This was my first time getting my eyebrows done since moving from the bay area (I live in Monterey). My eyebrows are my pride and joy so they need to look good all the time lol. Anyways so I found this place since I couldn't find any in Monterey. When I got there I waited about 10-15 minutes before she got to me. I think she was a little rough, but maybe I'm just sensitive. She also made them a little more thin than I like, but ill just tell her next time to make leave them a little thicker. But overall I do like they way my eyebrows look and I really like that she was extremely thorough. She checked over each eyebrow like 5 times to make sure they looked right. The price is also really good, $9 is cheap. I was paying $12 at my old threading place in the bay area. I'm a fan and I will be back later this month. read more

My first time with this technique, and the lady there did a fantastic job on my brows. I am still amazed at how the thread is used and how fast it was. I wasn't planning on it but she asked if I'd like the upper lip and I figured, what the heck.. But yow! I told her she could give customers a shot of tequila first! I've got wiry eyebrow hair, and they grow nonstop. They even sprout out as far down as right above my eyelid. So when I just cannot keep up all the strays and want them cleaned up, this is where I go. I've read past review about there being another "younger" person here. I've been going to the Marina salon for over a year and have never seen anyone else except the "older" lady. She doesn't speak much. Hence why I don't know her name. But she knows what she's doing. My brows are always beautiful when she's done, having tamed even the straggly ones that I can't put up with. She also does upper lip and chin. This is definitely the way to get rid of the fuzzies cuz wax would always irritate me. Come earlier in the day cuz there can be a line. She's fairly quick, but you never know how long you'll be waiting. read more

I've been to a lot of places to get my eyebrows done and none of them have really done it. One of my eyebrows is slightly more arched than the other and no one around this area could make my eyebrows look the same! Alas, I found Aakar brow designs and i fell in love instantly! The first time i went there she left my brows slightly thicker than i usually like so i asked her to thin them out a little and arch them a little more and she did exactly that. My eyebrows are completely ruined and so is my self esteem. I almost cried leaving this place because my eyebrows have no shape and are extremely thin compare to my thick and full eyebrows which had taken me months to achieve. I weep every time I fill in my eyebrows because not even that helps me regain my confidence. She completely ruined them. She was very quick, but very precise with the thread. I am a very picky client when it comes to my brows. Since after turning 40 waxing brows becomes too "dangerous," I have recently turned to threading. Ms. Krishna is SUPERB at what she does. She is very professional and doesn't charge an arm and a leg :) I have never been taken care of by anyone else but Ms. Krishna. Thus, I can't say if the other lady is good or not. I do, however, recommend anyone to go to the salon and see Ms. Krishna. Tell her what you want (better yet - bring a picture) and ask for her recommendations. Not all natural assets can allow you to do what is on the picture. In my opinion Ms. Krishna's advice can be trusted. I wish I could taker her with me, since I have to move from the area soon and get on a rough rode of finding someone as good as she is!!! read more

Krishna was very flexible, taking me for an eyebrow threading. It's helpful to be clear about the look you desire (whether you want them trimmed, thin, thick or arched). The place is really simple and at the end of the day the most important thing is how you look leaving the salon. It's one of the best eyebrow places I've ever tried.
