Nothin but 5 Stars this time. All automated too! How often does that happen? 3rd battery,3 different vehicles in 6 years! After a seven hour drive I pulled into my driveway in Port Aransas Texas. Unloaded my truck and hopped back in to head for a cruise on the beach. Nothing! It was obvious that the battery was fried. What luck though. It could have happened on the road but didn't. I have been dealing with AAA's claims department for 18 months after a not-at-fault accident totaled my truck. Their adjuster sent me emails loaded with all-caps threats, exclamation marks, and a "48-hour ultimatum" to pressure me into signing a lowball settlement -- while I was still in active medical treatment with no attorney. When I submitted new medical receipts and documentation of missed work, they responded by dropping their offer by $1,000 within three hours. But the real problem is bigger than bad customer service. While pressuring me to settle, AAA's system sent me an email with someone else's personally identifiable information attached to my claim, a completely unrelated person whose identity was pulled from their system and leaked directly to me. I reported this to AAA's Privacy Department and weeks later, still complete silence. No acknowledgment, no investigation, nothing. They will aggressively rush to close your file but won't lift a finger when their own system exposes someone's private information. read more

So I was invited by a former client to spend the week here. Well, what happened was that I was in Dallas working on something else. I bumped into her, and she asked me to have lunch with her at her job, which turned into a few more times. But the sweetest thing she showed me around the building and what a beautiful place it is. It's massive with two floors, North and South wings, and very clean lines. The people were nice, too, and I felt comfortable asking questions about what they do. I was pleasantly surprised that this company does a lot. But this place is like Fort Knox; you need a badge, and you have to tap the badge each time you go to another section. Fraudulent and shady AF! Don't provide your credit card information over the phone!!!! I paid up my membership recently over the phone, and a few weeks later, I started getting small fees charged on my card. It adds up fast!!! They are billing me for memberships all over the country, and when I call, it doesn't show up on my membership, b/c It's not my membership. AAA Texas Headquarters is corrupt AF! They are skimming! Check your credit cards/accounts. They found a way to steal from the company through charging individuals. I know I'm not the only one. First phone call-- they couldn't locate these charges, b/c it's attached to my card, not to the accounts, of which there are several different accounts. Second phone call-- tried a different "headquarters." Got to the bottom of it. Third phone call--back to headquarters-- shady AF! Refused to give me basic information, such as which states do you service. Refused to answer until I gave them all my identifying information. NO WAY! Refused to give me basic information about the Texas AAA headquarters, and made it a tit for tat--if that doesn't sound illegal, I don't know what is-- would not tell me any information, and kept demanding that I provide all my identifying personal information--I assume for one reason, to screw me over. Wouldn't be surprised if they cancelled my membership b/c of how nuts they are....we will see. I'll update if they do that. read more

Long-time AAA Premier customer here: There's such a difference between service here and other states: ie Nevada and California. Much like calling the DMV, the customer service agents speak from a position of perceived authority instead of helping their customers find solutions. I've had two consecutive negative experiences with Texas AAA office in a simple transfer matter. I would not recommend this place! read more

I just signed up with AAA services back in July 2025. I was only with them for four months. I canceled my insurance company because they was charged to me way too much money for my policy so I pay off from August to October and which I did. I was told that if I paid it before 8 November I should not owe anything until yesterday. I got a letter in the mail saying that I have to pay $20.99 for laspe of insurance so I said how could it be when I pay everything in full I shouldn't owe anything because I paid off when It needed to be pay off. But I should not owe nothing and now I'm told I have to pay for the policy because it would never lapse but the insurance is canceled but then they said it was active before I cancel it which makes no sense to me . so you have one company that tells you one thing but local AAA company is telling me something different. I feel that corporate and local AAA office are not communicating at all if you "on team leaders that supposedly be represent AAA " I feel like they're just doing that just to make money of people, plus that they was upset for the fact that I didn't want to give them my card information when I could go right to the local AAA office to make payment I don't understand what the issue is and I don't understand why they make it such a big deal about it but it still get paid . I'm giving them reviews because I don't like this services. I recommend people do your research on company like them. They take advantage of hard working people like myself so I'm glad that I cancel to this policy! I went back to my insurance that save me a whole lots 175 dollars less than what I was paying. 16 year member. Called to have a tire changed and we were refused service stating that the vehicle was a commercial vehicle. It is a Nissan Frontier that had two magnets on the doors advertising our business. They refused to help and left my wife and daughter STRANDED on the side of the road. Chirs Howard is an expert at stonewalling claims to deter rightful claims. He will threaten, stymie, and bully people until they go away. I was rearended by AAA customer (insured). It has been 282 days since the accident. Work on my car has not started. I agreed to take the car to any "in-network" provider for the estimate and the work - none of them would do it. AA asked me to arrange for my own estimate - I did that. I was told if I sued your insured, AAA would take my car through a process called 3rd party evaluation. I was also told if I pursued medical that AAA would "never talk to me again" about getting my car fixed. As such. I dropped it. I took my car to the shop AAA requested in May. The shop found cost missed underestimated on the estimate. Now I am being asked to go get the needed subcontracting estimate for the work. I have a job. I have done things AAA should be doing. I have done everything AAA has asked. My patience and accommodation met by bullying to drop medical support and threats to take my car. The abuse of control through has been exhausting. I am not sure some of this is even compliant. read more

I called on February 27th 2025 to get my Chevy Silverado 2023 tow to Young Chevrolet dealership. Only to get there and find out that while my truck is being towed the cap to my gas tank was missing I used to think that Triple-A was the best people to call now I'm not so sure I keep getting it running around triple A contracts out a tow for you I call a tow for you they tell me to call triple A I called triple A they tell me to call toll for you there's a liability claim in here somewhere and I'm about to Lawyerup. read more

