Wow. What a rip-off. I had them come look at a bathroom faucet that wasn't working well and was quoted $1,000 repair - said with a deadpan straight face - honestly I thought he was joking. I asked what I owed him for "looking at it" and he said $67.50. I wrote a check and sent him on his way. My grandson stopped by on his way home from worked and fixed the problem in about 20 minutes and my sink now works great. Enough said. I won't be calling that company again. read more

Great service but be careful because they will take advantage and charge. Simple sink clog and snake that took 30-40 min was $385 + $84 after hour service fee. As far as take advantage, they were upfront with the $84 after hours service fee. No problem there. It's the $385 cost to clear the drain. Before I booked the service I was direct in asking home much to clear the drain and the response was "I don't have access to that info". I was somewhat prepared for a premium charge at 7pm at night but again $485 is incredible. Be warned. Again great service but expect to pay well above market value. read more

Henry, Jeremy and Paul handled a challenging replacement of a rotted cast-iron drain pipe that crossed through the 2nd floor ceiling of our recently remodeled kitchen. They did it all in one day. Very minimal openings were cut into the ceiling, and the drywall that was removed was remounted. All surrounding areas were protected from dirt/dust. Their clean up was perfect. Communications throughout the day were excellent! We have used AAA Paradise here for over 8 years. Ours is a 3 story second home and I always allow their crews to have access to the home without us even being here. That kind of old-school trust is hard to come by these days. We called paradise this Morning and they arrived shortly after noon. Jeff was quick and efficient. We had a hard clog to get past and he was diligent... he had to cut into the wall because we didn't have a clean out upstairs and even that was precise. Do not use for urgent services. Their pricing is based on the homeowners predicament not the time needed to make the repair. Had a pipe leak at 4pm. They fixed it by soldering a screw into the leak hole (not an unreasonable way to make a temporary fix). Took about 15 minutes. All fine. The on-site plumber called the office to get a price: $500. I had to have two toilets installed. David Duran , the plumber, did a great job. he was meticulous an courteous. The second toilet was supposed to be installed by another plumber (who was installing a shower). The other plumber gave me a bit of bother about the toilet. Called David, problem solved. Called to get a quote to do a job. The guy seemed confused and went to his truck to call someone else then after about 15 minutes told me he would have to go back to the office & write up the quote, then told me I owed $65 for the service call! Called another company. They put me through to someone and I explained what I needed. A few days later a plumber showed up and got busy, had the job done in two hours. A few days later I finally get the quote from Paradise. Are you kidding me? They quoted 2 guys, 5 hours & a price that was more than double for the job that took the other plumber two hours all by himself. Not sure if this is on purpose or just lack of knowledge and experience. Either way not good. read more

Over the past few years I had become discouraged. I had a couple of ongoing plumbing problems that could not be solved by a stream of visiting plumbers. A building contractor that I trust, recommended the people he uses but he specifically said to ask for a veteran plumber at AAA Paradise. To my delight, a veteran plumber is what I got. I was able to schedule "Henry" within a few days. By now I had a short list of issues to brainstorm. With calm and a fun sense of humor, Henry knocked off my list items one by one. He acknowledged the items that he would further research, suggested ideas for me to try in the meanwhile and went above and beyond to solve what he could on his first visit. The fee was reasonable for the great amount of time that he spent and we have planned to each do some homework before our next scheduled visit. In the past, many of the visiting plumbers just wanted a quick fix. They were content to snake, use a camera, or other costly suggestions without spending much time brainstorming. I am hopeful that I have finally found the expertise I need to resolve the plumbing problems at my home. What a relief! read more

I should have left this review earlier, but the pandemic interrupted our family's lives that I just remembered that I bought a new toilet at Lowes for my elderly mother a week before the pandemic started and Paradise not only overcharged my mother, but the toilet started to slowly leak poop and pee around the edge on the floor 3 days after he installed it. I should of installed it myself because I would have made sure it was level and sealed with a heavy duty wax seal and/or rubber seal. They are good at the rooter and faucet stuff, but not so good with older homes that need new toilets that take some real concentration and checking back with the customer. read more

