Worst vet I have ever been to was a female vet at Aadobe. The results were fatal. Dr Singh was not there. I had taken my dog to Dr Singh years ago and thought he was great. But on the day I am complaining about a female vet was there. There is no possibility for her to have been meaner and more uncommunicative. She did not explain anything to me in fact she was clearly enjoying the pain she was causing me. She also told me that she "would be HAPPY to put my cat down" if I did not choose to have my cat "hospitalized." I am a litigation attorney and as such I am a human tape recorder so those are her exact words. The rest is too vile a story for me to bear to describe in greater detail but I will be following up. My advice for now STAY AWAY unless you have an appointment with Dr Singh only. As I relive the repugnant completely unwarranted cruelty to my sweet baby who suffered a horrible death and hate filled sneers, eye rolling and smirks directed towards me my heart pounds. It was a nightmare but it's a nightmare I cannot wake up from. The vet is either a sadist or I was the victim of a hate crime. When I asked for the records my pain was even greater because the report indicates that both fluids and tests were recommended and keeping my cat overnight for observation but that I turned down all treatment when they quoted the price. LIES,LIEs and more LIES. Not one word is true so: 1) They chose to scare me for the fun of it 2) They refused to answer me at all when I tried to get particulars and I did tell the vet tech that I wanted to go forward with treatment ( my Cat was than painfully killed in front of my eyes) and they dared DARED to say I turned down treatment because of price. I never asked or was told price. These two women the vet and vet tech are evil and unfit for their professions. read more

I booked an appointment to do bloodwork for a dog for surgery that they say they can't perform. I wasted over two hours of my day to be told by the vet that they do not spay dogs over 50 pounds. So if your dog is over 50 pounds go else where. Why they waited for me to come in to be told they can't do the surgery I have no idea so disappointed in them. read more

Let's talk about this veterinarian Aadobe Pet Hospital on Forest ave I just took my cat there for his nails to be trimmed and to be chipped .He been there before for his shots, sprayed and once a month for his nails to be clipped never a problem TODAY the "vet technician LISA " took care of him you would think the way he (my cat) was screaming crying, moning,hissing she was cutting him open to find out all that screaming was nothing to do with the chipping they said it was when she was cutting his nails .It was so bad my son had to go outside...And her vocabulary yelling at my cat so unprofessional that we heard it all.. I started yelling how I would NEVER ever come here again and her response was "who cares " And like a coward she hid in a room and the poor reception girls were getting it from me. I've been to Aadobe Animal Hospital 5 times with my new puppy. Dr. Singh and all of the employees have been incredibly professional, skilled, kind and caring. My puppy actually loves being there, which is so helpful. Each time Dr. Singh listens to any concerns I have and asks me if I have any questions. If he notices anything that needs to be done, he shows and explains to me why, and takes care of it at the appointment. The prices are reasonable and I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes from my scheduled appointment time. Dr. Singh and his staff are warm and friendly. They seem to be very attentive to the animals needs. All of which handle the animals with care. The wait time is pretty quick in his office. They have flexible hours to meet customer's schedules. This is the 2nd time I've gone to Aadobe Animal Hospital. However, this time I was left with a bad taste in my mouth due to the bait and switch practice. I came in for the same procedure as the first time, and prior to scheduling my return visit to get the procedure done on my dog. I confirmed the price for the procedure verbally with one of his doctors & veterinary assistant. Specifically asking if everything we discussed would be included in the price. Otherwise, I would have weighed out my options with other local vets/postponing it for another date. When it came time to pay. The bill was $40 more then agreed price. Growing more and more concerned about my ailing cat and not feeling her condition warranted emergency care, I called Aadobe Animal Hospital desperate for an appointment. They managed to fit us in within an hour of my call. The staff was welcoming and kind, and Dr. Singh was equally accomodating and soft spoken. His assessment was gentle and thorough. He made sure she was hydrated and full bellied, and I left much more at ease than when I walked in... He provided us with medication, supplements, and even food! Everything I could possibly need to set my cat back on the road to recovery. They were also kind enough to trim her nails! Veterinary care is pricey when lab tests are involved, but this visit still cost less than a visit to another Veterinary practice on the other side of the island. First time last time. Called Aadobe to get my cat neutered and for him to get shots. I was quoted a price. I told asked them if since this was all being done in one shot could they adjust. Was put on hold and they came back with a price. I wrote price and time down when on the phone with them, Time comes I drop my cat off. Came back hours later to settle the bill Was told the price was nearly double than what agreed on. I told them that this was not the price quoted on the phone. The receptionist got someone from the back who claims it was her I Had spoken with on the phone. ( who I felt was rather rude) She denied giving me that price which I asked several times during my making of the appointment. I was even told I was lucky because it was still lower than what they usually charge. I was like how is that being lucky when you double the amount you quoted. My advice when dealing with these people is to get the charges up front before you leave your animal in writing. So this way it will not be doubled or at least you'll have proof. I dealt with numerous vets around the country and never had this happen before. Actually never had this happen before dealing with any business. I had no choice but to pay the extra charges to get my cat back. read more

