Joseph took the initiative to contact AO Smith (brand of our bad water heater) to see if it was still under warranty. It turns out it did have a couple of years left, and Joseph offered to take it back to Lowe's in order to exchange it for a new one (where we purchased the water heater that was bad), this was already past 5 PM. Then, he came back and installed a new hot water line that was feeding the water heater (the old line had a leak already), finished the job after 8 PM. This must have been a long day for Joseph, but he always had a great attitude, was professional, and helpful. These are the type of people that make a difference when deciding who to call in the future when you need a service/plumbing needs. Unfortunately the contractor decided to place the gas line and valve to the pit within the masonry work, leaving no way to access the line should the need arise. Flash forward to about a week and a half ago, and the valve in my backyard fire pit became stripped and was no longer opening or closing with they key. I am a DIY guy 95% of the time, but I am not about to go messing around with a gas line, so I called a local fire place shop to ask about repairs. They told me the job required a plumber and recommended Lloyd's Plumbing service. I called Lloyd's, left a message and... never heard back. After a couple days I searched on my own and found Gallegos Plumbing. I called them and asked about an estimate. The gentleman told me there was no charge to have someone come out I had an appointment scheduled for the next day. The communication throughout the entire process was spectacular. Within a couple minutes of hanging up the phone, I had already received an email and text confirming my pending appointment, and even had a reminder email and text the next day. Bill Jeffries was the gentleman who came to my house. He called me to let me know he was on his way and also asked me about the issue I was having with my fire pit so he could be as prepared as possible. He showed up on time and was very friendly. He took a look at my fire pit, spent time answering my questions, and walked me through three different solutions that could work. He was honest and transparent about the estimated costs for each potential solution, which I appreciated. But seeing the concerned look on my face, knowing that I was looking at a higher cost than expected due to how my fire pit was built, Bill offered a fourth solution that I could try myself, and walked me through how he would do it. In my experience, this just doesn't happen these days. Bill was genuinely interested in helping me figure out my problem and not just looking to make some money. After 30 minutes of his time, he gave me his card, shook my hand, told me to call if I needed anything, and bid me a good afternoon. I was left with no charge for the time or the visit, and a potential solution to my problem that I can try myself for the cost of a few tools and an afternoon. Gallegos Plumbing came through huge, and I feel that their service and expertise is second to none. Bill was extremely professional, friendly, and listened to me. I will most certainly be calling Gallegos Plumbing in the future for all my my plumbing needs, as mine was a great first experience. I am glad I found them, and I would recommend them to anyone needing plumbing service in their home. It's hard to find good, honest, hard-working businesses these days who put their customers first, but Gallegos Plumbing is one of those few. Highly recommended, and I can't say thank you enough.

As I had to leave for an appointment, he called when done, sent pictures via text, and explained the fix. The only surprise was that he me called the next day to check in to ensure all was still OK, and no further issue/leaks. Who does that? Robert of Summers Plumbing! A few years ago I used Pro Solutions and Jerry came out for a water pressure issue that impacted our sinks and shower. Jerry was thoughtful and a good communicator on the issue. He fixed the issue immediately and that experience stuck with us. Fast forward to this week, we used them again. Thankfully, no emergencies but I had one toilet needing a tweak and needed hardware changed in one of my bathrooms for the shower and sink that was long overdue. Even though my request wasn't an emergency, Jerry offered to come out within hours of my request to fix everything and was communicative even late into the night (when my toilet started acting up so I frantically messaged them) talk about stellar availability and service. Next day I had Jerry at my door, he was punctual, professional and did a great job of explaining everything so that I could understand what needed to be done, the pricing, and options for the replacement pieces. It was all a seamless and easy process. Jerry was also quick and efficient which was another bonus. What gives this company extra brownie points in my books though is their honesty...To elaborate, I had partially fixed the issue with my toilet before Jerry came but there was still something slightly off about the water levels... after telling Jerry he was able to tweak the part that I didn't know how to fix and literally in seconds, he had the issue resolved. Given what a quick fix it was and that he was already out to help with other plumbing issues, he didn't