COMPLETE SCUMBAGS. I went in to get a quote after being a THIRTY-ONE year member of AAA. I was treated like DIRT. Idiot "new member expert" who claimed to have worked there for "eight years" failed to be able to view my membership in their weak, feeble computer system. He actually used profanity towards me when he incompetently failed to be able to look me up in the AAA system. I HAD MY CARD WITH ME THAT STATED "MEMBER FOR 31 YEARS". These idiots LOST my business. We had auto, home and umbrella insurance from AAA this past year. It was the worst insurance experience we have had in our 69 years of living. The agent, Marvin Becker, made promises he never fulfilled including quotes for higher levels of insurance and different policies. Additionallly, we were rear ended and they declared the car totaled when we were still able to drive it 50 miles home. They low balled the value of the car and it took them 6 months to pay the claim. The highest level of efficiency they exhibited was in their billing. Needless to say, we are no longer with them and would discourage anyone from ever using them. They are low cost but you can forget about service if you have a questions much less a claim. We filed a complaint with the president of AAA New Mexico and shocker - never got a response! read more

Sloppy and unreliable is exactly what I expect from many businesses I'm Santa Fe based on experience but when I hhsventinsitnon the side of the road for two hours and STILL have no wrecker service, I have to submit a review. With their new "Virtual Assistant" to supposedly help, calling for help takes at least 20 minutes to an hour to talk to anyone. They keep trying to force you to use your phone for a link to do it online. Sounds great. But if you are not at the location of the vehicle, have questions, want to speak to someone you will have to wait on the phone for ages. It is slow. Painful. Cant stand it. read more

Pretty bad customer service, specifically Donna Lopez. All happy & super helpful when you need you get a policy and then when it comes time for any work never answers phone and sends an email "sorry, we've been so busy, you can call customer service." This is exactly what I experienced with my last "agent" at AAA. I called customer service and was helped expeditiously and got exactly what I needed. Steer clear of Donna Lopez if you go to this location. read more

AAA in Santa Fe is now on Zafrano Dr in Santa Fe, next to Mattress Firm. We decided to call them for quotes on both home and auto insurance. Peter Hussey was the agent who helped me. Because of our unusual situation, their underwriter was not able to accept us, but I was very impressed with Mr. Hussey throughout the whole process. They would have been the best price with the best coverage in town. Even after having to decline us, Mr. Hussey gave me good, solid advice on what to look for as I talked with other insurance companies. We finally went with State Farm, but I would highly recommend that anyone looking for insurance talk with Mr. Hussey at AAA to find out what their options are. read more

If I could give no stars I would. I just moved to Santa Fe a few months ago and wanted to transfer my car registration to New Mexico. I have been a AAA member for 32 years and have been very happy with the service I have received until now. The first day that I came into the office in Santa Fe I was met by Jazmin Chavez, who informed that the computers were down and that my car registration would not be completed that day. When I returned a few days later, Ms. Chavez informed me that she could not help me because she said I was supposed to return with all of the paperwork. I distinctly remember her saying that I did not have to. She was rude and acted like she could care less. When I returned a few days later with all of the paperwork, she then said that she couldn't help me because I had a previous NM registration (I did live in NM 20 years ago). She was defensive and dismissive, arrogant and rude. I immediately went to the Motor Vehicle Department and they said that it would not have mattered that I had a previous registration. They were kind, polite, helpful and efficient. I initially went to AAA to avoid the lines at the MVD, but now, I'd rather wait for someone who cares than the terrible customer service I experienced with Ms. Chavez. She obviously doesn't care about her job or about helping people. She is either in the wrong business or needs better guidance and needs to develop her people skills. I'm probably going to drive to Albuquerque in the future for my AAA needs. I am now questioning whether I should stay with AAA or find another service for my insurance and travel needs. read more
