I am appalled at the price gauging of this company on parts and labor!!! I wished we would have done our homework first, but we were in need of our oven. The part we needed was a "oven blower" that cools off the oven and a control pad which the tech initially called a "hall sensor". When I called AAA, Michelle told me the cost of the 2 parts was $134.00. They charged us almost $470.00 and the tech was done within 45 minutes. The cost of labor was $336.00 for 45 minutes???? What A rip off!!! Plus after doing further research, the cost of the parts were significantly less also. read more

I had a simple toilet flush valve replace a bath/shower faucet (handle) replaced on 5/9/2024. This company needs Federal & State investigation. The technician had NO idea of my plumbing background. I had Hand Surgery and could not utilize my Right hand. These people Charged myself over ($ 500.00) when the parts alone have market value 100.00 to 125.00 total cost. The tech goes out to his van and calls some to authorize the old Bate&Which formula. I am More Than Furious. So ( Help Me Hank ) local news reporter and Michigan Attorney General's office as well as Michigan Plummer's Association thus far are on watch. These people need to be thoroughly investigated. I needed a part for my dryer and called AAA Service to see if they had the part. They said it was not in stock but could order it for $65. I searched for the part online and found a small business in Minnesota that mailed the part to my house for $22 including tax and shipping!!! That is a 300% markup and waste of my time and gas to pickup the part from your store. People, do your research and don't get ripped off!!! read more

We had someone come out for a diagnostic on a malfunctioning Bosc refrigerator/freezer. The technician was pretty rude to my husband during the service call. My husband tried to explain what we were observing, asked if he could observe the repair (as an electrical engineer he has an interest in these things), and offered to assist if needed. I could overhear him cutting off my husband telling him "I need to concentrate" in a pretty rude tone. Fine, ok, but could you be a little nicer about it? He initially diagnosed it as a fixable problem with the duct system but said the needed part appeared to be unavailable at this time and he needed some time to check their system. We didn't hear back the next day despite us placing a call to them. We then missed a call from him the following day. He left a message saying he would try back. He didn't and we were unable to reach him that day. A weekend went by, and we called Monday morning and were able to speak with him. He changed his opinion without really explaining why, saying that it was a compressor/sealed system problem that AAA does not service. So after several days of waiting, we were back to square one. I have to say that despite that negative experience with the service itself, the customer service person I interacted with for scheduling and after the fact was incredibly kind and helpful, which is the reason for three stars. At least at the office level they seem to care about the customer experience. read more

Very good experience with AAA yesterday to fix my water line on my fridge. Timely and very professional (Kyle), diagnosed the issue quickly and fixed for a reasonable rate. In addition, I also had my A/C serviced together with my Comfort Club, again very courteous and professional associate (Alex) performed all services as expected. I've used AAA many times in the past from purchasing / installing a new A/C and furnace, repairs to Sub-Zero built in fridge, dryer, etc over time...always positive experiences. Overpriced. $129 bill for the 15 minutes it took to cut a 12 inch x 15 inch hole in my ceiling just to tell me the pipes weren't leaking and he doesn't fix drywall. Was going to charge $300 to fix my Moen sink handle. I instead watched a YouTube video and fixed it myself in 10 minutes with free parts I received from making one phone call to Moen. read more

I was dissatisfied with AAA and would not recommend them, not because of the quality of their techs, but because they didn't "do the right thing" after selling me a poor quality water heater. They installed -- at a cost of $1300 -- a Lochinvar hot water heater which failed after just 3 years. Despite selling me a water heater which was clearly flawed, AAA charged me another $622 for labor to replace the water heater (which was still under warranty). A company that cared about its customers would have waived the very expensive labor charge vs. charging another $622 to fix the problem. read more

They did not bring it and then after the tech looked at furnace; would not work at all? Magically, the tech found a replacement part and installed it. We've used AAA for a number of years both at our home and our rental property. Everyone is courteous and professional from the initial phone call to any needed repairs to the follow up. Their technicians were even able to extend the life of a beloved washer for at least 8 extra years (it lasted over 20!). My tankless water heater has no hot water at times. We told the service tech that fault code 10 was coming up. He looked inside the panel, turned the water on and off and could not repeat the fault. Since fault code 10 was coming up that meant there was something wrong with the exhaust area. The tech said he was scared to take off the exhaust and suggest for us to flush the system ourself. He charged us a service charge and left. I paid the service charge $129.95. I called back the company to let them know that nothing was resolved. We still have the issue. The company phone rep said we declined the system flush service. This is not true. The service rep suggest that we do it ourself. I want the problem fixed, not diagnosed. We already diagnosed the issue. I called this company to fix the problem. They were willing to come back and charge me again. The service fee needs to be waived since they came out before and did not perform any service. read more