charge me for the toilet fix. Little things like that go a long way because any other plumber would've likely charged me just for even touching it/assessing it. That shows me that they care about their long-term business and customers, so they aren't out to make a quick buck. But when we needed to change out an old bathroom vanity for a new one, we knew we had to get serious about it. And if you hire a plumber to do the work, which DOES involve some plumbing, then it costs way more. I resigned myself to the search and literally just contacted the most popular handyman service in my town based on Yelp reviews. Guess what? thank goodness I did! 805's Handyman (NOT to be confused with "805 Handyman") responded right away--even though it was a Sunday and the World Cup games were on. I uploaded pics, sent in the details, got an estimate, and made an appointment. On the day of, a nice truck drove up with the logo painted proudly on the side (not a guy in a fancy sports car, like handyman #9). Two sturdy guys came in and got down to business right away--no fuss, all smiles, and dare I say it? Like they loved what they do. (Unlike handyman #7 who was a former engineer and complained the whole time, even refusing to do some tasks!) Long story shorter, the bathroom vanity switcheroo turned out to be bigger and messier project than expected. It ended up involving some retiling, grouting, electrical adjustments, alterations to trim, painting--and the plumbing bits and installation and removal. The workers were quiet, helpful, communicated the whole time and were just generally old-school excellent (unlike handyman #4, who was nice, but got everything crooked and a bit wonky, bless his heart). The 805's Handyman workers did ALL the plumbing/installing/electrical/tile work/painting--the whole shebang. And the end result is a sweet transformation for our upstairs bath (I also asked them to take care of a few more items on my to-do list, which they did quickly and again, with smiles). The whole thing was very gratifying. So much so, that the next time something in our house needs fixing, I will actually look forward to hiring 805's Handyman again. We're lucky to have them in the Ventura area and they are popular on Yelp for very good reasons.

He carefully looks at all information available from the types of systems to the pros and cons of each and tailors them to the individual's requirements. The best part is he doesn't oversell you on things you don't need. In my case I wanted a system to eventually be ready for an electric car. Dean wisely advised not to buy the extra pieces now when they would be of no value to me, but ensured my system would be ready for upgrades when I was ready. Since our initial install we have upgraded our system on 3 occasions, each time carefully planned out to maximize the value of the equipment and to get the best bang for the buck. I was heading out of town for a weekend that had been planned for some time, literally in the car, in route, on a Saturday. I received a call from my tenant informing me that my water heater was spewing water in the garage. I was concerned about, one, finding someone available on a Saturday that could resolve the issue, and two, the inflated rates that typically accompany that situation. I had called two other competitors with whom I left messages with hoping they might get back to me ASAP. I decided to give it one more try and I contacted Paradise Plumbing. I was told that their $69 rate to come out to assess the problem was the same Monday through Sunday, and that if I accepted the bid the charge would be applied toward the cost of the repair. They came out that day, determined that a new water heater was needed, (of which I had been expecting as it had not been replaced in probably 10 years). They were able to replace the water heater and attached flex lines that were available in stock in their warehouse. They completed the job that day with no interruption in my plans and a very happy tenant with a newborn. I felt their rates were fair and competitive. One dreadful evening at 9:00 PM I realized that I could not turn the shower off as the faucet wasn't working. I quickly Googled a 24/7 plumber near me and found this company. The person on the phone was very helpful and told me she could get someone to me within the hour. Within 45 minutes a plumber was at my house and after running to Home Depot before they close for the night to get the necessary parts, my problem was solved. The plumber that arrived was Matthew K. who was extremely professional, polite and helpful. He ran to Home Depot and got there 10 minutes before they closed for the night. He really went above and beyond to solve my problem that night and not have to wait another day with water leaking all night. He even went as far as cleaning my shower heads to make 100% sure that everything worked perfectly. Matthew K. is the perfect customer service oriented professional we need more of! The reviews are right, the work is good (not great or anything special), but VERY overpriced. More than double other companies for the same service, and once they start working, they will try to squeeze every last penny out of you with random surcharges and addons. And because they don't bill hourly, they use that to create a false sense of urgency by coming up with "issues" that could delay the completion of service. Based on all the other reviews, I am looking forward to the owner responding that their rates are competitive OR that they can't find my email, and that I need to reach out for a correction. But it doesn't look like anyone on any of the previous reviews has ever gotten a "correction" to their overpriced bill! I would not use them again, nor would I recommend them to anyone. It's like going to a fancy restaurant for a regular burger - why pay so much when you can get a burger just about anywhere else? read more

