Upon arrival the receptionist immediately started saying we couldn't be seen because of an unpaid balance from the hospital and it all had to be paid. I was able to pay some on the balance and be seen. Asked the doctor for help with swallowing issues and he said 'you will just have to go to vandy or something' No referral no nothing. Called to get an appointment today because pulminary said we can start towards removing trach. They said no your balance has been turned over to collections and you can't be seen. So I have no way of getting care because nobody else will see me. I want to cry.I hope nobody has to experience this kind of treatment