Not a fan. (Based on being a foster, and not regular customer) Because I volunteer with a rescue, any animal I fostered had to be brought to this particular office. I will say, my experience was probably vastly different than perhaps "paying customers" have had, or will have. I do think, as a foster, I was treated differently than regular customers...not always for the best. Off the bat, I was not overall happy with my experience. The saving grace was Dr. Singh, his wife, and one of the vet technicians that I interacted with many times. Over time, my views on that diminished greatly, until I genuinely dreaded going there or having to call for any reason. I eventually started paying out of pocket to go to my vet instead of going here. Hours: The hours for this place aren't great. I don't know how anyone who has a job can make it to this place. It closes at 5/530 and opens at 9. I had to take off work countless times just to make it. How do you not have late hours on even one night for your clients? Front desk: The main woman who normally picks up the phone & is the first person you are "greeted" by, is not the nicest. No matter how nice I was, she always seemed miserable. She never smiled. Always acted like I was bothering her & often didn't even acknowledge me. I could stand there for 5 minutes before she'd look over and say "Can I help you?" About 8 fosters later, I had a particularly sick one. Supposedly, she told the rescue I was "there too much". Excuse me?! What am I suppose to do when an animal gets sick? If they were upset with the rescue costing them too much $, that is fine, but don't make me feel awkward for trying to do my best for my fosters. Doctors: Not sure of her name, but the vet tech with super long hair is great. She was always sweet, informative and made me feel comfortable. She knew me when I came in and helped me always. Dr. Singh (the woman) was also very nice and I enjoyed her a lot although only had the pleasure of seeing her a few times. Dr. Singh (the man) was really impressive as well, at first. After meeting him, I was willing to deal with the long wait times (again, I think it was b/c I was a foster that I waited longer than others normally would) and grouchy staff members. He initially helped me with all my fosters, was great at explaining things and would even show me how to do things if I was unsure. If it was medication, he'd do a dose right there for me to start me off. As I got more into the fosters, this accommodations started to fade, especially with one particularly sick foster. Experience: Sadly, one foster kept getting URI's & eye infections. He came to me with one, got another after being neutered, and got another one after an adoption event along with worms. In between these times, his eye would get really bad. Turned out that although he did have URIs, it was triggered by reoccurring feline herpes that was never brought up to me by this vet. Even having done what the Dr showed me, the eye infections would come back well after the URI was gone, or stay until he'd get another URI. The rescue would make me appointments when he'd get sick & with each one, their demeanor changed. At one point, my visits were down to 3 minutes. He'd give him the same meds he's been on & walk out. I'd ask "what can I do, what am I doing wrong, do u have suggestions"...and he'd say, 'sometimes it doesn't fully go away'. He was on the same antibiotics for 3 weeks one time yet it was my fault he wasn't better? Maybe try switching the meds that obviously were not working. I was often told to come back for rechecks & when I would, It was said 'I was there too much' even though it was at their request. One of the last visits, the Dr. said 'if you were doing this right his infection would be better by now'. He made me feel so crappy, like I was incompetent. Little did I know, he wasn't better b/c herpes is a lifetime illness. I have had many other sick fosters, and handled them fine, even an amputation! He was just sickly not b/c of me, but b/c he had herpes brought on by stress which was never diagnosed until brought to my own vet who I paid to go see. After he made me feel like sh$t, the rescue told me the vet allegedly said I was there too much & couldn't care correctly for the animal. My own vet diagnosed him with herpes which were then handled appropriately. He was adopted out and guess what, he still gets the infections when stressed out! Further confirmation that I was doing my due diligence. Bottom Line: If you are a paying customer, you will probably get the care and attention you and your animal deserve. As a foster, I honestly believe the Rescue probably owed the vet more money than they had, and the vets office was rightfully sick of giving services for free. As much as that's understood, don't take it out on the foster or the animal. It's just unprofessional. read more