I called Paradise plumbing and they came out for an estimate on February 14, it's now March 4 and I have not heard back on an estimate that I requested on a whole house re-pipe. They made sure to charge me the $65 estimate fee after I was never made aware of beforehand. And after three weeks I still haven't heard back nor received a comprehensive estimate. Their assessment was thorough I will give them that however, never heard back. and they made sure to tell me how busy they were however, I never expected to not hear back. The job is considerably large for a whole house older home repipe and over $40,000 and I'm surprised that they haven't gotten back to me yet. after calling, I received a voicemail. I am not prone to giving a negative review however, frustrated with the service and lack of follow up from this company. I have since chosen another local company, but was hoping to get several estimates from a few different local, family owned companies in Ventura. read more

I had an emergency my main sewage line being backed up. Richard is the man! We had a random leak in our garage during the evening and I called several plumbers in the Ventura area but Paradise Plumbing was the only one that would come out that night. They gave me a time window and to my surprise, they showed up 20 meetings early. They were able to fix the leak which was awesome and the plumber they sent over was very professional and courteous. Steve saved my butt. I just got home from vacation and my water pump to the house had been down for days! Plants were starting to get dry, and nobody could even shower. No other plumber would come to replace my pump, because there's an electrical component involved. So I called this paradise emergency line.. a female said that a tech would be there in an hour. Turns out that the plumber, Steve, knew all about my kind of waterwell pump, from top to buttom, and had apparently installed this kind of stuff many times. Talk about relief!! So he busted out a 3 foot wrench and spent hours putting it in, in the dark -- and he got it perfect.. fully troubleshooting and checking everything about it after it was done. I owe this man, and this company, huge... for all their help when nobody else would come to the rescue.. He also helped me investigate some other issues, and gave great advice. I'm truly relieved. I needed my new gas wall oven installed before Thanksgiving desperately. I was having serious problems trying to find anyone who could install the oven, when my daughter found these guys after seeing my panic. I'd just had knee replacement surgery and I was struggling. The dude who came seemed really negative about the situation because the manufacturer didn't include installation instructions for the oven. There were refrigerator instructions instead. He wasn't sure he could install it. But after much kvetching, he said, yes, he could install the oven. I realized by then that the installation dude's work method was just like my husband's. They complain and complain as they're doing the job. And the installation dude did a great job. He actually rerouted the gas line to make it accessible. It was beautiful work. He said he was probably one of the last guys in Ventura County who could install the gas wall oven! He's probably right. So I got lucky. He told me not to do too much. But I did! Awful service from technicians. They were rude and seemed unhappy to be there . They poked a hole in the blockage with 1/4 snake, turned on the water for less than 60 seconds and left. That evening everything backed up again. $185 for nothing ! Called Dutton plumbing out the next day and got spectacular service from their technician. Will never use or recommend AAA Paradise plumbing again. Costumer service is everything and these guys know nothing about it . read more

They are way over charge 45 minutes job to change one 3 feet copper water pipe cost $600 I will never call them again not in 100 years

Called them to replace the rubber gasket between the tank and bowl. Because my bad back, it was difficult fir Me to get on the floor. I drained sponge out the water fr the talk. The tech I Ian from Paradise came and look inside the talk and said the screws were rusty and he would have to replace the entire commode. And he quoted me $300 for a toilet and about $240-260 for labor, which sounded too expensive. I told him that Lowe's has toilets for $100, but he said that those don't flush well. So, I told him that I had to the k about it and he left. I end up getting the parts, gasket and 3 screws myself and fixed that commode myself. The parts cost me only $8 and my time. I called them back and told them that they are completely a rip off. The only screws he needed to undo, were located under the tank and those came Off easily. read more
