Ricardo was so lovely, touring us around and showing off the many accommodations (coffee, umbrellas, living room, etc). He gave us many recs and we felt confident exploring. Bob's breakfasts were unreal and he was so friendly and funny. We stayed in the Schuyler room which is dog friendly as it has an additional separate entrance. Note all of the rooms are pretty dim. We spent the 4th of July weekend in the picturesque pleasures of New Hope, Pa. This quaint little village is banked by the Delaware River and offers a bounty of dining, shopping and antiquing opportunities. We had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Aaron Burr House Bed and Breakfast. The location is an ideally situated property just steps from all of the action and epitomizes what one imagines as a quintessential north eastern B&B. This historic home is impeccably maintained and appointed and indulges guests with cozy, warm and inviting spaces. We stayed in the beautiful Schuyler room which offered a super comfortable 4-post bed, gorgeous antique furniture, a fireplace, a sweet little seating nook next to the bay windows with views of the quaint neighborhood and a door to the outside that would be perfect for guests accompanied by a pet. The stay comes with daily breakfast, at 9AM, which is served in the communal dining area. The meals are expertly prepared by Ricardo Gonzalez, the innkeeper, and are truly a beautiful way to start the day. Ricardo is not serving up your average fare. We were treated to a delicious oatmeal bar with a variety of delectable toppings, gorgeous banana bread french toast with fresh whip and berries, spinach quiche, sausage, poached apples with warm, silky caramel, luscious fruit options and even a homemade yogurt with layers of granola and honey. All homemade and every bite better than the last! Ricardo is much more than a typical innkeeper, he embodies the warmth and grace that you immediately feel upon entering the inn. We were spoiled with a bit of a tour of this landmark site and intrigued by his stories about local history, the amazing decor/antiques, his background and he even offered some great tips for activities and shops to visit in the area. He made this experience so much more special in every way! We stayed in this bed & breakfast during our road-trip through Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. Used to live in Lamberville NJ, right across the river, so familar with the area. Very nice area. The B&B was clean and nicely decorated. Loved the host and the nice breakfast. Walking around brought back fond memories of my younger days; used to ride my stand-up jet ski on the river. Definitely will come back if I get a chance. really 3.5 Stars Aaron Burr house is a charming, cozy historical BB that is well managed and hospitable. Ricardo is the manger who will welcome and seek to meet needs. Breakfast is at 9am - yummy delights on the menu. Not quite healthy eating - a bread pudding entree was the main item the 2nd day - so sweet couldn't eat it all. The beginning dish of yogurt and oatmeal - 1st and 2nd days - with fruit was very good. Breakfast is a communal affair with a large table and luckily 2 smaller tables had been set up. I'm not a fan of communal eating with people I don't know. The problem with this BB is it is on the main well traffic road coming into New Hope. The traffic is severe late afternoon and evenings and impacts noise comfort. Similarly this is a colonial/historic home with thin walls, original doors that are thin and have 1/8-1/4 inch space around then so that the creaks, steps & voices of other guests impact serenity of the bedrooms and aware that what we said/did in the room was being echoed as well. Thus my review is less than a 5. Short walk to downtown charming New Hope. read more

We stayed at ABH last weekend and it was beyond what I expected. We made last minute reservations so we had to change rooms between the first and second night. It was no problem and we got to experience two completely different vibes. Ricardo is the house manager and he is exceptional. He made the room change easy. He switched our things while we were out for the day. Ricardo cooks, gets rooms ready and entertains. He is what makes the ABH an awesome experience. Breakfast is served in a large dining room at 9 AM. It was interesting to talk with the other guests over a delicious breakfast. The coffee is delicious and the breakfast consists of small servings of homemade treats such as yogurt with granola, pumpkin bread, sausage, quiches. There was a different breakfast each day. The beds are ultra comfortable and the rooms are clean. The ABH is conveniently located in walking distance of downtown NewHope. We really enjoyed our stay and will go back again read more

I spent one night at the Aaron Burr House while attending my friends' engagement party in New Hope. Super friendly staff; comfy, tasteful historical atmosphere; easy walk; and I usually skip breakfast but the food was so good that I actually ate. I saw nothing paranormal, but I did see a Bald Eagle flying through the rain on my ride home shortly after leaving. Lovely rooms, beautiful furniture, very nice decor, including some fun nods to Aaron Burr, Hamilton, & the revolution & birth of our country. If i weren't on a trip with friends, I would've loved to pick up one of the books and sat on the cozy couch to read. My friends and I had the top floor to ourselves, and Lisa went to a lot of trouble to make sure we were comfortable. We truly appreciated her excellent care. And wow can she cook. We had the most delicious breakfast, and she really caters to everyone. She made regular and gluten free blueberry and peach pancakes (incredible!!), bacon, granola & fruit, the most delicious cinnamon crumb cake I've ever had, and the coffee was REALLY good. My friends and I had the best time staying at the Aaron Burr House this past weekend. From the minute we arrived, Lisa made us feel welcomed and at home. She is incredibly hospitable and had wonderful stories she shared with us. She made delicious breakfasts (to die for!) in the morning and had snacks for us throughout the day. We were able to reserve a room for one night, even though the web site indicated two were required. The proprietress indicated that at the end of the season, she makes exceptions. The location of this attractive property is very convenient to walking through the charming towns of New Hope, PA and Lambertville, NJ. The day of our arrival, we were notified via text that the front door would be open as would the door to our room, the key left on a dresser. We were also informed that there were snacks and an open bar in the dining room. We did avail ourselves of a few snacks. They consisted of pieces of a tart and muffins. They were exceptionally good. Our room was extremely large and very nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable. The only drawback was the very loud air conditioner in the window. We also asked for two additional pillows and were assured they would arrive but did not. After a follow up and still no pillows, we wondered if perhaps they were delivered to another room. The breakfast in the morning was spectacular. There was banana bread with chocolate chips and walnuts, peach brûlée, chicken sausage, fresh fruit, blueberry pancakes, coffee, teas and juice. One more nicety would have been if coffee had been available earlier in the morning. I awoke at 6 a.m and was surprised there was no coffee in the dining room. I was able to get my fix by walking to Dunkin Donuts a few blocks away. There was a Starbucks on the other side of the street from Dunkin. Coffee and hot water for tea did not appear until around 8:30, breakfast served to all at 9 a.m. read more

We had a delightful stay at the Aaron Burr House. The room we stayed in was extremely clean, very cozy, and had WiFi and a flatscreen TV to boot. The proprietors at the Wedgewood Inn (which owns and operates Aaron Burr) are wonderful people. We had breakfast there the next morning, and it was delicious. It's also a huge plus that the Inn is so close to downtown New Hope (about a 5 minute walk). Wholeheartedly recommend staying here. read more

We will be returning for a second time to the Aaron Burr House over the Columbus Day weekend. Our first experience last year was delightful. We were in room A1 the highlight of which was the wood burning fireplace! It added to the ambiance and coziness of the room. The hosts were extremely welcoming without being overbearing. The breakfast was delightful and the young lady who oversaw it was so pleasant and helpful. The location to the heart of New Hope was a treat. We enjoyed the tour of the house in town with guides so knowledgeable about the history of New Hope. We are hoping this time to take a ride on the railroad as the station is within easy walking distance.We enjoy the great restaurants nearby such as the Lambertville Station and Antons at the Swan. It is likely that this will be a yearly fall experience for us. read more