Spoke with a representative who ended up canceling both accounts which included the account I had just set up for my father, after asking just a simple question. Where did the confusion come about? She advised to keep one account over the other and I took her advice; next thing I know, everything was canceled before I got off of the call. I didn't find out about it until a week later, my 78 year old father got stranded at a gas station in a desert town with a dog where the temp was over 106'F. The recording was reviewed and action was finally taken to rectify it. Mistakes are what they are but some mistakes can truly hurt people. We had to resort to alternative options to immediately get out of that situation. Seems like service has really gotten worse throughout the 25 years I have been with them. By the way, your new phone reps make it way to easy to cancel an account especially from a customer who has been with them for 25 years. No muss, no fuss. I wish it was that easy when I try to cancel cable services and, for the life of me, lawn services?!? (didn't see that one coming). But AAA, really made this such a seamless process. AAA Texas has become a worthless company when it comes to assisting a client with anything automobile related. Most recently I had a battery go dead. I called in, you can't get anyone on the phone. They force you to do text messaging. I waited for a text from the tow company with an ETA for 45 minutes, nothing. I called back in, could never get anyone on the phone after waiting on hold for 13 minutes. I gave up and called a locally based service. They showed up in 15 minutes. Had to pay, but I might still be waiting for AAA. I have been a member for over 30 years. No more. They seem more interested in selling insurance and the like. Just forget these people read more

I have renters insurance and it's a big headache even getting to pay for the hotel fees. They don't realize that once you're out of your home you have to spend way more money to eat and just to travel back and forth to work and school. Allen Meier is terrible with communicating. There is zero communication whatsoever if you exceed the number of service calls for your membership. I had the premium with RV and added my son. Apparently, I could get 4 service calls per year and him 2. I used one. He ended up using 2 extra, but I received no notification when that happened. I just got a bill weeks after the fact with no details about when the service calls were made or what they were for. I confirmed with my son that he had the service calls. So, I paid the bill. I got another bill 2 weeks later with additional charges for 2 other service calls, with a threat to turn my bill over to collections (I have a perfect credit score and have NEVER not paid I bill that I rightly owe). I tried to log into my account and it's deactivated and they cancelled my membership (and this turned out to have happened before I made a road trip pulling my travel trailer from TX to AZ). I called them and those service calls theoretically occurred before I paid the other bill, so why weren't they included? And, they told me 2 of the service calls were on the same day. My biggest concern is that you receive no notification whatsoever that you have exceeded the plan's service calls. They have my phone number, address, email address, etc. I was able to finally reach a customer service agent, who was very, very helpful. It turns out they should have cancelled one of the service calls that happened on the same day. And, one of the calls was for a new battery that had been tested a few days before. That was a battery installed by AAA 3 years prior that should have been covered under warranty. So, the customer service agent was a very helpful and hopefully things are resolved after her supervisor's approval. However, again, they should not have cancelled my membership without reaching out beyond USPS and they should be notifying customers when they've reached their service call limit. I truly could have been stuck in a terrible, expensive situation if I had encountered problems on my trip with my RV. And, yes, I am considering an alternative roadside assistance membership. read more

I am an AAA Texas member. I would not recommend buying any type of event tickets from them unless it's the day of the event. I bought Busch Gardens for Tampa tickets on 10/4/2024; not knowing Hurricane Milton since our vacation was going to be 10/14/2024. The hotel we were doing to stay at didn't have power so I was able to cancel everything that I prepaid for directly through Busch Gardens even though they say the service tickets are non-refundable. I bought 3 directly from AAA so they said I had to contact them for a refund. The AAA rep said they would contact Busch Gardens so I'm thankful because I know that BG had already refunded me. Fast forward a week and AAA never got back to me so I followed up and the rep said that my request was denied. They never reached out because I had the ticket number that BG refunded. Only use them the day of your event, if you prepay and a hurricane hits; they will not give you your money back. read more

I have been a member of AAA for 20 years and used them only once before about 9 years ago. A few weeks ago I was traveling between Anson, Texas and Breckenridge, Texas when I had a blowout. I changed the tire but my spare only had 30 psi (normal for the tire is 80 psi). I limped into Albany, Tx at 10:00. All I needed was air. All of the service stations were closed or had no air compressor. Called AAA. Sat on hold for 25 minutes and then was told it would be 47 minutes for someone to arrive. Waited an hour. Called them back and was hold for another 10 minutes and finally talked to someone. She put me on hold for another 15 minutes or so and then another person got on the line and asked me what the problem was. I told her and she contacted the dispatcher. After another 5 minutes she came back on and informed me the tow company they had called declined the job. I guess i would have sat there forever if I had not called. I limped on into Breckenridge at 12:45 AM on my own doing 30 mph. The one @#$&( time I needed AAA they could not perform. I canceled my membership the next day. This is the first review I have made but am making it my hobby to notify as many sources that I can to report what a scam this is read more

It pains me to write this review. I have been with AAA for over 3yrs. I signed up for their auto insurance online for a premium of $1,216 for a year on April 19, 2022. I paid in full (something I will never do again). Got a call a week later from them saying they have adjusted my new premium to $2,600! I told them that is not what the original agreement was. They canceled my insurance and charge me $268 for some BS "SHORT RATE FEE" This is a classic case of bet and switch. All my family members will cancel their AAA insurance as well. This company is not worth what they are charging. You get a better rate from GEICO and other insurance companies. I will never use their service nor recommend them to any living soul.