Thank Goodness for Aadobe animal hospital. Without Dr. Singh my Buddy boy would be dead. I was called by a friend to help a kitten who had been struck by a truck. When I brought him in to Aadobe they told me that the kitten could make it. They rid him of fleas that he was covered from head to toe with by bathing him. With their TLC , medications and advise Bud has made it. He couldn't walk when I brought him in but now he's healthy and running. Thanks to the great staff and expertise I have a very healthy strong cat. Dr Singh didn't rush to put him to sleep which I originally thought I would have to do. This is only one of the many great results from going to Dr Singh. I might add that this cat was a rescue. The staff and Dr treated him like he was one of their own. read more

I was getting ready to adopt an animal I had been fostering. So when I noticed she was sick I took her to my vet in NJ as I wanted to take care of the costs and not get the rescue involved. The vet near me out so much stress on the situation, taking their time and making her come back 4 times in 1 week, racking up 1500 in bill, before trying to keep her for a few days for another 1500. Finally I called the rescue, desperate for help and the told me to visit ADDOBE. My foster was sick beyond repair and we had to put her down, but Dr.Singh and his staff were so compassionate and thorough. I was at peace with the situation. I am now taking my cats from NJ to Staten Island for their vet visits. read more

Aadobe Animal Hospital gave excellent care to my foster cat Ginger that without their help she would have not lived many years after her diagnosis of mouth cancer. Ginger was able to live those years happily and pain free even with this terrible illness, even at the end their staff did not want to give up on her. Aadobe clinic is are also extremely honest with you about your pets medical conditions, not making you spend money that will not end up in benefiting the animal in the long run. I used Adobe Animal Clinic to have my two male cats neutered they were rescue cats and i was able to get low cost neutering certificates which this clinic accepts. Well the office is big and clean the staff was friendly and helpful and Dr Singe was warm and gentle my cats came home a little sleepy but very happy and by the next morning they were their happy playful selves! I love this office! Dr. Singh is a wonderful, sweet man with love and compassion for animals. He has been taken care of my cat for years. I just added a new addition to my family, unfortunately she came to me sick from a rescue agency. The office staff understood that this was an emergency and gave me an appointment with no problem. We are still in the middle of making her better but at least I can sleep tonight after seeing the good doctor!! Just hours after her visit I already see a improvement in her. And I know in a few days she will be up and jumping around. All of Dr. Singh employees are wonderful and kind. They all understand that your pets are part of your family. This is a small and personal office. You get to know everyone and see the same smiling faces when ever you come. That is something I like in a doctor's office of any kind. Warm and very friendly staff. I recently adopted a 5-month old kitten and took her to another vet close by for her rabies shots when I brought her home. I didn't like the chaotic environment there and also she quite literally flipped out. I decided to bring her to Aadobe for her spay and I am relieved I did. While she *hates* the vet, I was very reassured by Dr. Singh and the warm staff and felt she was in good hands when I had to leave her for the spay surgery. The pricing was phenomenal for check up, spay, FHV test, antibiotics and, they groomed her nails since it was our first visit.
