Aaron's Overhead Doors and Joe the Technician were great. Joe identified a garage door install issue that was done by the supplier at the time the house was built which would in the end damage the garage door opener we bought from Aaron's. The poor garage door install would also in the long term lead to damages to the door as well. Without Joe pointing this out we would incur unplanned expenses in the future. We reached out to the garage door installer to address the issue, something they didn't want to do as the warranty had expired. They did make some minor adjustments, but only time will tell if it will do the job. At least Joe and Aaron's pointed out the issue. Matt and Buford did a great job installing the new garage door at my house. Buford arrived in timely manner and called me 30' before his arrival. I also got text message to inform the team is on the way. The text message system of the company is very responsive. It's a highlight for me that the company communicate in text message as well as in phone call (comparing to other service who insist on phone call only) since messaging is my preferred method of communication. Buford and Matt explained the process and answered all of my questions. They listened to and addressed my concern with properly. They did well in adjusting the new garage door to fit my house's wall frame. They also cleaned up and hauled away the all old garage door and parts before leaving. All in all, excellent performance. Aaron Overhead Door worked on my garage door before so it's great to know they still maintain the quality in their work. The only small issue I had was the limit of their inventory. I was told that there's only one option in stock for the garage door size of my house. My garage is the normal 2 doors residential type. The inspector said if I want to see more options, the wait might be 16 weeks which is a very long time. So it feels like there's no other choice. Awesome customer service... My Garage door spring (Wayne Dalton) had broke last week.. Not knowing the same, I tried to keep closing the garage.. lesson learnt.. Finally the Genie 2024 failed.. Matt came over as per the scheduled appointment time, checked the system and gave me a quote for replacing the springs and the opener, and explained the pros and cons of going with a particular opener/spring vs another.. Gave me a follow up appointment for the installation within 2 days based on my availability. Again came on time for the second appointment and installed the opener and the torsion springs within 2 hours and also explained all the details and what needs to be done to take care of the same as to routing maintenance of the springs.. They got us a great price that was well below Lowe's and Home Depot and Costco. They not only beat there prices by 1000's, but also got the door install within days. The door was in stock but to get it installed in days was not possible with any other company. We called; they showed up that day. The others couldn't even get there within the week. The install took about three hours. Removed old door and hung new supports and the door all within the three hour window. We had the overhead spring suddenly break in our garage. When we were unable to contact our previous garage door man, we took a chance on Aaron Overhead Doors as they served our area and had good reviews. I had a few concerns up front and was pleasantly surprised to hear from the owner personally to make sure I had all my questions answered before they came out. The technician who came out, Taylor, was on time, communicated what time he would arrive that day and the office sent a picture of him to let us know in advance who to expect. He was wearing his covid mask the entire visit. Taylor inspected the door and gave us a few options for repair, basically a good - better - best scenario. After considering the repair, we approached him about replacing our old garage door opener system as well, and he went over our options. We found the price acceptable and were surprised he had everything needed to install a new system right then and there. We got the Genie belt drive system and wow, it is incredibly quiet! Wasn't thrilled with this company. I didn't use them for my repair, but was disappointed how they tried to conceal a $129 charge. I called about a garage door repair and explained the problem and what caused it thinking they could at least give a ballpark figure. There was no estimate, but the lady on the phone was kind enough to make a same day appointment for me. She let me know someone would be out to tune-up my garage door and provide a quote when he was on-site. It took a few questions to find out the tune-up alone would cost $129 regardless of if I chose to have them repair the door or not. I asked more questions and she confirmed the $129 was separate from any repair cost I would be quoted. I ended up going with a different company who was a lot more honest in the way they work with customers and ended up paying less than what it costs for an unsolicited tune-up from here. Update: I appreciate the company responding, but as I mentioned, I did not end up going with this company so my name would not be in the database under any completed job. The lady I spoke to was anything but upfront about the cost. I had only asked for a repair quote and she proceeded to book a tune-up appointment. I needed new garage door openers, I spoke with the owner Ryan, we discussed options and settled on the Liftmaster WLED. 3 days later one of the technicians, Matt, was at my house installing my openers. Everyone was knowledgeable, professional and awesome. After the install, Matt made sure all of my keypads, openers and wifi options were set up. John came out and presented a thorough education on the four types of construction for garage doors. The visit included taking pictures of our current situation and simulating a mock up of doors so we could see how our choice would look before installation. The visit lasted about 30 min and ended with a quote for replacing our 2 doors including all brackets and springs. We chose to keep our current openers as they were only about a year old. Installation was scheduled for a week after the first visit and I received both an email reminder and phone call confirming timing. Chuck, our installer, arrived at 10:30 am and was finished with removing the old doors and installing the new around 3:30 pm the same day. By Monday morning we had an appointment locked up for that