Chris C. of AAA Paradise Plumbing: Your rebuttal to my factual accounting of your estimate is in error. 1) You claim that there are trees in the way of the path of the water line, this is not true. 2) You claim that there are block walls in the path of the path of the water line, but in reality, there is only one, of which you would have to dig under anyway, if you are to dig a trench to a depth of 20-24 inches. 3) Miscellaneous items that you claim that are in the way of construction consists of one set of folding chairs, of which I said I would remove. 4) The "second hand" parts you say I elect to use (and recommended) are from Lowes, for a total cost of $464.04. You also stated that "my material pricing is off". Are you willing to stand by this statement? I still have all of the material in my shopping cart at Lowes. Main sewer line from our house to street backed up. Called Paradise Plumbing. They arranged to have a plumber out within 45 minutes from when I called. Extremely friendly, clean and competent young man named Josh snaked the line and pulled out mass of roots on first try. Second try, no roots, but line backed up again. Third try and line stayed clear. He recommended a couple of alternatives to snaking, but no high pressure sales pitch. Paradise also installed a whole-house water filter system for us about 18 months ago. Completely satisfied with that work, too. All contacts with this company, from Christina in the office to their plumbers, have been positive. I will definitely give this local company my business in the future. They've earned it. read more

Another reviewer gave them 5 stars. This has got to be wrong. This company installed faucets in my home. After they had left (and after cleaning their mess) I took a shower, and there was no pressure in the hot water, and the bathroom basin had no running water. I called them back and only the basin water was fixed. The hot water runs better, but is still not what it was. A few days after the second visit, I noticed that the grout around the base tap they had installed was not grout but plumbers putty. It had collapsed and left a hole and a quarter inch of improperly positioned tile (and it looks ugly). I had to call in another plumber and a handyman to get this fixed. Ruben truly did an amazing job and went above and beyond my expectations. What seemed like a fairly simple job of installing a new trap, disposal and faucet turned out to open pandoras box caused by years of shoddy repairs. Every aspect of the repair turned out to be very difficult because of the old patchwork of fittings and pipes. Ruben was super patient, professional, neat and thorough. When most guys probably would have packed up and left he figured out a way to get the job done and saw it through until the end. And he was here for a long time! Our 2 toilets were backing up and I called Paradise Plumber and Rooter. They came out that day and had the drain camera determine the problem. Jeremy and Mathew explained the issues with our plumbing and answered all my questions. Very courteous and professional. This is the kind of service call I normally dread - where a contractor decides to sell me a new water heater when I don't need one. Well, that didn't happen. We had a blocked outside storm drain and had to have it cleared before another big rain storm came in on a Fri. Richard came the same day and identified the problem and planned on repairing the drain on Sat. However the cement was too wet to work so both Richard and Jeff came on Sunday (at no extra charge) to break out the concrete and replace the broken pipe just in time for the big rain Sunday night. Our water heater broke on Sunday morning. We woke up to a mess and no hot water. David Duran came out and evaluated the problem and was very helpful. He came back out today and repaired the damage and replaced the water heater. He was nice, professional, and did a great job. The work is clean and well done. Today Richard G. came to work on kitchen disposal and drain problems and was prompt, friendly, neat, and he provided an accurate estimate. We called Paradise plumbing today and they sent out a technician within the hour. Henry was great. He and my husband worked together to figure out why our tankless water heater wasn't heating. My husband and I had already spoken with Tagaki support several times and couldn't figure out the troubleshooting based on the information we were given. We discovered water pouring through our light fixture and immediately needed a plumber. Found Paradise Plumbing online and called them up, they were able to get someone out right away to help us out. Luckily it was just an issue with our toilet however our home is very old and will need a repiping soon.