1.) Called them pout last year to fix my Viking Stove, got a quote for parts. 2.) While service man was there he noticed I had a Sub Zero Refrigerator, opened the door and said "Wow, you have a bad compressor". Mind you, had some frost on back panel. He wrote me a quote for $8200.00. I was taken back. 3.) I waited and then called Dean's Heating and Cooling of Fowlerville. 4.) He came out and said that it was low on refrigerate or coolant. Filled it, its been fine now for one year. Not sure what this company thinks they are doing, but people check out things before jumping. This was really really misleading to say the least. The whole repair of the refrigerator cost me $150.00, and then I let him fix my stove as well. Seriously think about the image you are giving us, the public. It's not good. read more

After working on the drain...wanted to charge me an outrageous amount of money to replace the drain pipe. At first we were very excited that a tech would be able to come take a look at our broken dishwasher right away. However, we soon ran into problems. The tech was nice enough but quoted us for 2 repairs which included 4 parts even though we only needed/wanted the 1 repair (3 parts) as we were told my our home warranty that the other repair and part would not be covered. He insisted that we should fix both items even though it would still be fully functional with just the one repair that we were asking for. We called AAA and asked for a revised quote for just the one repair and they refused! We then asked them to have the tech (Brian) call us to discuss-she supposedly gave Brian the message but 24 hrs later we still hadn't heard from anyone. Another GREAT experience with AAA Service! I called with a problem with our dryer and they scheduled an appointment for the next day. We have called on this company almost a dozen times, and they have always been the friendliest and most courteous people that answer the phones and schedule your appointments and the nicest service technicians come to your home. Justin was able to diagnose the problem in minutes and get the dryer fixed and up and running in less then an hour. It would take far too much time out of my day to write down all the negative things that happened as a result of this company coming out to my home to fix my washing machine. Instead, I'll sum it up and say that my washing machine was far worse off after the "repair" man left. I gave them every opportunity to right their wrong but their management refused. In my opinion and from my experience, they are a dishonest company that I would not recommend to anyone. In this competitive day and age, there are far many other companies and options available to use. In my opinion, I would suggest you save yourself and go with a different company. Well it was July 2016 and HOT and my AC was running but not blowing cool air. I called a couple of local places and AAA was first available. It just so happens when the tech showed up, we went to High School together and I trusted him and his expertise that AAA Service Network employs.. I was told I needed a new AC unit (it was 16-17 years old) and then it was I needed a new furnace too (also 16-17 years old) so as a single woman I did not question it especially when I was told my furnace would be condemned. So over $8,000 later I have a new furnace and AC unit along with burned trim around my furnace and a furnace door that is so beat up and won't stay closed (its in my hallway to bedrooms) and my hot water heater had to be moved a little but the service manager did not feel the need to write that on my service order/receipt. I have left 3 messages for a manager/owner to call me and now I am sending a certified letter because when I called to speak with owner and get his/her name I was told by Asia the receptionist that she is not allowed to give out that information. I said, the face of your company does not want to be identified??? Sketchy. I do not recommend them just based on all of this crap and I still have no answers, but they were eager to collect my $8,000 ++ and haven't heard from them since. I had to call for service on Saturday January 19. Water on basement floor and clogged drains. Of course I have friends visiting from Seattle and hosting a dinner that night. I knew it would be an emergency service. I have used AAA before and friends have used them. I have no complaints about their service or technicians. They showed up on time. Took off toilet in hall on main floor. Ran electric snake and eliminated clog. Took maybe an hour if that. All good. But the bill was $703.00. I put on credit card. I expressed to technician I thought it excessive. No plumbing was fixed no other problems. Just clogged. I get the $150 service charge for a Saturday. I get the $150 charge to take off toilet. But $400 to run a snake? I did call the office Monday morning and expressed my concerns. I was told I was overcharged $40 and that would be credited. Again the service was good and so was technician. My guests could shower and my dinner was great. The only pain was to my wallet! read more

Be cautious....they are robbing people. We had our furnace go out on a Sunday so we called them at 8am and they told us someone would be out between 11am and 3pm. No one showed up, we called again and they sent someone out within 30 minutes. Our blower motor went out because it hadn't been cleaned. While he was down there looking at it he pulled two clumps of pet hair out and the motor started running again. He told us it would cost 1K to fix the furnace or it would cost 4K to replace the furnace. We called our normal HVAC guy who unfortunately was in Florida on vacation. He was in shock by the prices they were giving us. He told us he could fix the furnace for a fraction of the cost and that they are ripping us off. We told the AAA person we were going to seek other options and he told us to "stay warm" as he charged us $150 to show up to our house look at our furnace and try to rob us. I would advice people to be vary cautious, there are other companies in the Livingston County area who will complete the work at an appropriate cost. Don't let this company take advantage of you and charge you 4 times as much when it's not necessary. read more