afternoon. Matt came out diagnosed the problem, showed me what had happened and fixed it. My garage door is so old but now it is running smooth and less than 24 hours later after it went down. Communication was great and the service was even better. After explaining everything he swapped out the springs as well as a couple of bent brackets that had been installed incorrectly (no extra charge). Then he inspected all the hardware, reinstalling some parts that weren't done right and lubricating where needed. The tech clearly knew what he was doing and cared about doing a good job. The final bill matched the bid (lower than another bid I received). He didn't try to sell me anything else. I was surprised at the near unanimous 5 star reviews for Aaron Overhead. Other than the Yelper with the possible grudge, and likely a clinical missed diagnosis, I did not see any serious dissent. In fact, I was so impressed with the company engagement on the Yelp platform that I tossed out all my rules and decided to use Aaron as long as the quote was reasonably within the published average cost of replacing 2 broken springs. It just did not make sense for me to shop this job to save a shekel or two when I could use a company with one of the most impressive Yelp reputations I have ever seen. I fired off an email at 5 am with all the details I could muster plus a bunch of geriatric meta-shit shit I probably could have left off to trim the wall of text I sent. Before 8 am some poor soul had actually read what I wrote and replied. (by the name of Heather. I would for sure think Heather was really a bot if I encountered her on Facebook in 2016. She was perfectly methodical and operated methodically perfect with a nearly robotic efficiency that you could tell was developed to make the entire experience as friction-less and customer centric as possible. But I actually expected this particular detail and thoroughness because it was mentioned in many other reviews on Yelp) I set up the install for 24 hours later and never had to call in to speak with someone. It was all done in a couple of texts after I sent the first contact form. The confirmation SMS for the appointment told me my repair guy was Mat and that I would hear from him when he was 30 minutes away. That happened within the earlier hour of my 2 hour window and that pleased me. Matt was professional, dressed like a pro, not a slob, arrived with brand new springs still in boxes and drove an appropriate work truck that seemed to be well maintained. He prepared 3 cost estimates based on minimum needed all the way up to his top shelf recommendations on what to do with my current set up. This opener was purchased and installed in the 1990's and has seen its day - but that day was at least 10 YEARS AGO! haha I was never pressured in any way to get the "dream package" or even the suggested minimums. I decided to go with the original plan of only replacing the springs and instead went with the kick the can down the road strategy I have settled into since this world has become a loony bin. Matt was absolutely fine with that and never once tightened the screws with any pressure at all. 10 minutes into the job I was given some bad news about the torsion rod and clearly shown and explained what the problem was. He ended up having to tear the old rod out and replaced it with a new one for a total of about $50 more added to the job. The old parts are here for me to confront the the source of the shoddy job that rendered the old rod useless. Maybe I can get some reimbursement. Regardless, Matt mitigated a potential nightmare by supplying this part at or near cost and effectively installing it with no charge for labor and the additional hardware needed for the new pole and caps. The garage door had effectively seized and nobody in this household has the strength for manual lifting to get cars out. All this happened Thanksgiving week yet it is as if there was never a doubt that this would be an easy obstacle to remedy. The price was right, the warranty on job and parts is great, and at every step I knew I was dealing with what I sadly refer to as "21st century atypical excellence". 5 stars for sure. read more

My LiftMaster garage door stopped closing out of the blue and it started being a real pain having to get my girlfriend to manually press down the large button every time I left the house. Not really excited about the work. Technician came out to fix small issue. I told them on the phone we needed a new panel. Tech said we needed new wheels and arm. I explained we are getting all new doors soon (as a matter of fact their company was coming out same day) charged $250 for wheels. And almost 400 for the $30 arm and bracket he rigged on the door. No new panel. I asked about the $129 being taken off as I was told I had to have the inspection before they would do any work. He said he didn't need to do an inspection. So then the sales person came by to go over new doors. She said it will come everything including wheels. I said "oh we just got these wheels today from your guy and he said we need to use on new door. She said rolling her eyes, that he knows the doors come with new wheels. No inspection he was here less than 30 minutes ans it was over $600 ans no new panel! When the next company came to prove new doors he said, wow these wheels are really overkill for your door . I was a little concerned that the quality of work would be less as a result. But that was simply not the case. Warning do not do business with this company!!!! I contracted with them to do a commercial door paid them half the money upfront jump through all the hoops with the city to get a permit for them to do the work. I was told they had to come back out and remeasure so we set up an appointment for the next morning 30 minutes before they were supposed to be there I get an email saying they're not coming from the salesman scotty five minutes later I get an email from the general manager Josh Taylor saying that they're not going to do the job I'm going to refund my money. I called the office to speak with Josh I was told he was in a meeting with the owner I left a message for one of them to call me back I was told they would soon as they got out of the meeting not only did they call me back now every time I call they send me to there after hours answering service. Now I'm in a position that I've spent so much time and money getting them approved by the city I'm going to have to have my attorney get involved.
