I had AAA many years ago, mainly to get their TripTiks for our road trips. It was fun flipping the pages of the map as you got closer to your destination. We recently got a membership for our daughter and ourselves. It was more for our daughter since her car is getting older and she was taking a road trip vacation. Well, we ended up having to use their tow service for my husband's car when his brakes failed. It was an easy process. I called the number on the card and a recording indicated that for faster service I could fill in the info in a link that they sent. I entered the requested info and got a text indicating that my request was scheduled to a technician and had a link that you could click on to check the status. There was a time which I wasn't sure if that's when they were arriving or when we would be contacted. We got a text indicating who our driver was and when they would be arriving and received a call almost simultaneously from the technician, Britani, who was calling to confirm the info that I had entered. We were told that she would be there in 20 min. Sure enough, she was at our house within 20 min! Britani was courteous, knowledgeable, very professional and worked efficiently. She's a great asset to AAA. I've heard horror stories about people having to wait for a long time for AAA to arrive. I don't know if we called when it wasn't so busy but we had a great experience! read more

This office is convenient for me as a long time AAA member. I like their roadside service as long as I don't need to use it, if that makes sense. My home and auto insurance is bundled through AAA so that is assuring. I have used this office for cruise and land travel. The staff here is on the older spectrum so I find that if I want to go somewhere the agent hasn't been or previously planned a trip, it is like the blind leading the blind and being more computer literate, I really just use them for the booking convenience. You must show a membership card at the desk before you are assigned an agent. My agent Debbie has always been friendly and available. She is good on remembering anything I need for a trip and printing our documents. read more

I have been a AAA Plus member since 2012. During that entire time, there have only been a few times where I needed to call or go on the app to request roadside service. On average, it's been a good experience with the exception of two crazies that I would have reported had they not known where we live. The biggest issue for me is that they allow only four service calls a year, they bill you annually, but as you can see from the snapshot of my member card, they state you have roadside assistance for two years within the billing period. I have called customer service, but no one can explain it reasonably. If anyone reading this understands, please message me. I would greatly appreciate it. With that, perhaps what I'm really paying for is peace of mind and a little help--because with all the construction always going on in South Florida and the loose screws on our roads--I don't want to be stranded out there, much less at night. read more

This location I did not even know existed until a few days ago, located just East of Flamingo Rd on Sunrise Blvd. It seems they have decent interest rates for your money here. Also, a big gift card tower of different food and home good places. The most interesting thing that they offer are old fashioned paper maps of the United States - not sure why though with gps but they are free. I have the AAA card that they also offer that provides various discounts for lodging and emergency vehicle support and a few other things. I have been a AAA member for more than 25 years and this location is by far one of the worst locations I've been to in the 4 states I have lived in. I went to this location a few times now and service is mediocre, the most recent visit was last week when I went in for an international driving permit. I went in at 8:37 AM (after the location opened at 8:30) and the front desk agent greeted me and asked the reason for my visit. I brought all of my paperwork in and the front desk employee wrote my name down on a clipboard and said it would be about 15 minutes before someone would be with me. I advised that I had all of my paperwork ready with passport photos and advised I could leave the paperwork with them and they could mail the permit to me and the agent said "we don't do that anymore". I advised the AAA website with the international driving permit said you could mail all the paperwork to your local AAA office and they could mail the completed permit back to you. The employee said, you can't pick it up later today? And I advised that I'm going to work now and I'll still be at work when your office closes. I wasn't in a hurry for the permit either as my travel isn't for another 3 months and I planned in advance of my trip. At that time another agent sitting at her desk started telling the front desk agent that she was at her desk and could help me (20 minutes after the office opened). The front desk employee at that point was working on my permit and and started arguing with the other employee and the other employee was saying why does he want to wait 2 weeks for his permit to be mailed? And I told them because I'm not in a hurry, that's why I planned in advance of my trip. They then after all the arguing back and forth had the permit completed in 2-3 minutes time. I felt it was the biggest waste of time arguing back and forth when the permit could have just been completed from the beginning (considering there were no other customers waiting for assistance in the lobby). read more

