roof was fraudulent. Stay away from AAA RI HO insurance. Stay away from Nappa Adjusting and stay away from Hancock Claim Consultants. They are all liars looking to screw the insured, no matter what the cost or situation. read more

I've had to utilize this location which is not close to my house a couple of times now. In a world where everything seems to be a process, I have never had an issue at this branch in Narragansett. Went in to get info on a Alaska cruise and land vacation. Told to sit and the next travel agent would be taking care of me . Waited about 20 min. And a agent was now available. She finished some paperwork got up and disappeared. Waited another 30 minutes and I gave up and left. I'm extremely disappointed with the customer service in this location. It was my second time going in to book a trip to Paris for 2019. I called before hand to see if an appointment was needed. I was told by Jim I could just walk right in. I did just that , the woman at the desk took my AAA card and drivers license information and told me to have a seat and she would be with me in a few minutes. A few minutes turned into over a half a hour. There were no other clients with travel agents a few a them were laughing and talking together. No one had the common curtesy to even let me know how long I would have to wait. I was invisible. I work as a manager in a retail store and bend over backwards for the clients I service.This is the second time this has happened to me, I really wanted to give them a second chance because the location is so convenient. I booked my trip to Paris with another travel agency in town Yankee Travel. They couldn't have been more helpful. Shame on you AAA , I will never go to the Narragansett location again. read more

This branch was the only place I was able to get an appointment to renew my RI driver's license. I chose the "Real ID" option on the renewal form. I had all of my documents or what I thought were my documents according to the guidelines enclosed in the renewal package. First off the branch didn't have a functional air conditioning system with the temperature at almost 90 degrees outside that's unsafe and unacceptable there was only one small fan blowing warm air around. The woman asked for my documents and I handed her the entire packet which contained my passport, birth certificate, current driver's license, my auto insurance renewal form which had my name,address,policy number etc... and my W2 form that stated my full name and SS#. The check I presented for both verification of address and payment was present as well. The first question I was asked was did I have a "middle name " foolish question! If I did it would be documented everywhere! Then she continued to discard my documents as un acceptable. The 2 women reviewing the documents were going out of their way to try and discredit me! I opted for the regular license because of the lack of time. I wouldn't return to this branch in the future for any type of business. They were not up to my standard of what customer service means. Always excellent customer service! It is a pleasure to go there. Last year - despite having a new GPS - husband and I also wanted a Trip Tik, to "skirt around" I-95 / NY / NJ - even if it took an hour more of travel time. We rec'd a great Trip Tik, which was probably even faster - due to lack of congestion (and the pervasive accidents in those heavily-traveled areas). We were able to set our GPS with the Trip Tik destination via points, and it was a MUCH more relaxed drive to SC and FL. Last week, went to AAA Narragansett for a passport photo. Very fast, courteous and professional service. I know most people don't think they "need" an auxiliary automobile service company, in these modern times, with internet, roadside service included in your auto policy, etc. On the contrary - even if you only use their services 3 times per year - they are well worth EVERY penny. read more

Bottom line I needed a tow. The vehicle would not start. It was in my garage and stored but not parked behind the garage door. I wish I could share pictures because what the AAA tech did to get it out and onto a AAA flatbed was simply amazing. To make it an even tougher job for her my driveway is at a 45 degree incline out of the garage. The woman's name was Amelia Desiata. She studied the angles to get it in a position to be yank from the garage. The vehicle is an old VW camper van (Westfalia). She physically pushed the van to get it in position and then hooked it and i turned the wheel as she instructed as she slowly pulled the van in position to be towed up the driveway. She was simply amazing. I regret not taking pictures because my description of the issues does not do it justice at all. Long time AAA member here and Narragansett office is one of the best customer service. Generally we travel independently but this yr we asked JUDY at AAA to help us on a car rental. Last yr we did it ourselves & paid $500 wkly for mid-car, a bit excessive. Well, what do you know! AAA Narragansett did the leg work, handled all our special request for info on Easy Pass in that far away state..... we landed one for less than $200. Wow. And the car rental agency offered top notch customer service and a car with a high safety rating. Also because AAA's reservation included specifics of what we wanted, when we picked up our car, the car rental agency didn't pressure us with all sorts of foolish questions about insurance, etc. So grateful for your help. read more
