8/7/2025: Today, I'm received my new truck insurance policy from AAA Insurance Agent, Ms. Angela Hurt (BTW: No relations with Actor, William Hurt--lol). BTW: The only reason rewriting my truck's insurance policy is primarily due to the inane and obtuse billing and mandatory due date payment schedule. Emphasizing, the nature of AAA mandatory payment schedule wasn't conducive to when I receive my Military Pension! Therefore, I had no other options than rewriting my ENTIRE truck insurance policy . . . AAA will not just change the mandatory payment schedule: Oh, no~I MUST REWRITE my entire truck insurance policy!!!! AUGH! Anyway, I'm satisfied the mandatory payment schedule will now coincide and correlate when I receive my Military Pension, i.e., I will never receive nasty-grams nor late billing fees which is exactly I want permanently avoiding and succumbing to "Chump Late Fees" if, you get my drift! read more

Excellent customer service! A bright and cheerful smile greets you when you enter! Once you tell the greeter what you are there to accomplish, it's literally a minute before someone who specializes in your request, steps up to assist you!! The gentleman sitting at the front desk when entering was really kind, friendly and attentive with a smile, however lady in the back (Debbie) was friendly but her customer service was plastic and gave a vibe of not being authentic. I know great customer service when I see it. She definitely needs a reboot of improvement for customer service right along with the other ladies sitting in the back of the office. read more

I went to AAA to pay my Car Registration. It's a great service they provide with the membership. I haven't been to the DMV in years. The Rep was nice and quick, she knew what she was doing! If I could give there travel department a ZERO I would. I have never experienced worst customer service in my life. Lucia Blake actually told me she did not have time for me. And her red headed assistant told us we would be better calling to 800 number and handed us a Airline Ticket Express card. I have gotten better treatment from the kid cleaning the bathroom at McDonald's. Lucia Blake, let me remind you that YOU are in the customer service industry and me being a Premier Member since 2009 except more. I will never EVER recommend AAA Placerville travel department. If you have kids on your AAA insurance don't go to this office because if your kid gets in an accident with your insured vehicle they'll give you a different attitude like it's your fault when they should be helping you through the process and not have an attitude! Went through the Folsom office and it was much better! Ya deal with hillbillies ya get hillbilly experience. read more

AAA is the same as always, when you need it it's there. Don't let your membership expire.

I went into AAA office in Placerville to register a boat and trailer. The paperwork I had was not signed in the right location and the date on the document had the wrong year noted. The customer service representative walked me though the process and explained the options I could use to complete the registration process. 5 minutes later I walked out of the office with my new registration for my boat and trailer. What a relief not having to go though this process at the DMV office. Thanks AAA! read more

After calling for a tow, waiting for 3 1/2 hours, then I was told that AAA could not help me, try again tomorrow, I tried again the next day. I asked if I could make an appointment so I did not have to wait and was told that was not an option. I asked if they could call the tow company to see if arrangements could be made and was told that was not an option. I had to drive over an hour to meet with the tow driver so I did not want to call ahead of time and possibly risk missing them if they showed up early. I called from the broken vehicle at 12:37, they did not process the request until 1:08, and I was sent an email saying my estimated time of arrival was 1:53, HAH! Tow driver showed up at 4:04- another 3 1/2 hours out of my life. If you are looking for terrible service and an unfathomable amount of frustration, then AAA is for you. 1 star is far too generous in my opinion. read more

The Placerville AAA is amazing. We have used their DMV services twice, this last time for a complicated transaction where we needed title services on a used car we purchased and we needed to take plates of an existing car to the new car and get replacement plates for another car. We couldn't believe that the agent we worked with knew how to do all those things and helped us with the forms as well. And had the new plates on hand. The transactions couldn't have gone more smoothly. I love all the perks of a AAA membership but the DMV services alone make it worth it! read more

the website needs updated. It says your open but when I call the recording says your closed. So please either update the site or recording. We have an urgent question about our homeowners insurance and now not sure who to call before the problem becomes worse. Maybe having an on call for emergency situations would be another good idea. read more

It's a pain to get maps now that they've taken out the machines. You wait in the same line as people doing insurance and DMV transactions.

I've had the basic membership for too many years to count! The towing service rocks - I've used it a couple times and it's always worked out great. The biggest bonus is the DMV services - they can't do it all, but if you need vehicle related DMV stuff it's so much easier than going to the DMV. The gals behind the counter are great and always helpful. I don't use the insurance or travel services so can't comment on that. read more

Our request for maps as we are planning a trip to the Southwestern states​ of the US. The service representative was prompt and attentive to our request. As a AAA member, I seldom use the emergency towing service. I am very pleased with the ability to purchase maps and books for places I intend to visit. read more

If i could give them a half of star i would. The man that works in the office is useless. Showed up a half an hour late to open the office was beyond rude and completely disrespectful. As if he did us a favor by actually showing up at work and we were just annoyances cuting into his time. My family has been AAA members for over 30 years. After this mornings meeting with him, we will no longer be doing business with AAA. read more

This rating is based on my experience with doing a transfer of ownership for a vehicle I bought. I believe the person who helped me was elenore?, it could not have gone smoother, I was worried it was going to be difficult because it was an out of state title but the car was registered in California but everything was sorted out in about 5 minutes , it took maybe 15 minutes total and I was out the door even with new tags for the next year. In all honesty the AAA membership paid for itself right there. I will definitely do all the DMV transactions I can at this location. and just as with the DMV I recommend arriving with as much of the required documentation as possible (bill of sale, pink slip, etc.) read more

This office is horrible! They are so disorganized and rude I wanted to cancel my membership when I went there but I know there is other offices I can go to. Went in there for DMV services after we were told they could do the service we needed done. We spent over an hour as they tried to figure out if we had a truck bus commercial vehicle etc, we just had a passenger van.But what really was incredible was that she was upset because she was just about to go lunch and now she was stuck with us, like we wanted to be there either. No I had things to do also. Well after all this they couldn't get anything done and told us to go to the DMV! We didn't argue or make any kind of scene we just said thank you and walked out trying to not let this ruin our entire day. Went to DMV the wait was 7 minutes and the woman who helped us there was so polite, helpful, and kind, she was done in 10 minutes. Lesson learned I will never go to AAA for DMV services again! read more