We walked in and there was someone being helped at the counter. within a few minutes someone from a side desk asked us if we wanted to process an application for the IDP and said she saw our papers in our hand. Today, a half hour before a doctor's appointment, my car wouldn't start. I've been starting it and letting it run nearly weekly but today I couldn't even get the doors to open. No problem, I just asked my husband to drive me. He starts his car - it coughs - and won't turn over. Seriously. Both cars wouldn't start. He was at the pharmacy a few days ago and at the dentist last Friday, so we have no idea why it wouldn't start today. We called AAA and the rep was able to start my husband's car but wasn't able to get inside my car to release the hood latch. My car app wouldn't let me start the car or open the door. I called the dealership and they couldn't remotely start the car either. They sent a company out to get into my car and that guy could, but he couldn't find the battery (he even checked the trunk). My husband pointed it out to him, but he wasn't able to successfully give it a boost. He left and I called AAA again, now that the hood was up. Of course, by now my doctor's appointment was rescheduled for next week. Some neighbors were stealing glances at the parade of vehicles entering and exiting our driveway all afternoon. But Ricardo (car 49) came out to save the day. He had my car door open literally within the first minute of arriving. He charged the battery in minutes and ran a diagnostic test of the battery's performance, the alternator, etc. My battery was down to 25% life. I asked him to replace it. Ricardo was quick and knew what he was doing. Oh, how I wish I got him first...or second. But he was third and it's true - third time is the charm! Whereas the second guy had no gloves and initially forgot to put his mask back on after a phone call, Ricardo had his mask and gloves on the whole time. THANK YOU AAA for providing the great service through Ricardo. Now I have a new battery that has a 6 year warranty (the first 3 years are full replacement). And I trust that I'll be able to get to the doctor next week. I continue to feel great about having a AAA membership. Love you Ricardo! read more

Even though the office Seemed empty from the outside (8:40 am!) it was in fact quite busy when we went to get our international drivers licenses! The service was quick, no line, no fuss, they took our passport pictures for $10 each and the 2 licenses at $20 each. They did mention that we could get their membership for $80, and we did consider it... maybe next time! Todays mission was successfully and happily accomplished! read more

This AAA is located right next to Petsmart and not too far from Fresh Market. We are AAA members mainly because my husband's beater car is 12 years old. We have mostly had good experiences with AAA when we have had vehicle emergencies, except when my husband got an awful rep in FL that was really unhelpful at the tail end of a cross country drive. There are a variety of memberships you can pick from, we have one of the higher ones that allows a longer tow (up to 100 miles) vs the basic plan that gives you a lot less (5 miles max). We also get free fuel delivery, $100 locksmith service, and some other perks. It's great to have someone who can jump your battery, because FL weather does a number on them. I believe I heard battery life on cars here is about half of what it should be normally. I kept getting mailings from AAA about car insurance. I'm fed up with the sky high rates here, so I decided to submit my info online and get a quote. I eventually heard from an agent and the rates were a bit better. I saved about $200+ on my 6 month premium. You do need to read all the fine print and make sure your coverages are staying the same. I switched from one major company to another. Sadly, a lot of companies refuse to even insure in this state due to the uninsured motorist problem. I had to have a quick car inspection today and set up my new plan with a friendly agent. In addition to car, they also offer renters and home owner insurance. There are other agents who can help you with travel. Overall a good experience in this office. read more

I drove an hour to get here, explained to them my situation and they cared less to even try accommodating me even though I had all the documents and paperwork ready to submit my application. I'm not sure how much longer this company will stay in business with employees like in this location. On 21Dec2021, during inclement stormy weather, a truck Lost some metal debris and posts. It was very windy and I could not avoid hitting it! I got a flat tire/ blow out when I hit the debris! I called AAA at 10:40 and was still waiting for help at 12:42. No updates, no call backs and no service for a line women stranded with a flat tire along Alligator Alley! This was and is the worst service I have ever heard of! I'm not sure you can call that an emergency service at all! I have been a member since 1988 and have used AAA for distress calls and travel information in the past and I was satisfied with the service. My experience yesterday was of a different kind. Several months ago I lost my wallet and with it, my AAA card. My membership expired on 2-1-24. That was yesterday (1-31-24). When I got a reminder text I realized that I had no card and no membership number and I had an address change as well. I drove to the Plantation office in Broward County, Florida hoping to get help. As I read the reviews I was not hopeful for a positive outcome and was I surprised AND impressed!! The staff couldn't possibly be more helpful and professional as well as sympathetic to my situation. They took care of my issue and I was literally in and out of there in less than 15 minutes. Kudos to the staff there and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. read more

AAA (Broward) is unpleasant, unhelpful, & horrific. 12/28 @2:16p request for service confirmed/enroute, @3:45p service vehicle arrive & unable to tow. Instead of assistance from AAA agent, "Shay" who stated her boss name was Carole (with no contact in another state). provided smacking (assumption of food), uncertainty, an host of repeated questions including 10 minutes of dead air. Only for "Shay" to return to say there would be an additional hours of wait time before help/peace of mind arrive. Called the complain number to get two people that made it their business to let me know they have nothing to do with Florida, then I was transferred to Arizona to hear the same. Shay also shared that they do not assist with commercial towing, you're on your own. As you do insurance, you expect paying for an elective extension to support your vehicle/peace of mind would be present. This was far from the experience the expected experience. As a result, elderly passenger was left in the rain, hours of waiting with no followup or attempts to assist, request for commercial and was met with refusal. Shay, if that's her real name in Sunrise, Fl AAA was horrible and should be connected to the world of customer service at all. We had to get a passport picture taken here so if you're a member this is a good place to get it done. The sales person was trying to sell me a membership, $59 for the basic membership for two people. I told her I would look into it. If you upgrade, you could get cash back when buying gift cards and other discounts as well. Triple A, is very popular. I had it back when I was living in Rhode Island and when I had an older used vehicle. It was great because my axel broke and they sent a flat bed truck out in fifteen minutes. I've always had great customer service and response time when my car broke down or has a flat. They also come out when your battery dies or if you lock your keys in the car. Unfortunately, when I lived up north, the cold winters can mess with your battery life. I think it's a great service to have and the employees at this branch were friendly and helpful. The office was really big filled with cubicles and a receptionist desk. At the back, that is where the travel and auto desks was located. There's plenty of parking. Overall, a good spot to open or update your membership with them. read more

