This review is mostly aimed at State Farm, not so much the agent(s) although they could have done…read moremuch better with follow-up. I have an older mobile home (1972) but lots of renovations since bought about 15 years ago and it's in good shape. In Oct. my current insurer notified me that they were discontinuing mobile home insurance and my contract would expire on Nov. 17. Called around and had several places working on estimates. Some insurers will not insure a mobile home built prior to 1976 because they were not at that time required to adhere to the current building codes (which do change from time to time). So On Oct 6, after giving this State Farm agent all the pertinent information about my place... year built, description, photos and upgrades I received a good price estimate from this agent I went and paid for it and signed papers. Then I contacted some of the other companies I had estimates from and told them I was going with State Farm not wanting to make them wait until the last minute. Weeks passed, I heard nothing. Didn't want to be a pest or seem to rush them and thought surely if there were a snag they would have contacted me before my current policy ran out. Finally on 12-11 I decided to call and see why I hadn't received anything directly from State Farm. The agent checked and told me they rejected my application due to the age and not being up to current code. I still hadn't received anything from State Farm, but the agent told me they are supposedly sending a letter out and a refund (after months). They knew the year built right from the start. It seems the agents there also should have followed up and really should have known in advance that this would happen. So now I am uninsured, due to their lack of follow-up and called one other agent who had done an estimate for me and they said they aren't sure if their company will consider me now. Back to square one except in the meanwhile I have no coverage. I should have known better, in the past (long ago) I had a similar issue with State Farm, and I also used to have auto insurance with them but they screwed me around with that also. If something should happen to my place in the meanwhile you can be sure there will be lawsuits. There is no excuse for leaving me this position now. I finally received a partial refund on 12-12-25 from which they deducted the time in between. STATE FARM should not be allowed to exist, I certainly will never use them again.

I was very pleased with the competitive rates paid and quality of service on each interaction with my agent Matt Jones. I would and have recommend them for any insurance needs. I have my home, auto and life insurance all with Matt at Nationwide. When I have a question, I get an answer and or results smoother than anywhere else. I have been in automotive sales for ten years and am no stranger to calling insurance companies. Some are nice, some are well priced; wilgus does both very well.

Given the lack of responsiveness and the absence of adequate support from your organization, I have made the decision to personally finance 100% of the cost to replace my roof and upgrade my screened patio to a glass enclosure -- expenses I reasonably expected my long-standing insurance coverage to address. Furthermore, I wish to formally notify you that, effective June 1st, I have secured both home and auto insurance coverage through another provider -- one that I am confident will deliver the level of protection and service my assets deserve. After two decades of membership, this was not a decision I made lightly; it is a direct consequence of the inadequate service I have received. While I do not intend to actively disparage your organization, I will not hesitate to share my honest experience should anyone seek my recommendation regarding Allstate's services. I trust you understand that customer loyalty is earned through consistent, reliable service -- something I regret to say I did not receive. Run from this place !!!…read more I had a really disappointing experience with Empire Auto Protect. I paid for coverage for about a year, expecting to use it once my manufacturer warranty expired. When I called to ask about activating/using my coverage at that point, the representative instead told me my policy would be canceled and that I wouldn't be refunded for the time I had already paid. There was no clear explanation upfront that the coverage wouldn't work the way I intended, and no effort to resolve the situation fairly. I feel like I paid for something I never actually got to use. If you're considering this company, make sure you fully understand when your coverage starts, how it works with existing warranties, and what their cancellation/refund policies are because my experience was not what I expected.