I strongly advise anyone not to do business with AAA. Four days ago, my truck became disabled on Griffin Road, Davie, FL. I called AAA as I am a premium member. I was told a two hour wait time for a tow, after 90 mins., they told me it would now be three additional hours before I could get a tow to my location. They then proceeded to send me a message that they could not get to me until after noon. I had been waiting by the side of the road since 6:00 AM. This caused me the loss of a days work, so I then cancelled the request out of sheer frustration. AAA called me and offered to give me $20 off my next year's membership renewal as restitution for the bad service. I don't feel $20 is adequate compensation for a loss of a day of work, sitting disabled on the side of the road with no other solution offered from AAA. I had to find alternative arrangements causing undue stress to others. I am hoping AAA will make this right, but wanted to warn others to think twice about how AAA handles customer service. read more

I'm writing this about AAA in general and not necessarily about AAA Auto Club South on Pines Blvd. My experiences with AAA have been sub-standard. Today, for instance, all I needed was for AAA to send someone to my home who could put AIR in my FLAT TIRE. I was told someone would arrive between "Now and 45 minutes". 48 minutes later I received a call from AAA and Becky said they didn't realize the person they contacted did not have AIR so I would have to wait another 30 minutes. I told Becky if they had just been honest to begin with and said they aren't sure their dispatcher knows what he/she is doing and might contact someone who can't perform the simple task of putting air in a tire, I would have called ALLSTATE and they would have been out already and I would have been on my way. I am tired of these same old stories from AAA. I once called and requested a flatbed. An hour or so later a truck pulled up with NO flatbed. Not a happy camper. read more

Went here for my passport pictures on 6/26/13. The lady who took the pictures was nice. Me and my brother needed to get our passports renewed so we did that. Plus my mom didn't need a passport since she gotten on couple years ago but since she is a AAA member then she got her's for free including us. Having AAA is a must. I locked my car keys in the car while at a workshop. Felt frustrated at the thought of waiting in the hot sun for help to arrive. Called AAA and although they estimated 45mins, Anthony Rivers was there in less than 10min. Took him about 2 mins to open the door with no damage to my vehicle. This review is for the AAA's Emergency Roadside Service. My son came out of his night class to a flat tire and to a big surprise...no spare tire! (I think it wasn't put back by the tire shop after the last flat many years ago.) My son called AAA and received an automated message that he could download and use the app for quicker service. Within 15 minutes of logging in, Alexis came to the rescue. He looked at the tire and recommended the car be towed as it was possible there was more than one hole. Thankfully, our tire shop was less than 2 miles away. He took my son and the car late at night to a well-lit, safe location. Alexis couldn't have been nicer or more helpful!! Super nice guy with a great sense of humor who did what was in my son's best interest. Thank you Alexis and AAA! read more

I've been a AAA member since 1995. I am a premier member which means I pay more than the standard membership. A few months ago I was stranded on a quiet Sunday night and called AAA. I was given a two hour time frame which seemed a bit unreasonable since it wasn't a busy weekday. After two hours I called to find out where my tow truck was and waited for the driver to call me back. When he called me back I found out they dispatched him to North Miami and I had to wait an additional 90 minutes for him to show up. I complained and AAA did not charge my account for the tow. Today my car broke down again. I called AAA and requested a flat bed tow truck since my car is so low to the ground. I was given a window of 3pm to 5:15pm. At 5:30pm the tow truck showed up and low and behold it was a standard tow truck and not the flat bed I requested. I called AAA back up and was questioned if I really ordered a flat bed. I reminded them they record the conversations so i suggested they replay the tape and hear me request the flat bed more than once. The Supervisor apologized and said a tow truck would be dispatched before 7:15pm tonight. Ughhhhh!!!!!! I can't believe I am being made to wait again. This is supposed to be a reputable company but yet they can't seem to get the most important part of their service right. My membership comes due on Dec 15th and for the first time in 19 years i WILL NOT be renewing with AAA. My mechanic actually has a driver who will tow me anywhere in broward county for a flat fee of $50.00. I never had a reason to do this before, but I can see AAA is not getting better they are getting worst. They are NOT the company they used to be.
